Singer, controversial role model and now perfume designer, Britney Spears is a woman of many talents. She has released a number of different perfumes and I have to admit some of them are actually very good. She has released such titles as Fantasy, Curious and Believe, uplifting names for perfumes that I believe capture her spirit and what she is all about. They are also very big sellers and I think her Curious perfume is a best seller every year. The regular Fantasy was released in 2005 and was produced by Giorgio Armani. Midnight Fantasy says it takes you on a magical journey from day to night. The regular Fantasy in my opinion is kind of the day version of the perfume but the midnight version I think is a bit more grown up and a night time perfume.

It is marketed as, "an intoxicating elixir of luscious fruits that invites you into a mysterious realm of temptation and intrigue. I think this definitely sums up the Britney Spears of recent years, a girl who has grown up and is now pushing the boundaries into being more of a woman than a girl and who has a bit of mystery and intrigue about her. In fact, even the makers call it a sophisticated twist on the original Britney Spears Fantasy fragrance.

I have the regular Fantasy perfume and like that so when I saw this one I thought I would give it a go. What actually first attracted me to this was the beautiful bottle. The name suits it perfectly as this bottle to me looks just like a midnight fantasy. It is a beautiful dark blue colour with a see through bottle that conjours up all kinds of dark dream like nighttime images. The bottle is round and has little diamond sparkles on it too which look just like stars in the night sky to me. The stopper is round and underneath it there is a band of sparkles too. This bottle to me is definitely sophisticated and has a lovely image about it and one that I really like on my dresser table.

This perfume definitely has a fruity whiff to it but it's not too sweet and girly, it's more a rich fruity deep smell that has a musk about it. I think it wears very well on my neck and does last quite a long time through the day. It's quite a unique smell and unlike any other perfume I have tried (and I've tried a lot) so it's nice that it is something different. According to the literature about this perfume, it, "opens with the forbidden richness of Black Cherries fused with Framboise and Exotic Plum. In the middle notes, the seductive Night Blooming Orchid and mischevious Freesia flirts with enticing Velvet Iris. Finally, in the base unforgettable, magnetic, sensuous musk, amber and vanilla leave a warm and sexy trail of intrigue."

You can buy this perfume at various outlets. It is quite reasonable too which I like. A 30ml bottle costs £20 but at the moment it is on sale in Boots for £11. A beautiful nighttime smell!
