Hidden Fantasy is another perfume following the Britney Spears Fantasy theme. Again, the bottle is the same style as the previous Fantasy perfumes although it is red in colour. Hidden Fantasy can be bought in various different sized bottles. I noticed the 100ml bottle was on offer in Boots so I bought it to add to the rest of my collection. I paid just over £20 for it, which isn't bad for a 100ml bottle. Hidden Fantasy is fruity citrusy perfume with floral notes. It's very feminine. It's more of a mature fragrance compared to the rest of the Fantasy collection, which are all quite sweet fragrances.
Hidden Fantasy has top notes of grapefruit tree blossom, sweet orange, tangerine, and French flowering verbena. The orange and tangerine notes are quite strong when you first spray it. If you dislike citrusy scents you're probably best leaving this one. You can still detect the citrusy notes even when the perfume has settled. In fact quite a few people have compared the scent of this perfume to washing up liquid! The middles notes consist of sambac jasmine, star gazer lilies and clove. The clove gives the scent a warming heart and the jasmine adds a floral touch to the perfume. However you can still smell the orange...!
The base notes of the scent are Mexican vanilla bean, radiant amber, jacaranda wood and fluid sandalwood accord. Once the perfume has settled on your skin for a few hours you can detect the sandalwood and it smells really nice. It's a good base to the perfume and it leaves the skin smelling quite musky and sophisticated.
I do like this perfume but I think Britney has done better. I think it might be too citrusy for some as the orange and tangerine notes are quite overpowering. It's a nice summer scent though and when I spray it I think of summer holidays in Spain and beaches.
I like it but this isn't for everyone. Grab a tester if you can!
I bought this Britney Spears Hidden Fantasy perfume between Christmas and New Year when I saw the gift set for just £12.99.
I don't have many celebrity fragrances. This is only the third celebrity fragrance in my collection, but there are quite a few more that I want to add to my collection including the others from the Britney Spears Fantasy range. I know that Fantasy (the pink one) and Midnight Fantasy (the blue one) are hugely popular.
~ Bottle ~
The bottle is spherical with a flat base. It is a lovely, deep red colour and it has small pink diamantes evenly stuck around the bottle. The lid is also spherical.
I love the shape of the bottle, but I don't like the diamantes. I think they are a bit tacky. I have read other reviews that said the diamantes on their bottle had come off, but none of mine are loose.
I don't know if the bottle would look too plain if it didn't have the diamantes on.
~ Price ~
You can buy this eau de parfum online at www.allbeauty.com.
The 100ml bottle is £14.75 (RRP £38.00).
The 50ml bottle is £13.30 (RRP £29.00).
The 30ml bottle is £8.45 (RRP £25.00).
I would never have paid full price for this. I think all celebrity fragrances have a higher initial selling price so that they make you feel like you're getting more money off when it is on offer.
~ Scent ~
At first I really liked this fragrance, but I have to admit I have gone off it a bit now.
The notes are said to be sweet orange, tangerine, grapefruit blossom, verbena, clove, Napolitano cake, Stargazer lily, Sambac jasmine, vanilla bean, Jacaranda wood, sandalwood and amber.
That sounds like a lot of notes!
The perfume smells very strongly of orange, but I wouldn't describe it as sweet orange. It is quite bitter and strong.
There are floral undertones, but the orange scent dominates the fragrance. The vanilla note gives the fragrance a cleaner feel to it.
The perfume does have depth to it, but I feel that it still has quite a cheap scent.
I do like the orange scent once it dies down a bit after initially spraying it. It is quite citrusy, rather than being fruity.
The fragrance doesn't seem to develop or change much on my skin.
It lasts for around 5 hours on my skin before wearing off, but it does not have very good projection and I don't think others would notice this scent on me.
I think this perfume is aimed towards younger girls and teens, but I think some people might find the orange note a bit harsh and I don't think this scent will appeal to the masses.
I will enjoy the rest of my bottle, but I won't buy this fragrance again. It is alright, but nothing too special.
~* An Old Favourite *~
I have had several bottles of this perfume over the last few years and my current bottle of it was given to me last Christmas. It is an all time favourite of mine and I have been using it pretty much since it first came out. It was launched around 2008/2009, so is one of the more recent perfumes in Britney's fantasy range, though not that recent and in the past four or so years I have gotten through about six bottles of it as I wear it most days. When I was younger I would spray about half a bottle on me at a time haha I really love the smell. Now I'm getting older I feel like I should move on to more mature and classy fragrances but for now I'm going to continue using it,
~* Price *~
When this perfume first came out I remember that it was quite pricy with it being celebrity endorsed - around the £40 mark for 30ml I think (this is an educated guess) but nowadays it can be picked up in drugstores, perfume shops etc for around £20 for 30ml. Whenever I need a new bottle of it, I tend to buy mine from Amazon whenever I have a gift voucher, as they sell the 100ml bottle for just £15 which I think is amazing value and whenever I am stuck for gift ideas when I am buying for friends who are around my age I tend to buy them a bottle of this as I know how lovely it is and it doesn't damage my purse too much!
~* Bottle Design *~
I love all of the bottles in the Fantasy range and they are all the same design, just different colours. This one is my favourite colour - it is a gorgeous deep shade of red, and has light pink diamanté style gemstones all over it, which when I was younger I thought looked amazing but now I am older I do think it looks slightly.. tacky, yet I still love the overall design.
The shape of the bottle is round, and it feels quite solid. It looks a little like plastic but it is made from solid glass which I assure you doesn't break easily, in fact I've never had a bottle that has broken and considering how accident prone I am the bottles have fell off of my shelf and onto the floor a few times! The bottle fits nicely in my hand and isn't too big and it sits amongst my other Fantasy perfumes on my shelf. I find that this colour of bottle stands out most as it is darker.
The spay nozzle is covered by a round piece of glass which just slots into the nozzle. The neck of the bottle has a detailed, raised band around it which is the same colour as the rest of the perfume bottle. The design isn't really that exciting, but I like it and I like how it looks on my shelf.
~* Fragrance Notes *~
The top notes are made up of sweet orange, grapefruit blossoms, French flowering verbena & tangerine. Now I don't know about you but I've never really heard of fresh flowering verbena, but it sounds expensive! The middle notes includes napolitana cake (again, I've never heard of this before - cake?!?!), clove, stargazer lily and sambac jasmin. The base notes are mexican vanilla bean, sandalwood, amber & jacaranda wood. This is a perfume packed full of fragrance, and it smells delicious. It is described as a 'seductive scent that is all about expressing the many mysterious sides of a woman' and is said to be ideal for both night and at wear,
~* My Opinion *~
This is one of my favourite fragrances in the Britney Spears - Fantasy range of perfumes. It has the usual trademark sweetness, but it has a little more depth which prevents it from smelling quite as sickly sweet. It is both fruity and floral with a little muskiness too and it is very fresh and girlie. Like all of Britney's fragrances in this range it is quite a youthful fragrance which reminds me of going to the park during the summer or getting ready for a night out. It is a relatively warm fragrance though, especially when ive been wearing it for about half an hour, so will suit any season.
In my opinion the main scent when I smell it is a zesty, almost candy like citrus fragrance which fades disappointingly quickly, and is soon almost completely masked by a strong, very sweet vanilla fragrance. After a while of wearing it this calms down a lot and becomes warmer and spicier, which reminds me a little of Christmas, though it seems a bit like a big mix of fragrances rather than me being able to take a whiff and instantly recognise what I am smelling.
By this point I usually reapply it as I find once the sweetness has worn off it can smell a bit too masculine for me, but as soon as I squirt another couple of sprays on my wrist it is back to being sweet and fresh, which is why I really like this fragrance - it is versatile. As for being a 'mysterious and seductive' scent, I disagree. It is just a floral, citrussy, sweet smelling perfume with a hint of musk and depth and it is not a perfume that I would wear for a night out with my fiance as it is a little too sweet and when it begins to fade the smell becomes a little un-feminine, which is odd considering the initial girly, youthful, fun smell. The lasting power from the minute I put it on to the minute I can barely smell it is around the five hour mark, however if I get it on my clothes it will linger for literally days.
One thing that I will mention is that the quality of the bottles can really vary. As I have already mentioned I have had several bottles of this over the years, and while most are good quality I've had a few which aren't, for example the diamantés will fall off and leave ugly indentments in the bottle. But, I am not going to complain too much because I like the smell a lot, so the bottle design and quality is rather irrelevant, and for the low price that I pay I am not too bothered about a slightly badly made bottle.
~* All in All *~
Though not without small faults, this is one of my favourite perfumes in the Fantasy range and I would definitely recommend it, unless of course after reading my review you don't like the sound of it!
In the run up to Mothers Day, my four year old son informed me that he would be buying me some perfume as a gift with the help of Daddy. Knowing that neither of the boys had much spare cash to spend, I pointed them in the direction of our local Wilko store and told my fiance that I liked any Britney Spears perfume except for Curious. On Mothers Day, I awoke to find a lovely bottle of Britney Spears Hidden Fantasy - good choice boys!
~Hidden Fantasy EDP~
Released : 2008
Fragrance family : floral/fruity
'A sweet nectar of sparkling citrus blossoms, succulent florals and mysterious musks'.
This Eau de parfum as available as a stand alone perfume or as part of a gift set which includes a body souffle in the same scent. Hidden Fantasy is one of five perfumes in the Fantasy collection. It was created by Rodrigo Flores-Roux and released by Elizabeth Arden.
*Top notes (the initial scent) - tangarine, sweet orange, grapefruit blossoms and French flowering verbena
*Heart notes (the main body of the scent) - Napolitano cake, sambac jasmine, clove and stargazer lily
*Base notes (the finishing scent) - Jacaranda wood, sandalwood, amber and Mexican vanilla bean
As with the other Fantasy perfumes, the bottle design for Hidden Fantasy is identical in shape - a heavy, round glass bottle with a textured neck design and round lid. The Hidden Fantasy bottle is a deep red colour with baby pink gems on it. A red, beautifully designed outer box holds the bottle in place. I do find the Fantasy bottles to look a little on the cheap side but they are nicely designed.
~Where To Buy~
Hidden Fantasy is a very cheap and readily available perfume to buy. It is available in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml sizes and also as part of a gift set which includes a 100ml EDP and 100ml body souffle. The current prices are below :
*Wilko - £10.00 (30ml)
*Amazon - £11.59 (30ml), £16.35 (50ml), £20.26 (100ml) and £17.98 (gift set)
*Fragrance Direct - £12.50 (30ml) and £19.99 (100ml)
I am a big fan of the Fantasy range of perfumes. I do like to try celebrity endorsed perfumes and whilst some aren't all that nice, the Fantasy range has been produced by a well known brand (Elizabeth Arden) and is an affordable range of perfumes. I currently have a bottle of Midnight Fantasy and Hidden Fantasy in my perfume collection but have tried the original Fantasy and Circus Fantasy too. There is a new addition to this range called Island Fantasy and I look forward to trying that one too!
Hidden Fantasy is said to have a dessert theme and this appeals to me as I love sweet scents. Despite how cheap this perfume actually is, the first spray doesn't reek of alcohol like some other cheap perfumes. It smells absolutely gorgeous from the moment the fine mist makes contact with my skin. I find a few sprays on my neck and on each of my wrists to be more than plenitiful. Anymore than this, the scent can become an overpowering cloud of sweetness and in turn, can come across as being a tad sickly.
Hidden Fantasy, despite being classed as a 'gourmand' scent, isn't quite as sweet as the other Fantasy scents. This may suit others as the sweetness isn't as heavy in the top notes. It opens with a fresh and zingy citrus blend with sweet undertones. It is bright, sparkling opening with the sweet orange and tangarine being evident but toned down by the verbena. After a short while, the orange aroma changes as the freshness disappears and a softer, orange sweetie type scent which is lovely if a bit synthetic smelling.
After 45mins or so, the heart of Hidden Fantasy becomes evident and is very appealing. The tangarine from the top notes is still noticeable and is enhanced by the cloves to give off a slightly spicy, warm and addictive sweetness. It is a gorgeous combination and whilst my nose picks up on hints of the sambac jasmine, the main focus is on a sweet and spicy, candy type aroma. It is really a delicious scent but not too heavy or sickly.
The base of Hidden Fantasy comes into play after a short 3 hours of wear. Here, there is a delightful dry down of heavenly sweetness. I found that whilst the scent sat very close to my skin, I was able to witness an authentic vanilla scent complimented by warm and woody notes from the sandalwood and vanilla. This is a common blend of fragrance notes and not unheard of any many perfumes but it smells lovely on my skin despite being very light. I would have expected the scent to have better longevity considering that it is an EDP but I could barely detect it on my skin after 5hours of wear.
Many may avoid Hidden Fantasy EDP as they may consider it to be highly sweet like the other Fantasy scents. I would urge you to try it as it is quite different. It is lighter and less sweet than you may imagine. I find it to be more of a grown up, evening version of the original Fantasy - one which will appeal to women of all ages rather than just the teenage market. Because of how warm the scent is, it is more suited for wearing during the colder months. It would be ideal as a light, evening scent.
I do like Hidden Fantasy as it smells lovely on my skin. I don't really feel that it fits in very well within the Fantasy range as it lacks the intense sweetness of the other perfumes. It is a really nice scent though and has a nice strength on my skin for a few hours before fading quickly. It is very affordable and I don't mind topping it up whilst wearing it but I do favour the sweeter Fantasy scents as this one didn't have such an impact on me and isn't one which I would consider to be a special scent.
Thanks for reading :)
I am a huge perfume fan; my dressing table is covered in various bottles. One 'brand' of perfume which I am a huge fan of (I have every single one as I love them so much!!) is the Britney Spears one. Today, I am going to review 'Hidden Fantasy' which is from Britney's 'Fantasy' collection.
Hidden Fantasy is available in the following bottles:
30ml (£10.95, Amazon)
50ml (£15.14, Amazon)
100ml (£17.39, Amazon)
Top notes: Orange, Tangerine, Lemon Verbena and Neroli.
Middle notes: Clove, Sweet Notes, Lily and Jasmine.
Base notes: Vanilla, Woodsy Notes, Sandalwood and Amber
I absolutely love this bottle! It is definitely my favourite bottle from the Britney Spears' collection. It is a lovely deep red colour (one of my favourite colours) and is rounded with little silver gems. It is very luxurious and glamorous looking. There is also something quite 'dark' and 'daring' about it. It looks very pretty sitting on my dressing table.
The first thing I notice when I spray this perfume is oranges. It is quite a sweet and fruity scent. I really like it, and it is not too sweet that it gets sickly. This 'orangey' part reminds me of summertime and holidays abroad.
As the scent settles, I start to smell vanilla. Not too much - it's quite subtle. I can then smell the warm spicyness of the scent. It is a comforting perfume.
I would describe the perfume as being; light, clean and fresh. It is a very likeable and pleasant scent, which I never get tired of. I would say that while some aspects of the fragrance are summery, other parts are quite warm and wintery, and so I would say that this perfume is suitable for all year around.
The perfume has good staying power. I can put it on in the morning, and can still smell it when I come home at night. Whilst it does fade a little throughout the day, you can still smell it.
Whilst Britney's perfumes tend to reflect her fan base (teenagers, people in their twenties etc), I do think that this perfume is slightly more mature than her others. So I would say that this perfume is suitable for women of all ages as it's quite feminine and mature.
I think that this fragrance (as will all of Britney's other fragrances) are amazing value for money. Judging by the price, you would have thought that the perfume would be cheap and nasty, but it's actually really lovely. I cannot believe that this perfume is available at such a low price. Excellent value for money.
All in all, I would definitely recommend this perfume!
Thanks for reading!

My daughter, although no longer a fan of Britney's, has always used her fragrances the latest being 'Hidden Fantasy'. She bought this from Home Bargains last week for £10.99 (rrp £20) for 30ml. It is Eau de parfum rather than Eau de Toilette so I think this is an excellent price. It is available in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml of which is priced at £15.76 on Amazon at the time of writing.
I often steal my daughters perfume but I can't get away with it with this one, she can smell it on me- even hours later! I really like this scent and I like the bottle too, it looks nice on her shelf and can be spotted straight away amongst her other stuff, thus keeping my theft time down to a minimum.
The perfume comes in a dark red round bottle with diamante detailing on it with a matching easy to take off lid. The spray top is easy to operate with just enough squirt not to soak myself. The Perfume Shop website site tells us the fragrance itself has a mix of 'citrus blossoms, succulent florals and mysterious musks', that just about covers all scents. I can smell the orange and the musk but over-ridingly for me is the sweetness of it.
The initial scent is very strong, it does settle down though after a while. I get used to the smell pretty quickly but other people can still smell it on me after a several hours (namely my daughter). The last bottle she had lasted a few months of almost daily use because you don't need much. I do like it I think it's heavy for day time but that doesn't stop me.
All in all it's a long lasting, sweet smelling perfume that I don't find sickly. It's great for the bargain price that it can be found at.
This is one of Britney's best scents as it's simply stunning. It comes in a similar bottle to "Fantasy", apart from the fact that is is red not pink.
I would describe the scent as a sweet fruity floral. It smells very light and sweet when you first spray it, very fresh indeed. It's a great summer scent. I would suggest that it's probably best used in the summer as it's so fruity and summery. I usually wear heavier scents in the winter, this one is far from heavy, it's VERY light. As it is so light I would recommend it to younger wearers as it does smell quite young (well, youthful).
The scent has good staying power. It is quite long lasting. It hangs around for a good while as opposed to disappearing off the Earth like some celebrity scents can. The scent dies down into a fruity floral, less of the sweet. The sweetness tends to go after a few hours or so.
I would say the scent would last you a good while as a few sprays will last you all day. You can top up the scent throughout the day without it smelling too overpowering if you DO happen to over do it a little bit.
This is a lovely scent and the bottle (and packaging) is gorgeous. I bought the whopping 100ml bottle as it was on offer for £24 but you can also purchase it in 30ml and 50ml bottles. Buy some!
A woman I work with always wears Britney Spears Fantasy (the original one), and whilst I find it a nice scent I could never wear it myself as I find it far too sugary sweet and cloying. A few months ago she suddenly came in wearing something different and I got a lovely waft of beautiful fruity fragrance. When I asked her what it was she said she'd stopped smelling Fantasy so she'd started working her way through Britney's other perfumes, and she said the one she was wearing that day was Hidden Fantasy. I was surprised that it was another Britney fragrance but the relatively low price of £20 for a 30ml bottle persuaded me to go buy it. It can also be found much cheaper than this if you look around. I've seen them as cheap as £12 for a larger bottle before.
The bottle is lovely. I found the original Fantasy bottle looked really cheap and tacky because of it's bright pink colour, but the fact that this is a deeper, more sophisticated colour makes it look much better and actually more expensive. It's a beautiful deep red coloured sphere shape with a metal neck and a smaller sphere shaped lid. The bottle has little pink diamantes on it which makes it even prettier and much more interesting than if it had been left plain.
The perfume combines top notes of sweet orange, grapefruit and verbena, with mid notes of jasmine and clove, followed by vanilla bean and amber.
When I first spray it the perfume seems very light, with the sweet fruity top notes very apparent, but it very quickly settles into a much deeper scent. This is not a scent where each individual note can be easily picked out, instead mingling together to give an overall fragrance. The vanilla makes it quite a sweet scent, but in a warm, rather than sugary way.
I do find I need to use more of this than I generally do of other scents to get the level of fragrance I want, but it does smell really nice and it lasts all day without having to top it up. I was a little concerned about the sweetness because I often find sweet scents give me a headache but this doesn't.
The first day I wore this at work several of the guys I work with were following me around and saying I smelled lovely, so it's one the guys will love as well which is always a bonus!
I actually don't think this is the scent that my friend was wearing but I'm glad she told me it was as I really have grown to love this and i always get compliments when I wear it. It's well worth the money and I've now also bought Midnight Fantasy to try out as well!
When it comes to celeb perfumes they arent something I normally seek out. But occasionally Ill get a few for Christmas or birthdays which is how I got to try out a lot of Britney's fragrances - however this was one I just wasnt interested in trying. I have no idea why I just assumed from the way it was described online that it would be horrible so instead I bought myself the normal Fantasy perfume and my mom treated herself to this 'Hidden Fantasy' but we both hated the ones we had bought. Luckily though we both liked the perfume the other had bought so we ended up swapping - Ive been VERY shocked by how nice this one is. It wont be hidden in my house ever again.
Price: Around £12 - 30ml bottle.
Stockists: Boots, Superdrug, Bodycare, The Perfume Shop etc ...
Other Info: This is also available in 15, 50 & 100ml bottle sizes - for different prices. Described as a fruity-floral fragrance suitable for everyday wear to any occassion - so perfect for most women really.

The bottle follows the same shape design as all of the others in the Fantasy range - the only difference between the fragrances is the colour of the bottle. The bottom of the bottle is a big dome shape which is quite weighty which works both for and against the design. It works because it means displaying this is easy as it wont topple over - as it also has a very flat bottom, but if your carrying this around it might make your bag a little heavier than normal so you cant carry it in very small bags - although that might be just a problem I have because I own the 100ml bottle which is the biggest size. The bottom part of the bottle is studded with little silver gems which add a cute touch to the design and around the lid is a red, gemmed ring - which I believe can be removed and worn as an actual ring, although Ive never bothered using it that way it looks too nice on the bottle for me to take it off! At the top of the bottle is a smaller red dome which can be pulled off to reveal the push down nozzle - that seems to be stuck on very securely as when I have carried this around it has never come off and sprayed in my bag so the bottle design is very feminine with a slight edge and it is practical as well - if a little bit heavy!

Im pretty rubbish when it comes to noticing the individual notes in a perfume so I did do some digging around the net to find this list of ingredients:
Top Notes: Orange, Tangerine & Lemon Verbena.
Middle Notes: Clove, Sweet Notes, Jasmine & Lily.
Base Notes: Vanilla, Woods, Sandalwood & Amber.
Now when I read that it did put me off the perfume before I actually smelt it. I assumed this would smell far too citrussy for me - as all the top notes are citrus fruits and that type of scent just doesnt appeal to me at all. The notes list made me think this would be a very one dimensional perfume but it really isnt - this isnt just like applying orange juice to your skin!
Im not going to deny when you first apply this the top notes of Orange & Tangerine are the strongest but they arent too strong or overpowering for me thankfully. They smell fruity and tangy but not overly citrussy - and thats coming from someone who cannot stand citrus scents so if they were too strong believe me I would be able to pick up on them! They are more zesty and fruity than anything else and they do die down quite quickly - although the do remain in the background of the scent throughout wearing this. When this starts to die down a little the floral notes become much more noticable and the Jasmine I reckon is the strongest of those mixed with the 'sweet notes' whatever they might be but they do make the scent sweeter and the Clove starts to make the scent overall a bit heavier and more suitable for nightime - when the cloves start to warm up the scent it becomes much more of a sexy, seductive fragrance than the light, fruity one you get at first.
Nothing shocking about the bottom notes as they are fairly regular and I can really only pick out the Vanilla scent which I think adds to the sweet notes. This isnt overly sweet though - its odd because normally a perfume is either sweet & light or floral and heavy but this one manages to mix all of those things together and still manages to make me smell amazing. It is a very seductive scent in my opinion.
- - - - - - - -
The staying power for this one is brilliant in my opinion. I applied this, this morning around 10am and its still going strong now about 5 hours later and from previous applications I know it lasts around 8 hours. You wont need to keep reapplying this all the time so a bottle will last you ages.
I think this would appeal to most ages really because there are so many different levels to the perfume which bits of will appeal to different people. If I had to pick Id say 20's and upwards would like this scent most because it might be a little too heavy for teens. Try before you buy though as you might love or hate it!
Day Or Night? Summer Or Winter?
I do wear this in the day sometimes BUT I would say it is more suited to wearing at night. This is a gorgeous, seductive fragrance which means it might be a little heavy for daytime use for some people. But I would say it is suitable for wearing at any time of the year and to any occasion - the description might have been right after all!

I cannot recommend this highly enough and I am very glad I got to try it out after my poor assumption on it before I did. This might be one for everyone and I think most people will really love this one. Highly recommended.
Thanks For Reading.

This is another 1 of Britney's Perfume that I like. I like all of them, but there is obviously ones that I like more than others. This one is a sort of middle of the road for me. I currently have a bottle of this, and although i've had it for a few months and it still has a good amount left in it, then I use this every now and again for a change. It's not that it's not nice, it just that there is a lot nicer Perfumes out there in my view.
I've got a 100ml bottle and I see that this is still selling on some websites for around the £23 mark which is good for 100ml. The recommended retails price for this is around £34 and not sure I would say it is really worth all that since it isn't a proper designer scent then I think it would sell for slightly more than the mid £20's
I do like the Britney Perfume bottles. They always look that bit younger I would say but not too young or that, I would say that it's a pretty looking bottle. This is just like the Dooyoo picture and the bottle colour is a deep looking colour with the silver bits dotted over the bottle and the sparkly cuff bit on the bottle as well with the round lid on the top. All very nice.
So how does this smell? It is nice enough, but perhaps a bit too sweet for me. The blurb about this scent is that this comes from Britney's love for White Florals, Vanilla and Luscious Desserts. All sounds quite nice, but the Luscious Desserts just doesn't sound right. I would say that this smells a bit like Peony, and the White spray you get in Flowers, the Vanilla dash is quite sweet and a little Musky, and for the Dessert part i'm not too sure what the scent is for that, but it smells Creamy and a little bit rich. It's hard to think what Dessert this has in mind.
The scent lasts the usual few hours at a decent strenght, and then gets that bit weaker, but it's in keeping with similar Perfumes of the same brand and pricing.
It is a nice scent but very sweet and a bit sickly. It's just not my kind of scent, but for someone who likes sweet scents then it would be right up their street.
Nice, but just not for me.
Hidden Fantasy was released by Britney Spears last year and was the third in the Fantasy range. Seeing as I have all of the other Britney Spears perfumes from the Fantasy range as well as the Curious range, I couldn't wait to try this one. Especially as it was supposed to be more woody than girly.
Britney Spears' Hidden Fantasy comes in three sizes like most perfumes do - 30ml, 50ml and 100ml. This particular perfume from the ranges costs in the region of £13.99, £17.99 and £19.99 respectively so again you are looking at another relatively affordable perfume from Britney Spears.
This perfume comes packaged in a more autumn coloured box, giving the idea that this perfume is more meant for the autumn and winter rather than the summer. It also reinforces the idea that this one is more woodsy than the others. The box is a deep maroon/brown colour, like leaves just turning in the autumn. It is decorated with little embossed horses, horse shoes, music notes and theatre masks all in different though neutral colours to the maroon colour of the box. On the front of the box I have (as I have a 50ml bottle and the one shown is 30ml) there is the words "Hidden Fantasy" followed by the Britney Spears branding underneath in a beige colour which blends well with the box.
Inside the box you are greeted with the perfume bottle. Like the rest of the Fantasy range bottles, this one follows the exact same design. The bottle is round at the base and is the same autumnal maroon colour of the box. It makes me think leaves and cold walks in the park during the autumn and the winter. Dotted all over the bottle are tiny white gems which sparkle slightly. As you go up the bottle you will see on the neck that there is a band of raised design and pattern which is of interlocking rings (apparently to symbolise everlasting love) though this time, unlike the others there are no gems incorporated into the design. The lid of this bottle is darker than the lids of the other bottles though you can still see through it. It is a dark maroon colour and matches the rest of the bottle.
The Hidden Fantasy perfume leaves me undecided as to whether I actually like it or not. It is hard to decide. I know this sounds strange but I just don't know whether I like it or not! It has a fruity tone which meets a spicy tone and I am just unsure as to whether the two different sort of scents blend well together. It has notes of sweet orange, tangerine, grapefruit blossom, verbena, jasmine, stargazer lily, Napolitano cake, vanilla bean, jacaranda wood, sandalwood and amber. The main notes I can smell are the jacaranda wood, sandalwood, amber and tangerine. The scent is spicy yet fruity. On myself it smells somewhat musky. The tangerine is very evident. Sniffing it now, it reminds me a little of Christmas when you have a bowl of tangerines or clementines next to a bowl of nuts.
It is definately a scent for the colder seasons and more of an everyday perfume rather than a going out at night perfume. It has a good staying power - about 4-5 hours and it is strong enough that you do not need to touch it up. It isn't an overtly stong "notice me!" scent, it is more subtle than that. You only need a few squirts on the skin to make this perfume noticable.
A nice bottle but as of yet I am still undecided on the perfume itself despite having had it for a while now. I was given it for my birthday in May so I will give it more of a try during the colder months and see if it makes a difference.
* Hidden Fantasy *
The Rd perfume in the Fantasy range from Britney Spears. This is an Elizabeth Arden product like all her other perfumes. This was a birthday gift from my friend as I needed this one as I had all the other Britney Perfumes in the range.
* The bottle Design?*
The same as fantasy with the rounded bottle and the crystals around the outside. This one is a dark red colour , it comes in a very pretty box as wel. I do love the packaging that Britney does in her perfumes!!
* Smells like? *
I think this is my favourite perfume from the whole Britney Spears range.
This is a sweet smelling citrus and flowery smelling perfume. It has notes of blossoms , orange , jasmine flower and some Amber notes.
I was given a 30ml bottle as a gift but prices can vary between £15 - £17 for this perfume.
Yes it's a very nice smelling perfume and if you like the other fantasy perfumes then you will love this one.
Ciao and dooyoo.
HIDDEN FANTASY opens with citrusy fruits, its more tangy then sweet on me. Things start to get interesting as the middle notes develop on my skin. The floral notes seem to be spiced to me; the clove grabs my attention. I'm not sure what Napolitano cake is, but I couldn't detect any typical buttery & sugary cake accords in HIDDEN FANTASY. The vanilla and amber base notes combine wonderfully with the woods, lending comforting warmth to the middle notes, minus the sugar rush I was expecting.
While HIDDEN FANTASY is suitable to wear all year round, I'll wear it mainly during atumn/winter. It has a warming effect on me. Plus; I find the clove and orange festive.
The lasting power is very good.
The Fantasy bottle is cute; this time it's red (where the earlier describtions of the scent being cherry/vanilla originated from) & the price is reasonable.
This is the first entry in the Fantasy line that I think could be classed as an 'adult' scent. Sadly; I think this will be the least popular out of the Fantasy line as it isn't as sweet as it's predecessors, so is therefore more appealing to the 'older' (21+) customer.
For what it's worth; I think this is the best Fantasy fragrance EA have released.
