Benefit B Spot Eau de Toilette
Advantages: smells ok, inexpensive
Disadvantages: not the best smell, plain bottle, donsent last long
I am a long time user of Benefit make up products, and I was surprised to see that they had made a perfume. They called this B Spot and I was given a small bottle as a sample from my local Benefit store to try. I am a lover of perfumes, so thought I might as well give it a go, as I do love to try new things.
The perfume comes in a round, clear bottle with a label on the front. The label is a greeny/gray/blue colour and is quite pretty. It fits in well with the Benefit style of packaging, and looks quite nice on the dresser. It has a round, clear cap which you pull off to find the spray nozzle. The nozzle is easy to press and it dispenses a good amount of perfume each time you spray.
The label on the front of the bottle is easily peeled off, so not something the company have majorally thought about when they were making this perfume.
The scent of the perfume is quite a generic one, and I don't think I could pick it out in a smell test. It has a generally fruity fragrance with a hint of floral in it as well. It is quite a refreshing scent, which does have a slight bit of strength to it when it is first sprayed, but it wears off quickly. I would not say that there is anything special or remarkable about this scent, but it is not a bad one either. It does not excite me in anyway, but there is nothing generally bad to say about it anyway. I would probably wear it again had I nothing else to use, but I would not have it as my first choice.
The scent only lasts a couple of hours at the most, so you have to reapply at regular intervals through out the day. This is not something I would expect from a perfume, and it annoyed me to have to reapply. I like to spray once and have it last all day. I find that this bottle goes really quickly too, as you have to keep reapplying, and it also takes a lot of spray to get a good amount of scent on your skin in the first place.
The top notes in B Spot are: Blackcurrant, Mango, Freesia and Tangerine. The middle notes are Apple Tree Blossom, Orchid, Peony and Watermelon. The base notes are Amber and Sandalwood. These all blend quite well together, but I think a bit more tweaking with the amounts of each note could have been done to make this a much better scent.
B Spot perfume will cost you around £25 for a 50ml bottle. This is a decent price compared to most perfumes you can buy these days, but I do not think it is worth £25 to be honest. You can buy this perfume at any Benefit counter, store or Boutique. You can also buy it on their website www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk.
There are also a few websites online that will sell this, and sometimes at a better price. It is worth having a quick look around online to see what you can find.
I am going to give Benefit B Spot Perfume a 3 out of 5, as it is not brilliant, but it's not terrible either.
Summary: An ok perfume
