I first came across 'Burberry Touch for men' fragrance about four years ago, when my wife (well - girlfriend at the time) very kindly got me a 30 ml Eau De Toilette bottle of it for Christmas. I have since purchased both the 30 ml EDT and 100 ml EDT bottles of Burberry Touch several times, and received them as presents from my family, and I really love the fragrance.
I very am grateful that I did receive this fragrance as a gift, because I very much doubt that I would have ever bought it for myself, simply due to my blinkered and somewhat narrow-minded vision of the Burberry brand which I had previously always considered to be designed purely for 'Chavs'.
The bottle of Burberry Touch comes in a nice grey box, with the famous Burberry checkered pattern, covering the box in a modest grey and black colour. Inside the box is the bottle, but the bottle is contained within a lovely grey cloth sack with a cord at the top of it, which is a nice 'touch', and also great to put to use for other things once the bottle is empty.
The bottle itself comes in the form of a thick conical shaped, clear glass bottle, which gets thicker in diameter as the bottle rises from the base towards the lid. The lid is like a kind of dark wood effect to look at, but is actually composed from plastic, and it is shaped like a replica of the bottle. Once the lid is pulled off the bottle, there is a nice silver spray mechanism which is used to release the scent.
~~~ The Scent ~~~
As I mentioned above, I really do like this scent, and fell in love with it from the instant I smelt it for the first time.
Burberry Touch has notes of violets and tart mandarin which are subtly blended with invigorating waves of white pepper. This is then softened by the smoothness of Virginia wood and oak moss. This combination gives a very light and sweet smell, but with a very slight hint of wood lurking the background, which gives a fresh scent that lasts a very, very long time. It is one of those scents that can easily be smelt on your clothes the next day, and I personally think it is very suitable for all kinds of occasions, during any season of the year. I would tend to suggest that it is aimed at the younger to middle aged male.
Due to the long lasting scent, it does only requires a couple of fine squirts of the fragrance to last all day, and so the bottle (especially the 100 ml bottle) does end up lasting quite a while, offering good value for money.
Burberry touch is available in most fragrance stores and comes in both 30 ml and 100 ml EDT bottles, with the 100 ml bottle offering the better value as you would expect. It is worth shopping around for a good deal on all fragrances, and Burberry Touch is no different as I have experienced. The most I have paid for a bottle is around £20 for the 30 ml EDT although this was a few years ago, but more recently I picked up the 100 ml bottle (more than 3 times the amount) for just £30.
~~~ In summary ~~~
Burberry Touch is a fantastic scent, which certainly is not just for the 'Chavs'. The price is very reasonable if you shop around, and the scent has some real good staying power, providing a fresh, and light, long lasting fragrance which is versatile in that it is suitable for almost any occasion.
Thanks for reading.

If you're like me, you keep a handful of fragrances depending on time of day and activities. You have a "freshener" for running errands/socialising after the gym (clean, confident, and bright), one to add some "polish" to your presentation for during your work or uni day (subtle but influential, relaxed, enduring, refined), and one for a posh night on the town (affluent, assertive, enticing). This is very much the latter.
Initially, you are hit with a scent that is immediately musky and something I can best describe as a mild yet extremely rich spice. It's overpowering. Within a minute, the odoriferous cacophony organizes itself into musk, cedar and spices. It will hold for the night. Overall, the scent comes off as assertive and sensuous, while also presenting a tasteful "innuendo" to attract others.
I had bought this stateside for $25 (£16), so I thought that it was quite a good value for the 50ml bottle. The packaging and bottle are tasteful, blowing away any cheap chemist fragrance.
This is quite a strong fragrance, so I use it sparingly and only if I am in the mood (or somewhere conducive) for a woman's attention.
- - The Bottle - -
The bottle is a pretty little thing, the base is made from glass and is thinner at the bottom and gradually gets thicker towards the top.
There is very little writing on the bottle; it simply has Burberry touch for men written on it. There is nothing else on the bottle.
The lid is about the same size as the spray, but unlike the bottle, the lid goes from thin to thick. It is very heavy and is a dark chocolate brown colour.
All the details about the product are on the box, this is a grey colour with a cheque style print on the box. It is sealed with a nice little tie. The box is really large for the size of the 30ml glass bottle inside so it is very deceiving.
- - The Smell - -
I absolutely love the smell of this on my partner, it is a very strong fragrance so you don't need to apply much otherwise it can get a little overpowering!
The only way I can describe the smell is a very musky fragrance and it reminds me of something a dark and handsome man would wear (** slaps myself in the face and comes back to reality **)
- - Durability - -
This smell lasts a long time, with it being so strong it tends to stay on my partners clothes for a long time, without the need to reply, I can still smell it after a good night out.

I think this product is excellent value for money, when the product first came out I paid £30 for a 30ml bottle which is quite extortionate for the amount you get.
However as time has gone and the products has aged its now down to a very reasonable £13 which in my opinion is fantastic!
- - Overall Impression - -
I don't think this fragrance is for everyone, it is very strong so if you spray too much it smells far too strong and you're likely to give yourself a headache.
It is very long lasting, and with the right amount of spray it makes your smell lovely!
The price is excellent I hated paying £30 a bottle so now you can pick it up for £13, half the original price, amazing!
As you don't need much, a small 30ml bottle will last you ages.
I'm not much of a burberry fragrance person for some reason as i normally tend to go for the usual hugo boss or armani fragrances but this has changed my views and smell.
I remember receiving this for my 23rd birthday (yes i still get presents) from a friend and the instand reaction was 'so you think i smell?' but all in all he shouldnt have but i am grateful he did because this is a very good smelling fragrance. I have it on right now as i write this review.
The fragrance has a very soft, warming smell, abit overpowering at first but as it setlles it gives off a nice smell. My girlfriend seems to like it. The fragrance also lasts for quite a while which is really good as you will be smelling nice throughout the day. I have noticed also that the smell also changes as the day goes by. This may be because its starting to wear off but its very plesant. I dont see or even smell people wearing this which is a shame because to me this is an all year round smell which is good as some smells tend to only work at certain seasons or occassions. This one is an all rounder.
The sizes of this bottle vary from as i have just seen in this website a 5ml (Yes only 5ml bottle) for £3.49 all the way up to the usual 100ml bottles. I found one for £22.50 at the fragrance shop and for that price i think everyone should have one. The 50ml bottles also come with a nice little pouch inside the box which is also a nice touch.
A couple of years ago I held a job where I was around a lot of professional footballers on a daily basis. The vast majority of them wore Burberry Touch and as a result I bought myself a bottle.
I think for this reason I always think of it as a sporty, summer fragrance. I have heard it described variously as having tones of 'spice, cedar, vetiver and musk' but I don't know what half of those things are.
Burberry Touch is a fragrance which has something of a chameleon-like quality. It is not unusual to apply the scent first thing in the morning and sense it change its smell throughout the course of the day, until - in the evening - it bears little resemblance to what it was like initially.
I still wear Burberry Touch sometimes, because it is a very nice fragrance and obviously it sparks off nostalgia. Although it is not as fashionable as newer after shaves and EDTs it is still a class act, and a worthy addition to any man's bathroom cabinet.
Touch for Men displays an initial freshness of hard-to-define notes. Tender violets and tart mandarin blend subtly with invigorating waves of white pepper, softened by the smoothness of Virginia wood and oak moss.
