Background

If you buy anything more than once then I feel you obviously like the brand and the company are clearly doing something right as you are coming back to them, and this is definitely the case with me and this product. The bottle is pretty basic, being made from thick glass it's midnight blue glass bottle is a simple round shape with some gems on it. Basic as it comes but this reflects in the cost of the perfume, as it means your only paying for scent and not un neccessary packaging. I will come into more detail later about the various prices for the different size bottles; however something I will say is the 30ml is a really handy handbag size. Ideally I de-cant my perfume into a travelo (or similar device) but more often than not I end up grabbing whatever perfume is closest to me, and when I do end up throwing this into my bag it's always a handy size, not too heavy and takes up hardley no room at all.


The Brand & Value

Yes this is branded by Britney Spears and I was dubious at first, however this didn't bother me at all once I smelt the product. I firstly tried the fantasy and loved that (which I have done a review on) I then accidently tried this product. From what I remember I was curious as the bottle is practically identical apart from this one being a deep blue colour (to reflect the name of course) and I loved it. Same as the other one it is great value for money, in the past I have got a 100ml bottle for £15 - £20 (if you shop around) but even the 30ml bottles from a high street store such as Boots/Superdrug retails for approx £12.49. Since writing that statement I checked some websites for your and it appears I must have got mine during a real bargain hunt faze as I unfortunatly can't find them at the same price; but please fine below a current price guide to date 11/10/12:

* The fragrance shop - £15.99 = 30ml

Scent & Lasting Power

The smell is extremely sweet and noticeable; I wear this a lot along with the normal fantasy and would say it is my signature scent; I get recognised for this all the time in work and even colleagues notice the smell (Some-one even knew I was in work, before seeing me, as they could smell the fragrance in the staffroom after I had just been in there). The perfume is a EDP which means it is longer lasting as it's an 'parfum' scent opposed to a 'toilette', and it really does make the difference. The scent with this one is a little darker and more intriguing than the original; personally I also feel that most perfumes in a dark bottle are usually stronger and deeper made for the evening and the lighter bottles tend to be more aimed at day time as are lighter. I would definitely suggest this midnight version is more the evening scent, however as I have just said I wear this for work use as well as evening (whatever is closest or in my handbag is normally how I determine what I wear)


Is it right for me?

If you like strong, long lasting very sweet scents, then yes' this is right up your street. At the end of the day a fragrance is a fragrance and it's how it sits well on you and if you like it, as you are wearing it for you. As said its brand is Britney Spears yet this shouldn't put you off; sometimes a stigma comes attached to celebrity perfumes, but at the end of the day I wear this as I like the scent. It's yummy smelling, girly and very sweet. Personally I feel that on initially knowing who the brand of the perfume is made by most people in their late 20's and onwards may completely divert from this and not even try it. I think it's initial target audience would be teens to early 20's. I think this would be the young girls buying it themselves and also people buying it for young girls in the family as gifts due to it's girly appearance and reasonable price.
To clarify I have finished 2 100ml bottle of this stuff, and have had at least 2 of the 30ml version also. I am very much so a fan of this product and it is very affordable which makes it even better!!
