Natural Collection is one of Boots own brand cosmetics, shower and bath range. I first started buying their products with their pocket money when I was about 13, and since then I have continued to use their products. Their body sprays have been around for years, they come in several scents: Vanilla Ice Musk Mango and Papaya Passionfruit Saphire and Sea minerals Wild Strawberry Apple and Lime My personal favourites are the Passionfruit and the Vanilla scents. The passionfruit one is very fruity and fresh, perfect for refreshing my skin and my clothes throughout the day. The Vanilla one is the strongest of them all and very sweet, you dont need to use much of this one to get a long lasting vanillary scent. The body sprays come in clear plastic bottles with spray tops, the bottles have cute little designs on the front representing the scents inside. The spray top works everytime and 2-3 sprays gives you a good coverage. The bottles cost £2 each which is a bargain, but whats even better is that they are nearly always on a 3 for 2 offer, which is great you can get 3 bottles for £2. The same scents also come in matching body washes and shower gels too so you can mix and match them with these products. If, like me, you are not a big fan of strong smelling perfumes then these are definitely ideal, I have been using them for years and I love them!
These Body Sprays have been around years and years. And I have been buying them on and off since I was about 15 years old....I am now 29 so that just shows!!! They come in cute clear plastics bottles just a nice size and are a spray applicator. Each bottle has pretty designs on the front relating to the fragrance. The Spray applicator works every time and dispenses a good amount. You probably need 2 to 3 sprays to get a good long lasting fragrence. Boots has a reputation for good quality and I have found that the Natural Collection always has great good quality products and a decent range in most stores. As the name suggests they are all based on Natural Scents and ingredients which is nice to know that each bottle isn't full of chemicals galore! They come in a great range of scents and I have found all of the following in my local boots:- Apple & Lime Passionfruit Sapphire and Sea Minerals Wild Strawberry Mango & Papaya Vanilla Ice Musk I personally buy the Sapphire and Sea Minerals, Ice Musk and the Passionfruit sprays all of the time. These three scents are lovely, they are light and fresh fragrances. The scent is not too strong but lasts all day! And people are always commenting how nice they are when I am wearing them. I have also tried the Apple and Lime and Wild Strawberry but found the aroma to be too tangy for my liking, but each to their own. The only one I am not keen on is the Vanilla, I find it smells too sickly and is a much stronger scent than the others. The bottles are roughly £2 each but they seem to always be on the 3 for 2 promotion so you can have 3 for just over £4! Amazing value! The bottles also last ages so they are even more value for money. Great little buy!
Having just reviewed both the Dewberry and Rose and Cinnamon sprays from the Natural Collection range, I thought it was worth reviewing some of the others I have used. I have to say that I do giggle a little when I see the Natural Collection name, as to me the collection of body sprays is far from natural and seems to be a very synthetic smelling range of products. In spite of the non natural smell the sprays have, I do rather like some of them. For one thing they are very cheap to buy at just £1.99 for a good sized bottle that holds a good amount of the fragrance. The range of sprays you can buy does change over time to reflect new trends and moods and that way you can be sure your scented body spray is allowing you to keep up with whats in vogue in some way. ********************************************************** I used to like wearing the Dewberry body spray as it offered a fruity floral mix that was pretty and enjoyable to wear. The Rose and Cinnamon spray made me sneeze and cough at times, but was another interesting spray that I used from the collection. Both these have been discontinued and are no longer on sale. I am not too fussed about the Rose spray, but as the Dewberry was nice I hope it returns sometime in the future. Amongst the range that you can still buy a favorite has to be the Ice Musk spray, which is the ranges take on the Body Shops White Musk. The Ice Musk is very fake smelling and has not one natural thing about it as far as I can tell, even so I really like it and have worn it on and off enjoying the slightly cloying thickness of it that softens to a more musky lighter scent. I have a bottle of this lurking and from time to time will spritz some on after a shower which makes it last just that little bit longer. ********************************************************** One of the Natural Collection sprays that I really don't rate at all has to be the Apple and Lime body spray. It is so strong and fake smelling that I can't stand it. I had some of this in a gift set a few years ago and it sat there unused for ages before I felt I should use it up. I could never get into the feel of this scent at all and found the apple to be too strong and synthetic and the lime that was thrown in for good measure just didn't have that zesty tangy feel that lime should have. I have also tried my luck with the Samphire and Sea Minerals body spray which comes as sunny sea blue coloured liquid. It has a very nice fresh scent to it that I enjoyed wearing that wasn't too over powering for me at all. Sadly I can't speak so well about the matching bath ballistic as I still have one sorry looking bath ball left and really don't want to use it. The last one took more than 40 minutes to fully dissolve and stained everything it touched a nasty shade of oil blue. ********************************************************** Other sprays in the range right now are a Wild Strawberry spray that is very very sweet and lasts just a short while, then turns a little sour. A Passion Fruit spray which is rather nice and is tangy yet sweet and not too heavy. A Mango and Papaya spray that is fine for wear on hot summer days as it gives a zesty feel which I like. There is also a Vanilla spray which I have never really enjoyed as it seems to much for my nose to cope with. Over all there are 7 body sprays in the range which should appeal to a wide range of body spray wearers. Some to stand out far more than others and of the existing range I feel the Ice Musk is the one that I like the most, followed by the Samphire and Sea Minerals. As a range the longevity of the scents is rather lacking but at a price of just £1.99 I feel they all offer pretty good value. They are worth looking at if you haven't used them before and I feel the range as a whole ought to get 4 stars.
*** A cheap spray *** I've recently been wanting to buy a new perfume, but with money a little tight at the moment I haven't yet made the plunge. So when I spotted the Natural Collection display in my local Boots, I figured that a £1.99 body spray would tide me over nicely until payday. *** A fun collection *** Natural Collection is a Boots-own range and is aimed at younger girls - I can definitely see my pre-teen nieces enjoying these fun and colourful products. Also the prices are cheap enough to be pocket-money-perfect. But despite their younger appeal, I have always enjoyed using the odd Natural Collection product and, though not the greatest quality, they are fun, cheap and cheerful, and the range is often on 3 for 2. There are seven body sprays available in the range, including vanilla, wild strawberry and ice musk. *** Acid bright *** I guess one of the complaints that could be made about this range is that the colours and fragrances do seem a little artificial. And when it comes to colour, this body spray is definitely not the most natural looking as it is a bright, acid green, But this is what caught my eye at first as the spray, in its see-through bottle, is so hard to miss! *** Crisp scent *** I don't usually like apple-scented products but I decided to give the tester a try anyway, and I was pleasantly surprised to find the scent really fresh and clean, with a definite crisp scent of apple and the fruity undertones of lime. The apple is definitely the stronger of the two scents, but neither is overpowering. So although it wasn't a typical choice of product for me, I popped into into my basket and, a mere £1.99 later, I trotted home very pleased with my lovely bargain purchase. But sadly, since then I have been a little disappointed with my purchase. *** Fade away *** The problem for me is that the scent has no staying power at all. It just fades away almost instantly and I can honestly say that if I spray this on in the morning, the smell has all but disappeared by the time I get to work about an hour later. This is a real shame as I think it's such a lovely fragrance - but fairly pointless as it's so short-lived. I guess at such a cheap price this is partly to be expected but it makes this a worthless purchase and not even worth less than £2! *** Summary *** So overall I was really disappointed with this. But I would say that this won't put me off making other purchases from the Natural Collection range as I've usually been pleased with the products I've tried. It's just a shame that this turned out to be a bit of a bright green disaster!
Oh this body spray brings back some memories. When my sister and I were young kids, we used to love going into Boots and trying out all their wide range of body sprays. It was the only aisle we ever really used to go down when our mum was shopping for make up. We would spend ages spritzing each other and ourselves with all the different sprays, never buying any though! I think we must have really annoyed the people working in there, as they were probably waiting for us to choose one to take over to the tills. Eventually, me and my sister managed to get our hands on some of this spray. We saved up some pocket money and at last we took some over to the tills. I remember us buying about five bottles, paying together as we worked out that way we could save money and get as many flavours in as possible. In my time I think I have tried out every single one of the flavours. These are the flavours they currently sell (they can only be bought in Boots): *Vanilla *Ice musk *Wild Strawberry *Passion fruit *Mango and papaya *Samphire and sea minerals *Apple and lime They only cost £1.99 each which I think is great value for money. They are from the natural collection at Boots. They don't seem to last very long, although that might be to do with how much of this you spray on (we sprayed a lot on as kids!) and they seem to last longer, the older and maturer you get :) The bottle design they sell them with now, is a little different to the one shown in the picture but you can still see the resemblance. If you want to know what it looks like, it is shown in the Boots website. I have always liked these body sprays, more than any other brands similar to them that I have tried, for example Ted Baker. They always seem to be gentle on your skin and I have never noticed any irritations. They are a quality product you can trust, in my opinion. I definitely recommend these sprays as they are definitely worth trying.
Boots Natural Collection Body Sprays come in a variety of scents including Strawberry, Passionfruit, Samphire & Sea Minerals, Vanilla, Mango & Papaya, Apple & Lime, and Ice Musk. I have tried all of the scents and they are all very nice smelling. Passionfruit is probably my favourite as it is a nice, sweet-smelling scent, great for summer! All the body sprays come in very nice, well packaged bottles and boots use a different colour for every bottle, such as red for strawberry. The patterns on the bottles are very pretty and very appealing. The bottles hold 75ml of spray which is quite alot. However 75ml doesnt go a very long way as you have to spray quite alot to make the smell on you last. The price per body spray is a very reasonable £1.99 and all the different sprays can either be purchased online or in-store. However, it is probably best to buy the body spray/s online as they always have every different body spray in stock online, whereas you cant be sure they will have a certain scent in stock instore. Overall, these are very nice body sprays that i would recommend to anybody who wants to smell nice! Although, a bottle doesnt go very far as you will probably need to spray alot to get a strong smell.
My first memories of the Boots Natural Collection is from about 15 years ago when I was 14 and I bought their White Musk range. I have been buying the Natural Collection ever since on and off since. Recently I wanted a new scent but didn't want to spend a fortune on an expensive perfume. I decided on the Vanilla body spray as it was summery and sweet smelling. It also reminds me of my teenage years and makes me smile. The first thing I like about this body spray is that it comes in a pump action bottle that seems to deposit more of the spray where I want it than an aerosol. I also like the design on the bottle - a see through bottle with a black band printed on it with the logo and product name, and a vanilla flower pattern scattered up the body of the bottle. It looks classy enough to be on display in a bathroom and although body sprays are really more of a teenage product, it also doesn't look out of place in an adult bathroom. The smell of the product is an intense vanilla scent that may for some be a bit overpowering. I tend to use it sparingly as it is quite strong. I carry it during the day as it does freshen you up when needed and wakes up your mind if you feel a bit worn down. I wouldn't recommend layering this product with the other vanilla body products that Boots do in the Natural Collection as the result could be a little overpowering. In conclusion - a good budget buy that smells great and not too much like a cheap body spray. I would still chose an actual perfume over this but as I am on a budget at the moment, this makes a great alternative.
I've been lucky enough to have been given some expensive perfumes as presents over the years but try not to use them everyday. I like trying the various body sprays & cheaper scents that my daughters often leave around in the bathroom & one of the ones I've tried recently was Boots Natural Collection. These come in several smells including citrus & strawberry but this one caught my eye as it's Vanilla which usually takes me back to my youth & many pleasant memories that I subconsciously still have. I think this range is geared very much towards the younger market & I don't think that anyone would thank me (at 56) wearing strawberry but vanilla doesn't seem to smell wrong on any age I don't think. To be fair I sometimes use the Bodyshop vanilla fragrance & wasn't expecting such a strong smell as this Natural Collection - I find it too overpowering & not like the subtle one I'm used to. I actually smell as if I work in an ice-cream company & can't seem to get rid of the smell on my clothes. It cost around £1.47 for the 150 ml, rather attractive bottle with its pull-off cap & pump dispenser - this. I feel is where the problem lies - you push down the pump but it dispenses too much at a time & you can't therefore gauge how much you want to squirt although it's telling me on the label to 'spray lightly'?. However hard you try you either don't get any spray at all or you get too much! The ingredients should have given me a clue I guess as it includes vanilla extract, dipropylene glycol, hydroxyisohexyl 3 - cyclohexenecarbo-xaldehyde etc -nothing natural here that I can see. Now I understand why this bottle was left barely used in our bathroom. I'm wondering who it would suit & can only suggest it may be OK for a little girl's first perfume but may be concerned about the ingredients for very young skin? I wouldn't use it as an air freshener nor donate it to one of our many charity shops, so I don't think I'll have any alternative but to bin it which is something I very rarely ever have to do. summary ~ - nice bottle, shame you can't get out just a little of the product at a time. - very sweet & very strong smell of vanilla - too overpowering for us. - can smell a bit sickly after a while. - don't like the sound of the ingredients - no wonder it says keep away from polished surfaces!
The Natural Collection Sprays from Boots come in a number of different aromas - this review refers specifically to their 'Strawberry' body spray. I was given this for Christmas about three years ago, and it was part of a shower / bath crème set and it was so cute. It comes in a clear see-through bottle and the pinky red liquid did look like something straight out from the chemistry lab. This is actually a really nice spray - but only to be used in small amounts and only occasionally... It has a gorgeous sweet strawberry smell and really wins you over when you first open the bottle to try it. It was a long time since I had worn strawberry body spray and I now remember why. It was a good thing that I was given this during the holidays and I still had the following few days off, I decided to give the bottle of spray a try... After a couple of hours, the sweetness of it was beginning to irritate me. Perhaps, To be fair the spray did make me feel more girly, and frighteningly, does have some intoxicating effects (psychologically !) however when you're in your late 20s, you do not want to be acting like an immature foolish school girl (no I was not drunk) and I did wonder why I felt a little nostalgic about this. It is a big taboo especially when you have to be marching into work in an expensive dark suit, all done up smart and sophisticated - only to walk past some of your colleagues to give them a whiff of this... not very professional. I suppose, the good thing about it is, particularly when it represents us girls in our sweet innocent years. To be fair this is a lovely strawberry body spray, but more suitable for little girls and for those of us who still love it of course. It is very easy to over do it with the bottle - perhaps they should somehow program the spray to release less of the perfume. The aroma tends to linger on forever, so a little does go a long way. I have tried a few others from the same range in the past so this is actually true with the whole of Boots' Natural Collection. At £1.99 for a 150ml bottle, you can't really ask for any better as it lasts for ages.
The Natural Collection Body Spray is available in a variety of fabulous fragrances /
