      .

Well now we are after Christmas I have got lots of Perfumes and smelly stuff things to review. As usual they made up the majority of my presents, as people know how much I love things like that. Also it means I don't have to buy them for myself and if I don't like the smell then i've not had to pay out for them! Hope everyone had a good Christmas as well buy the way!

I thought this was an odd present for me. I'm not being age-ist or that but I was first into Dewberry the same time as I was White Musk. I think I was 13 or 14 and I used to lager myself in it to impress a boy. It was my first scent I got into and I think most teenagers got into these 2 scents. I got this from my niece who is also a teenager so she is probably into the scent as well. I got this and a Shower Gel. I smelt this and it smells exactly how I remember it did.

This is from Boots but I think this smells just as nice as the Body Shop one but a good bit cheaper. This comes in a 125ml bottle. It is a pump action bottle which makes it more economical which is good as well. The bottle is pretty simple looking. It is a plastic bottle with a wrap around label on it. Isn't that tall, but tall enough and that bit dumpy. The little lid is a simple plastic lid. All ok looking and it's more what's inside the bottle that's important.

So how does this smell? It's exactly how I remember it so I guess this scent never does change. Interestingly enough in a Dewberry scent there isn't just the 1 scent through this. There is Watermelon and Peacha s well, so there is a light and fruity mix of scents mixed with the slightly musky deeper scent of Dewberry.

Not 100% sure of the price of this being a present but I know the last time I looked at the Natural Collection it was under £3, whereas I think the Body Shop ones are around £6-£7.

It's a nice scent. It's light, fruity and fresh. A couple of sprays from this goes a long way and although the initial strong scent of this doesn't last all that long, you can still smell a lighter scent of this later in the day. Perhaps not someone I would buy myself thesedays, but a nice change just now and a blast from the past.

        A fruity summer spray

I used to love the range of Dewberry based products that Boots stocked as part of their natural collection range. One of the products I bought on a regular basis was the Dewberry Body Spray. I know that there is no such thing as a Dewberry and its a made up name for the blend of ingredients that are within the bottle. Even so I use to like spraying on a touch of this from time to time.

The Dewberry Body Spray bottle that I used to buy contained a funky looking purple coloured liquid that smelled very synthetic but amazingly good. It came in a simple plastic spray top bottle with a small brightly coloured motif to make the plain clear plastic look a little more alluring to the buyer. The lid was serviceable clear plastic and the spray top was made from the same material but in black.

As for how my Dewberry Body Spray stayed on the skin, I have to say it did fade after a few hours, which meant I needed to spray a little more onto my skin to maintain the fragrance. I can't say that bothered me too much as I used to pay just £1.99 for my Dewberry Spray.

The slim plastic bottle my Dewberry Body Spary came in must have held at least 125mls of the fragrance. This meant I was able to spray this on as much or as little as I wanted, with no worries about wasting an expensive scent. I found that the fruity floral smell of the Dewberry Spray was lovely as a pick me up on warm days and could be lightly spritzed all over the body after a shower, then layered with the matching body lotion to give a full blown heady and fruity scent.

To describe how fruity and floral the Dewberry Body Spray was will possibly only make real sense to anyone who has worn a Dewberry based fragrance. After all it is a synthetic blend made up to suit the tastes of fragrance wearers of several years ago. I think that the scent had a cassis, apple and pear base that gave it the fruity tangy feeling that I liked. This did dry down to a less full blown scent but was always present.

Amongst the florals there were hints of rose, jasmine and freesia which gave a pretty background to the fruity ingredients. These florals were backed up by musk and a hint of peach which held everything together and made the floral fruity smell last just a little longer on the skin. As this was an all over body spray type product, I could use it on arms and legs as well as on the wrists to give a very pretty summer scent.

        **********************************************************
I haven't been able to buy a Dewberry Body Spray from Boots for a number of years, as they seem to have changed the range with the times andDewberry has fallen out of favour. At the time when I wore this it was a popular scent which was widely worn and liked. It always had a synthetic fake feel about it but I still liked it and thought it had a lovely fruity tangy vibe.

As far as rating my Dewberry Body Spray from Boots I feel that at the time it was a pleasure to wear and I want to give it 4 stars. I would have liked more from it a it did fade after a few hours wear. However for the £1.99 price tag I really think it was a bargain, especially when compared to the Body Shop version which was more expensive to buy.
