Midnight Fantasy was released in 2006. It was designed and created by Britney Spears herself. The bottle is very similar to the normal Fantasy perfume, however the colour of this bottle is midnight blue. You can purchase this fragrance in three different sizes. The sizes are 30ml, 50ml and 100ml. The larger 100ml bottle tends to work out as better value. You can purchase the scent as an individual bottle or as part of a gift set. Mine came boxed with a necklace inside and I bought it from House of Fraser for £14.99.
The perfume is a fruity floral with top notes of deep fruits of exotic framboise, black cherry and plum. These notes give the perfume a strong floral scent initially which smells very fresh and quite sweet when you first spray it. The sweetness of the scent continues well into the middle notes which consist of night orchid, freesia and iris. The scent settles well on the skin and the overall sweetness of the scent has longevity. Obviously the scent fades as the day goes on but I don't feel the need to constantly top the perfume up. It lasts pretty well on me. Finally the base notes are amber, musk and vanilla. The base notes of the scent are quite musky and warming, which finish off the scent nicely.
I think Midnight Fantasy is more of a sophisticated scent compared to the normal Fantasy which is quite sweet and youthful. This one is more warming and in my opinion it's more of an evening scent. It still smells quite sweet but the floral and musky notes give the scent more of an edge. I do like it though and I will definitely purchase it again once my bottle has finished.
Midnight Fantasy is a lovely fruity floral fragrance and is another great addition to the Britney Spears fragrance collection. Although it was one of her earlier fragrances it is still available to buy from retailers such as Boots, Superdrug and Amazon.co.uk.
One of my favourite celebrity fragrances.
The Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy Eau de Parfum is available from GBP 19.99. The Eau de Parfum comes as 30 ml, 50 ml and 100 ml sprays.
The Eau de Parfum was launched in 2007 and created by Caroline Sabas. The Eau de Parfum is the fourth fragrance by Britney Spears.
The Eau de Parfum comes in a dark blue bottle with a round cap. The dark blue bottle is studded with Swarovski crystals and encased with interlocking rings at the neck.
The Eau de Parfum is described as follows. "A sexy and mischievous fragrance with the tagline 'Magic begins at Midnight'. A limited edition fragrance under the Fantasy umbrella. It is a sexy and mischievous fragrance with the strapline Magic begins at Midnight. A delicious combination of florals and musks including freesia and amber."
The Eau de Parfum has a floral and fruity scent. A fruity scent that reminds of plums and cherries can be noticed. A soft orchid scent can be noticed after that. Followed by an intensive vanilla and musk scent. The main accords are fruit and sweet. The Eau de Parfum is intensive and long-lasting.
The top note consists of framboise, black cherry and plum. Followed by the heart notes of night orchid, freesia and iris. The base notes are amber, musk and vanilla.
The Eau de Parfum is long-lasting and holds up to 4 hours.
I can recommend the Britney Spears Fantasy Eau de Parfum, as the scent is long-lasting. The intensive main accords are sweet and fruity.
After using up my first Britney Spears perfume Curious I wanted to tryout more of her perfumes so, in November I asked my parents for Midnight as a christmas present. As I keep all my previous used up perfume bottles up in my room I can still smell a faint sharp but deep sweet when I spray the bottle. I used this different to the curious perfume which I used in the day time I used the midnight at night when I was going out to party's and other occasions like christenings and birthdays. This took me around six months to use up still have a tiny bit left in the bottle and will be buying this again Midnight is still a girly perfume although it is not a sweet and looks completely different to my previous one. I knew from this perfume that now that I would be starting a collection on Britney Spears perfumes.
To start off with I'm not really into the celebrity perfume thing but when I tried Britney Spears first perfume that she released I loved it and have continued to buy hers. Midnight Fantasy is probably my favourite out of them all, it comes in a small royal blue circular bottle with Diamantes attached. Because of the size it easily fits into your handbag and is great for taking on nights out as it's not too bulky. The smell of the perfume itself is gorgeous, very sweet almost like sweeties and it lasts for such a long time. My pet hate is finding a perfume that you love and it lasts for about an hour! Midnight Fantasy is not like this and when I apply it in the morning it lasts me right through till about tea time. Every time I wear it I receive compliments and everyone asks what I'm wearing and where got it. It's a bargain at around £20! It's not too over priced and brilliant value for money.
Personally I'm not one to pay a fortune for a perfume unless I get one for Christmas but this perfume was at such a good price. My friend bought it before when we were out shopping and I loved it from then. I was browsing Debenhams and seen this perfume for only £20 in the sales. The product is well packaged and comes in a tidy bottle with scattered gems attached on the bottle. The smell is great and I now use this everyday even though I have 10 other perfumes to choose from but I just love it. The smell is fresh and quite attractive. I only use 2 squirts per day and think the smell lasts all day and I've had compliments on it too. This perfume is going to last a long time as I bought the biggest bottle you can get and when it runs out I will defiantly be buying another. If you want an everyday perfume I would recommend this one.
Generally I don't go for celebrity perfumes and certainly wouldn't have picked this up and bought it for myself as celebrity fragrances tend to be have awful cheap smells and they are just a way of promoting their celebrity status. However this was bought for me as a Christmas present from my dad a few year ago. I have continued to use it to this day and can guarantee somebody in the family will buy me it for my birthday or Christmas. I also had the britney spears fantasy perfume bought for me aswell (the pink bottle one) and I love them both but mid-night fantasy is my favourite.
As it was a present I wasn't aware of the price but over the years I have seen it in many shops all at different prices. The cheapest I can find if you have one of these shops - 'Bodycare' where they sell mid-night fantasy 30ml bottle for £12 which is a bargain! It comes in a large cube box which is decorated really pretty and is same dark blue as the bottle itself. The bottle is lovely and looks very feminine so I always keep mine on show on my bed-side table just because I like the look of the bottle.
The perfume has a fruity but sweet smell. It's not overpowering but is just really pleasant. I would recommend going into boots and trying the tester as its hard to describe a perfume when you can't really compare it to anything.
Although the Perfume Shop's website does claim that the perfume has heart notes of night orchid, freesia and iris. Top notes of framboise, black cherry and plum and base notes of amber, vanilla and musk. The perfumes scent is described as 'fruity and floral'. The smell does stay on yourself and doesn't fade quickly like some perfumes. Although after a while you can't smell it yourself, the perfume is still there as many a time I have been complimented and asked what perfume I am wearing at work or out and about. I have sprayed on my coat/jacket before and can still smell it days after so it is definitely a perfume worth having.
For the price it is definitely worth the price ... and for any dads, boyfriends, husbands out there this is a perfect little gift for any wife, girlfriend or daughter. (just surprise her its only £12!!)
~* Why I Bought It *~
Midnight Fantasy is a perfume that I have been buying for several years now and it is one of my favourites in the Fantasy by Britney Spears range of fragrances. I bought my current bottle of it around six months ago as it was on offer at the time.
~* Price *~
I have the 100ml bottle of this perfume, which retails at around £37, however it can be easily found for a lot less online and I got my bottle of it for around £20. A 30ml bottle is also available and this retails at around £22. Again though, it can be found at a discounted price on many websites and places like boots and super drug often have it on sale as it isn't a very recent perfume - it was released in early 2007.
~* Bottle *~
The bottle is identical to all of the other perfume bottles in the Fantasy range apart from the colour. This one is a deep, pretty shade of purple and it has shiny, silver diamantés all over it. The spray nozzle of the bottle has got a band around the bottom of it which is also purple and it has raised detailing on it. The bottle is quite pretty and this one is my favourite colour.
~* Fragrance Notes *~
Black cherry, plum and fambroise make the top notes up. The middle notes are freesia, iris and night blooming orchard. The bottom notes consist of amber, musk and of course vanilla, which isonw of the most prominent fragrances in all of the perfumes in the Fantasy range, at least in my opinion it is anyway!
~* My Opinion *~
I have been buying this perfume ever sine it came out as I really like it and it is one of my favourite Britney Spears perfumes. It is a very affordable perfume nowadays with it not being very recent, and I think it is really good value as a bottle lasts me for around a year.
This fragrance is described as being a sensual, sweet, fruity, feminine, flowery fragrance and for the most part I agree. In my opinion it is a sweet, floral fragrance which is extremely girly, young, fun, fresh and a little flirty. I don't think it is particularly sensual, and it is never my perfume of choice if I am going out for a romantic meal as it is too young and playful.
This is the sort of perfume that I will wear dueing the day if i am going out casually but still want to smell nice, as it has more of a body spray smell to it than a perfume smell because of the very strong sweetness. The overpowering sweetness is what hits me first and then I am able to smell the fruitiness from the black cherry & plum. The fragrance gradually becomes heavier with the floral notes coming through and there's a slight musky hint which isn't quite strong enough as it is overpowered by the vanilla and fruity, sweet fragrances.
It is a heavier scent than the more fresh and summery scent of the original Fantasy perfume (the one which comes in a pink bottle) which you'd think would make it smell a little more mature but it actually doesn't, it is still ver young smelling and even at 19 I feel like it would be best suited to someone younger than me, say young to mid teens and I can't imagine that my mum or me of my older cousins would ever wear it. The lasting power is very good and a few sprays in my wrists is enough to last for around six hours, and it lingers on my clothes for upto a few days.
~* All in All *~
I love the smell of this but I think a lot of people would find it a bit sickly and a perhaps little too young. It also doesnt smell particularly original or distinctive compared to the other perfumes in the Fantasy range so if you are looking for an original, special perfume then this probably will not appeal to you. I am going to give it five out of five stars as is affordable, smells great and lasts for ages.
I recently received a sample of Midnight Fantasy from Britney Spears' Perfume collection which I was interested to try having received a bottle of the Fantasy perfume from the same line for Christmas.
I like to try new perfumes without knowing what's in them to get a real first impression on them without having any preconceived ideas about the fragrance. When I first sprayed the Midnight Fantasy perfume I thought it smelt like blueberry muffins, really sweet and almost foody but perfectly nice as a wearable fragrance.
What's in it?
In the top notes there are exotic Framboise, black cherry, and plum. The heart features an harmonious dialogue of night orchid, freesia and iris. Amber, musk and vanilla create a dark and warm trail. (So no blueberry then!! I must be mixing up the cherry, plum and framboise).
Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy is a sexy and mischievous fragrance with the strap-line: Magic begins at Midnight. Midnight Fantasy takes you on a magical journey from day to night An intoxicating elixir of luscious fruits invites you into a mysterious realm of temptation and intrigue. A seductive floral bouquet mingles with sensuous musks and dark amber to create an unforgettable midnight fantasy. 'What happens to you when the clock strikes twelve?'
Facts and figures
The fragrance is Limited edition and is the fourth fragrance to be launched by Britney Spears, launched in 2006. The strap line for this fragrance is "The magic begins at midnight"... I'm usually tucked up in bed by this time so it is definitely at a younger audience who may be out enjoying themselves at this time!
Whilst this is aimed at a younger audience, I enjoyed wearing it and as a new perfume got regular noticible wafts through the day. I was impressed at its staying power and it really cheered me up. I think sometimes changing the fragrance you wear can make a difference (as long as it's a nice one!). I had a few compliments from family who noticed the fragrance and liked it too.
A 100ml bottle costs £24.53 on Amazon which I think is a reasonable price for a decent fragrance.
The only thing that really puts me off buying this is the fact that it is is a 'celebrity perfume' and the shame of having to admit when someone asks what you're wearing that it is in fact Britney's perfume is enough to stop me from buying a bottle! Perhaps that is a bit silly but I can't help that feeling. I would definitely buy this as a present for teens to early 20s as it is a nice fresh and fruity youthful fragrance.
I've reviewed a few Britney Spears perfumes previously and have always said the same thing, I end up buying theme perfumes because they are inexpensive and therefore make great everyday scents.
This one in particular is called Midnight and comes in a deep blue coloured glass bottle. The bottle almost looks like a crystal ball the way it is shaped because it is completely spherical which a smaller circular flat base. The neck of the bottle an embellished metallic blue plastic, a slightly lighter shade then the bottle. On top of this there is a spherical blue plastic ball which forms the lid. The bottle is also dotted with small blue crystals. The overall effect is a little tacky quite frankly. I don't display my perfume anyway but if I did this certainly wouldn't make the cut as the colour, shape and embellishments come across as very teeny and just a little naff really.
All that said, if the perfume is nice I pay very little attention to the bottle anyway and that's why I've ended up with so many of these Britney scents because they make great day perfumes.
The top notes in this scent are plum and sour cherry which gives a very fruity scent which is quite deep and has a sharp edge to it. Though I do like fruity scents I prefer them a little fresher, these two fruits together creates a much deeper almost winey flavour which isn't exactly to my tastes. It does, however, suit the idea of this being a darker midnight perfume so I can see why they've chosen this combination.
The heart notes are iris, orchid and freesia which is an amazing combination of three beautiful floral notes. I love floral fragrances and the more powdery and strong the better so I do really like this layer in the perfume. I think these florals are an interesting choice though because to me they scream summer day rather than midnight. I think something like the sensual heady smell of jasmine might have been a better fit but I still like this combination of florals.
The base notes are a beautiful medley of amber, musk and vanilla which combine to produce a very natural, earthy and slightly sweet scent. I love perfumes that have musky undertones because they gives a real depth to the perfume and a sensuality which is great. This darker edge definitely suits the midnight branding and the hint of vanilla is a nice touch because it sweetens and lightens this.
This perfume will set you back anywhere between £10-£25 depending on the size you go for and where you shop. I got mine for £7 in a discount store on sale which I thought was a fab deal and instantly snapped it up. I don't love this perfume as much as I do some of the other Britney fragrances and I think that's partly due to the heavy fruit scents in the top notes.
Overall, this is a nice perfume but feels a little disjointed.
BRITNEY SPEARS MIDNIGHT FANTASY EAU DE PARFUM
This bottle of midnight fantasy parfum is avalible in 3 size bottles, these are 30ml, 50ml and 100ml,
The bottle comes in strong cardboard packaging which is blue/purple in colour and on the front of the box it states the make, name and size of the bottle.
The bottle itself is really nice looking and is a dark blue in colour with silver diamantes around it, with the neck being silver and a round lid.
The purfume ranges in price, this depends on where you purchase it from and the size of the bottle, it is widely avalible in stores such as boots and superdrug and online, Prices I have found begin at £10, upto around £25.00.
The purfume itself has a lovely fruity scent to it, you can detect hints of vanilla and musk.
I didn't buy this purfum myself, it was a gift earlier in the year from an ex-partner, If im honest when I was given it my heart sank a little as it isn't something I would of gone out and purchased for myself, as im not a fan of britney spears at all.
But I have to say on opening the box I was really impressed with the design on the bottle and how pretty it looked, As it was a gift I had to give it a try and was surprised by how much I actually liked it, I have found that the scent lasts for hours and doesn't disappear after an hour like others I have used, This stays on all night.
The bottle lasted me a good few months, this was wearing at night when going out, or after a shower in the evenings when me and my ex were having a cosy night together.
I would defiantly recommend this to other women and to men who are looking for something long lasting for their partner
I always have 3 different perfumes open. One for during the day at work, one for evenings out and one for regular evenings/weekends. I was after some perfume for starting a new job, so I headed off to The Fragrance Shop over at my nearest shopping centre. I told the assistant that I was after something new, which would last for a reasonable portion of the day and smelt fruity. I'm rather partial to the perfumes which smell summery and fruity.
I've never been one for "celebrity" perfumes and I've never knowingly brought one! I've always tended to favour Escada rather than something branded with someone's name. The assistant at The Fragrance Shop brought me over some tester sticks which she had sprayed. I was particularly keen for the one I picked to last for a decent amount of time, as I was looking for something for work.
This perfume has a gorgeous, fruity smell to it; but it's not a light summery fruity smell, it's much deeper and darker, with a hint of musk. It stays on for a long time, as during the afternoon I can often catch a hint of it still. It comes in a really pretty round bottle, which is coloured blue with silver coloured dots all over it. It has a round lid over the spray top, with a silver patterned ring around the neck of the bottle.
It wasn't until it I had chosen the perfume when I looked at the box while I was paying for it that I even realised it was a Britney Spears perfume, where to be honest, I was very surprised. It's not something I would have put a celebrity name on as it smells so deep and gorgeous. That's me stereotyping of course! The equivalent of judging a book by it's cover I suppose!
I brought the 100ml bottle, which was the large one. It cost me £23 from the perfume shop. I thought it was really good value for a bottle which will last for a really long time. I would really recommend this to all, and not just for evenings as you would possibly expect from the presentation of it.
When it comes to 'celebrity' perfumes I don't tend to have much of an interest. Perhaps a little bit snobby of me but I find it rather embarrassing to reveal the name of some celebrity I really have no interest in when asked what perfume I am wearing. I do, however, make an exception for this particular perfume by Britney Spears who teamed up with Elizabeth Arden to create a lengthy list of perfumes which surprisingly are all pretty decent. Midnight Fantasy is by far my favourite though.
I have a habit of smelling tester perfumes going off the bottle it comes in. The more I like the bottle the more likely I am to smell it. The bottle this perfume comes in is a very dark shade of violet which is why I originally picked it up. I absolutely love this colour. The bottle itself is a round ball with silver diamantes embedded into the sides. There's a metallic lilac collar across the top with a matching circular violet lid. It's the usual spray nozzle underneath this lid which you just press down to release the scent. In all honesty the bottle does look a little cheap but I just love the colour and, after all, what's inside is far more important.
This perfume is very sweet smelling and it's also quite heavy which makes it perfect for a night out perfume and, given the name, I assume this is what the perfume was made for. Having said that I do love this scent so much it's not uncommon to find me wearing this through the day either.
According to The Perfume Shop's website, this perfume has heart notes of night orchid, freesia and iris. Top notes of framboise, black cherry and plum and base notes of amber, vanilla and musk. The scent is described as 'fruity and floral'.
I would agree this is a fruity scent although I personally don't find anything floral about it whatsoever. When first applied to the skin it's easy to detect the black cherry and plum scents, the sweet and fruity smell is very pleasant indeed. Although it's when this perfume has been on the skin for a couple of hours I believe it really starts to shine. After a while the vanilla and amber scents overtake all others leaving you with a sweet and musky scent which can only be described as 'sexy' really! On nights out I like to top this up every now and again with a couple of sprays of The Body Shop's Vanilla Body Spray which really compliments the 'settled' scent of this perfume.
The staying power of this perfume is amazing too. You can easily get four and five hours of detectable scent out of a few sprays of this. It's very rare I feel the need to top this up. On clothes this stuff lasts for even longer. I can still smell this perfume on my coat a good week after the initial spraying and it smells beautiful. Clothing items like scarves and coats which don't get washed that regularly end up smelling like this perfume constantly regardless of how long it's been since I last sprayed the item with the perfume.
The price for a bottle of perfume which has the best staying power I've ever encountered and smells divine? Very cheap actually! The perfume can be bought just about everywhere that sells perfume; it's extremely easy to get hold of. A 100ml bottle costs a very nice £20, or there about, from all of these places. It can occasionally be found on ebay for less, I once got a 100ml bottle for £14 from there! The 50ml and 30ml bottles tend to vary a lot more from shop to shop, the majority of 50ml bottles tend to still cost around £15-£20 and the 30ml bottles around £12-15. Needless to say I always go for 100ml bottles as they offer a much better saving.
In short this is a lovely sweet and fruity perfume with excellent staying power for a very good price. I absolutely love it and thoroughly recommend it.
Midnight fantasy is the sequel to Britneys Fantasy. With notes like notes include black cherries, framboise, plum, orchid, freesia, iris, musk, amber and vanilla, a dark blue bottle and the name I only presume it is supposed to be a sexy and provocative scent. Just like fantasy it has sweet fruity notes but this time they come in the start. These transform into a berry trifle sort of smell with a hint of florals in there and the base is very clean and fresh. But there was no sexiness to it. I waited and waited and was left in the cold. The perfume is particularly bland as soon as the fruity notes fade and the staying power isn't all together there unfortunately. The bottle is the same as Fantasy- spherical bottle with a spherical top and covered in tacky rhinestones. It is really not my thing. The bottle is available in 50 ml and 100 ml.
After buying the first Britney fragrance, Curious, I was pleased with the unusual scent and the compliments I received wearing it. I decided to try this perfume after buying it at a very cheap price for a large amount (£25 for 100ml). I was stunned by how GOOD this perfume smells. It is sweet, fruity, and all around amazing. I receive so many compliments when I'm wearing it and people ask me what I am wearing, more so than I have experienced with any other perfume. I highly recommend this perfume if you like strong, sweet fruity scents. I do not recommend it if you are into light, floral or spicy scents as it is SO sweet. It can be worn day or night although as it is so strong I would say it is probably more of a night perfume. A little goes a long way and I will be wearing this perfume until I am old and grey.
A while back I wrote a review on Britney Spears Hidden Fantasy which I had bought after asking a work colleague what perfume she was wearing and being told that was it. Unfortunately it turned out not to be the one that I'd smelt on her but she was certain it was a Britney Spears one so I decided to work my way through the other Britney perfumes to find it, they're pretty cheap at less than £20 each so it wasn't too much bother. Midnight Fantasy was the next one I tried and it turned out to be the one.
The bottle is the same as the other Fantasy perfumes, a round bottle decorated with diamantes, with a round plastic lid and entwined rings around the neck. This time it's a lovely deep midnight blue colour which looks so much nicer and more expensive than the original Fantasy which just looked cheap and tacky. It could never be called sophisticated but I actually like this bottle and am happy to display it along with my other perfumes.
The perfume combines top notes of black cherries and plum, middle notes of orchid, freesia, velvet and iris, and base notes of musk, amber and vanilla.
I'll be honest, when I first smelt this on my colleague it reminded me of a body spray I used to buy from Woolworths when I was a kid, but the strange thing is that it was a kiwi body spray. I was surprised when I read the there was no kiwi in there but I thought maybe it was just me mistaking the scent but then the first time I wore it my brother started sniffing me and asking what perfume I was wearing, "you smell just like that kiwi body spray you used to buy". So it's not just me!
As with Britneys other scents I find this is very one dimensional and I can only smell the fruity top notes. I don't find the other notes come through at all which is disappointing, but the fruity scent of the top notes last really well. I find it a fresh, fruity scent which is not overpowering and personally I like how strong and long-lasting the scent is even though I only use 2 sprays of it, but male friends have commented that it's a bit strong so I would definitely say be careful of how much you use.
Overall I do like this scent even though it doesn't smell anything like it should when reading through the notes. It's light enough for everyday wear and great for summer, and I think it's great value for money as it's much longer lasting than q lot of more expensive perfumes.
