I got this recently as a present and I love it! Benefit is a premium brand of cosmetics that always catch my eye but are a bit too expensive for me to buy myself. I wasnt aware that they made perfumes until I recieved this but I am a big fan now I know they do.

Hooked on Carmella smells as the name suggests, very sweet and like caramel. It smells quite strong when you first spray it, but it quickly fades into a nice and subtle scent that isnt too overpowering. I dont like my perfumes to smell too strong, I believe people should be able to smell your scent when they get close, not as soon as you enter a room. When first sprayed it is very sickly sweet, but after a few moments you can detect sugar, vanilla and caramel. It is officially described as having top notes of lemon, grapefruit and rhubarb - middle notes of cyclamen, peony, and tiare flower - and bottom notes of vanilla, sandalwood, and amber. I have to say I cant really detect the fruity notes of lemon and grapefruit but its still a really nice scent all the same. Whats also great about this is that the scent really lasts throughout the day, I can apply it in the morning and still be able to smell it by the time I finish work 8 hours later.

It comes in a very cute smell golden bottle with a gold cap on the top that pulls off to reveal the usual pump action nozzle most perfumes have. The label is the usual recognisable Benefit style - bright, eyecatching and retro/vintage style.

Overall I would definitely recommend this perfume to anyone that loves sweet smelling chocolatey/vanillary scents. It usually costs around £29 which isnt too bad for a bottle of perfume, but it is currently on offer in the january sales. They do a range of different scents but this one is definitely my favourite as vanilla is one of my favourite scents!
