I really like the bottle to this one. It's pink and girly and I like the added atomizer. It's really sweet. The perfume is what I would describe as a fruity floral. It's quite a sweet scent that's aimed at the younger generation. The scent smells really fresh when you first spray it and the lighter floral notes start to show. The perfume smells quite strong initially so I suggest squirting a little of it to begin with and then topping up the scent later on in the day if it starts to fade. The perfume has good staying power. It's not the most solid of perfumes but it does last for a good few hours before it needs a top up. I love topping this up as it smells beautiful whilst it's fresh. However, that doesn't mean that it smells awful once it has settled. Once the perfume has settled it starts to smell a little musky and the heavier floral notes start to show. The perfume is nice though and it's a lovely feminine scent. It's ideal for casual wear. I wear this to work just to smell nice and it does the job. I would recommend something a little heavier for evening wear, like Midnight Fantasy or something similar. This is more of a daytime scent. I would recommend this scent though. It was a limited edition but it's still available to buy on sites such as eBay and Amazon.co.uk. 4 out of 5 stars from me. It's a "nice" scent, different from the norm. I love that bottle too!
I do like Britney's perfumes. Although theya re probably more aimed at the younger ladies out there I would guess from Teenage upwards. I think this is more because of the Britney branding but I like it and i'm certainly out of that bracket. I think this is a limited edition but it has been out for a while and still can be found online on some places. I like Curious by her, so Curious Heart was worth a try. I got a 100ml bottle of this for £25, which I think is a good enough price. The bottle and box looks just like the Dooyoo picture. It is quite girly and feminine, and nice enough. I think it gives the image of a sugary sweet scent. The bottle is a nice light pink colour, and there is little darker pink coloured hearts and other things dotted all over the bottle, so that makes it look nicer. A nice thing about this Bottle as well is it has an Atomizer on it. Some people I know can't be bothered with something like that, I don't mind and it gives a good coverage and makes it look a bit fancier as well. So how does this smell? It is nice. Pretty fruity, and overall a nice smell. This seems to have quite a few notes in it, and these include pear, Peach, Vanilla, White Woods, Sandalwood and jasmine. So a nice mix of Fruity and Light mixed with some heavier notes. I would say this is a more daytime scent than a night time one. This seems to last quite a while as well. Although it does seem to get fainter after a couple of hours which seems a bit quicker than other similar priced and branded Perfumes I use, I don't mind to squirt a bit more of this as I like the initial scent. Probably more suited to either a younger Perfume wearer or those who like lighter, ffruity, fresh scents. A nice addition to the Britney Perfume collection, and recommended by me.
The House of Britney Spears decided to re-release the Britney Spears Curious perfume for Valentine's Day about 3 years ago though this time, although still following mostly the same scent notes, it wad given an even sweeter twist. Even though it was such a minor change, I wanted the perfume and managed to pick up a bottle for £10.00 in the sale in TJ Hughes. Curious Heart was supposed to be released for a limited time but it is still available in a fair few shops - TJ Hughes, Boots and Superdrug are all stores which still regularly stock this scent as well as online stores and eBay. The perfume is available in 50ml and 100ml bottles and they cost in the region of £14.99 and £19.99 respectively (though I got my 100ml bottle a bit cheaper than this). Curious Heart came in a romantic baby pink box with pink hearts and all sides. The front of the box has a picture of a heart with wings and a band running through the middle saying "Curious Heart - Britney Spears". It is very much a tattoo design. It's a really nice box - it is girl but a bit rocky. Inside the box you are greeted with the limited edition perfume bottle. The perfume bottle is completely different to the design of the original Curious perfume bottle. Losing the Art Deco Hollywood glamour style, this bottle is the same baby pink as the box and you cannot see inside the bottle so you never know how much perfume there is left. The bottle is the same flying saucer shape as the original but that is as much resemblence as you can find between the two designs. The body of the perfume bottle has the same tattoo design - a darker pink heart with two yellow feathered looking wings on either side of it and then a blue banner running across the front of the heart stating the name of the perfume and Britney Spears' name. Around the edge of the bottle there are little hearts and stars and the tattoo design is repeated on both sides of the bottle. Further up the bottle is a pink spray nozzle though with the 100ml you also get an interchangable puffer spray to give it that dressing table look. This is bright pink and has tassles hanging off of the end of it. Although I have this puffer, I do find it a bit testing to use as it seems to take ages to get any perfume out of the bottle and when you do it doesn't seem to be alot so I tend to stick to the standard nozzle. It is a very modern looking perfume bottle but I do think it makes the perfume appear to be for a younger crowd. Scent wise if you do not use the original Britney Spears Curious on a regular basis then you probably won't notice the difference. It is very similar in scent however, regular users of the perfume will be able to notice it easily. Curious Heart is alot sweeter, alot more girly and very heady. Like the original, the scent notes are still made up of Louisiana magnolia, golden anjou pear, lotus flower, tuberose, star jasmine, pink cyclamen, vanilla musk, sandalwood and blonde woods. Rather than being able to smell the vanilla, sandalwood and the fruitier notes of the perfume, the floral notes are much much stronger and much heavier. It is much more girly and unless you like florals I would avoid this perfume. It is still girly like Curious but it is far too girly. I like floral scents but this edition is just a little bit too much but I may notice the heavier floral notes because I am so used to the original perfume. It definately plays more on the white florals which are infused into it. The magnolia is definately stronger and makes me think of magnolia scented air wick though I am sure that thinking of an air freshener when wearing a perfume is probably not a good thing! In regards to the staying power of Curious Heart, I can honestly say it is alot better than Curious. Curious barely lasts 3-4 hours on me but Curious Heart lasts all day long which is great - there is no need to top it up during the day. I would say that this perfume is more of a summer perfume as the heat makes the florals really come out and creates a summery scent. It is also more of a day scent than it is an evening scent. It is stronger than Curious as I have always found Curious to be a weak scent. Personally, I prefer do prefer Curious. Curious Heart was brought out for Valentine's Day and it tries to capture the feminity of the day and the girliness of the florals in the perfume. I much preferred the woody scent of Curious and the slightly musky haze it brought to the scent. A nice scent but I do prefer the original. I would recommend this perfume to the hardcore Britney perfume addicts but if you just use occassionally then I would stick to the original.
I just knew that perfume would come back into the highest category at some point so Ive been saving all my perfume reviews for just that moment and it's finally here! Just in time for me to buy all the Christmas pressies so cheers Dooyoo. Anyway I have to admit I am a bit of a perfume junkie and I try and test out as many different scents as I can get my hands on and the 'limited edition' scents are no different which is why I was dying to try out this 'Britney Spears - Curious Heart Perfume'. Im a big fan of the original Curious scent and most of Britney's other perfume attempts so I knew I would more than likely LOVE this one - plus the bottle is so cute and I knew I had to have it! Thankfully I have not been let down with this one. Useful Information: Price: 100ml bottle - Around 25.00 Stockists: As this was a limited edition as far as I know its no longer available in stores BUT it can be picked up quite easily from sites like Amazon & eBay. Other Info: For women & is described as a 'feminine, floral scent' which I have to admit isnt usually my cup of tea (I prefer fruitier scents) but as Ive been impressed with every other Britney fragrance I thought Id give this one a go. The Bottle: I think will have peoples opinions divided as while I love it most other people Ive asked seem to think its a bit tacky and prefer the original Curious bottle. I do prefer the original but I reckon this one is just as nice and more girly and fun more than anything else. The bottle is designed in the same shell kind of shape as the original but this one is a light pink in colour (also NOT transparent which is a little annoying but not a major flaw) and is covered in little tattoo like images such as little bright pink hearts. The best thing about the bottle design in my opinion is the bright magenta atomizer which I personally LOVE. It adds something different as I dont see them on many perfumes and I think it makes the whole design look much more expensive and classy - and it means you dont go spraying loads of perfume every time you want to use this. Id definitely say the bottle will appeal more to young girls/teenagers in my opinion because I think older women would find it too young and a bit tacky but it looks good on my dressing table so Im pretty impressed. Not as nice as the original I grant you but lovely in its own right. The Smell: As Im pretty rubbish when it comes to picking out the individual notes in a perfume I did a bit of digging online and apparantly the main scents for this perfume are: Jasmine, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Musk, White Woods, Peach, Pear, Lotus & Magnolia. Some of those ingredients you might recognise from the original Curious line-up as most of them are the same so regular wearers of either fragrance will be able to tell the difference but I reckon casual wearers might not. The vanilla & peach scents Id say are most noticable straight away which doesnt fit into the floral description at all. In fact this starts off really warm, fruity and sweet which is not what I expected, the scent is strong but not overpowering and it quickly dies down to reveal the more musky, floral notes underneath. The magnolia and musk are definiately the strongest scents when this starts to die down (and for the rest of the time your wearing it!) and its surprising because it starts out quite light and fruity and then turns into a really nice musky, floral scent which is a bit heavier and better suited for night wear. Theres no doubt that this DOES smell slightly like the original fragrance but this one is much more suited for use at night Id say whereas the other is better for the day. This one is much more floral and much heavier than its predecessor so the two are in fact very different. They simply share some of the same fragrances. Other Comments: I think this perfume based on both bottle and smell would be more suited to younger girls/teenagers simply because even at my age (and Im only 19!) Im starting to want a perfume thats a bit less girly and more feminine and wearable all year round. This ones a bit hard because you cant try before you buy but the liklehood is if you like Curious you will like this one as well. This perfume is more suited for wearing at night because of the heavy notes. Staying power for this one is pretty good in my experience. This tends to last on my skin for around 5-6 hours before I need to re-apply which is quite good I think. And lastly would I recommend it? If you like Curious yes. But I recommend this for the younger generation. Thanks For Reading. x0 Salz 0x
Britney Spears: Curious Heart, Eau de Parfum**** I love perfumes so much so when this came out around valentimes day earlier this year I had to buy it!!! **Brand** Britney spears perfumes are created by Elizabeth Arden which to me is quite a high end brand. Bottle design* This has the exact same design as the normal curious but has quite a tacky pink shade instead of the clear blue on the other one. I think that this makes the perfume bottle look cheap. **smell** To be honest I was rather disapointed to find that this was the exact same as the normal curious. I dont think the advertising for this made it very clear that it was the same. The smell of this is really nice, quite a girly scent and I would recommend it as a daytime perfume for someone quite young- perhaps a teenager or someone in their early twenties. The other review on this has stated that they are slightly different but i cant tell the differance so would say if you want it just to buy the original as it will probabily be cheaper than this one.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - Friendly warning - - - - - - - - - - - - - The individual scent notes in CURIOUS HEART are the same as the original CURIOUS, so if you're just a casual wearer of the original I doubt you'll notice the difference, so there is no use in getting this. - - - - - - - - - - - The fragrance - - - - - - - - - - - Britney's 650 million selling fragrance Curious is available for a limited time with altered concentrations of ingredients in a tattoo patterned bottle. When it's gone it's not coming back, so grab it while you can. Other people described the original as being sweet, but I always got a sharp, tangy first impression. That's not the case here; The sweet florals are much heavier this time, so CURIOUS HEART is sweet, heady and ultra-feminine from top to bottom. I couldn't detect the pear or vanilla this time and the woods and musk are very light, so if you're not fond of straight laced florals I doubt this will be suitable. - - - - - - - - - - Scent notes - - - - - - - - - - Magnolia, pear, lotus, tuberose, cyclamen, jasmine, sandalwood, musk, white woods and vanilla. - - - - - - - - - The bottle - - - - - - - - - The limited bottle pattern is the biggest difference. It's solid pink, with tattoo style hearts embelmed on the top half. The design reminds me of the Betsey Johnson style. It is available in a 50ml bottle [not just the 100ml as advertised], which has a regular spray nozzle. It's the 100ml bottle that catches everyones eye. The larger size has an old fashioned atomizer and a screw cap, so it can be re-used. The atomizer is extremly pretty, but they are fragile. Mine is still fine, but my original Curious' broke, so bear that in mind. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Other buying considerations - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - This edition lasts longer then the original - it lasts all day on me. As the florals are very heady, I'd recommend avoiding wearing this in hotter weather. Apart from intense heat, I'd say this is good all year round. This a a classic white floral, so anyone or any age can wear it, but a lot of teens wear it, so that may put some people off. - - - - - - - - - My opinion - - - - - - - - - I usually dislike white florals; they just don't work with my body chemistry, so I love to keep a bottle of this on hand for a change. Curious or CURIOUS HEART? If you love Curious I'd try this for sure, but if you like it but don't love it I don't think there's really much point to be honest; This is just a more intense variation. Personally; Although I do like this and will use it up, I do prefer the original because I can detect the fruit and the woods were stronger, so it wasn't just a straight up and down floral. - - - - - - Price - - - - - - I've seen CURIOUS HEART in Superdrug as well as in many online stores, so you can test it before commiting to ordering it. The 50ml bottle is £14.99 and the 100ml is only £19.99. I've not seen much variation in prices instore or online.
