Burberry London is my fourth fragrance that I have. After thinking for a long time I finally decided to buy it. And guess what? I was so not disappointed with my choice, really! For me, this fragrance is quite fun and it felt so mature. The spicy woody scent was not stung as the initial notes of Giorgio Armani Attitude. The initial fragrance notes when I first smelled it was dominated by cinnamon and pepper. Seemingly similar with the clove notes. While the freshness of bergamot and lavender are so fleeting, while drydown began to sink in, smell of the fruity and sweet heart notes (port wine and leather) began to rise to the surface . Creating a surprisingly sweet atmosphere but also luxurious. Middle notes, especially who left a lasting impression on this Burberry London, making the woody - oriental scent is pretty fun for an established mature male or mature female who smell it. Oriental smell in this Burberry London is not bitter, but the sweet sensation in layman who smelled it as cloves or cinnamon. So that when we combined this fragrance with the scent of clove cigarette or a glass of cappuccino in our favorite cafe, it feels really suitable. And the last one, base notes are more of a counterweight to harmonize and unify the gourmand scent, so the combination of notes blend with the scent of our body. Where the Oak Moss and Gaiac Wood combined with sweet vanilla waves from the Opoponax. So that the final impression which I can get is a scent which blends with the scent of the body. And it is capable of leaving the image of a sophisticated, elegant, and luxurious from the feel of leather and wine. Well you can't just ignore the fashionable and good looking bottle of Burberry London. I'm surprised with the touch of cold handed leading bottle designer : Fabien Baron, which the bottle is wrapped with patterned fabrics typical of Burberry's house. Arise-labeled with the brand 'Burberry London', just like on a Burberry shirt's label. Some of my girl friends said that this Burberry London was pretty nice smelled on a guy, because of the mature impression given by the fragrance. Well I can say this fragrance may be suitable for young man who do not want to be underestimated in the work environment which is dominated by mature man, or young adult who wants to be considered as adult. And I say that Burberry House is succeed in making a mature enough image for those who wear Burberry London. Okay, at last let me write down the notes for you : Top note : Bergamot, Lavender, Cinnamon, Pepper Middle note : Port Wine, Mimosa, Leather Base note : Gaiac (Saintwood), Moss, Tobacco Leaf, Opoponax Thank you for reading
Now this is one Eau de Toilette I have wanted for a while, simply as in terms of value for money it seems to be one of the best out there. I guess everyone is different and if everyone had the same test that technically then life would be very boring. Let's start with the packaging, unlike the normal type of bottles, this comes with a cloth cover stuck to it displaying the Burberry London symbols, I tried to take it off initially as it sticks out from my aftershave collection, but it isn't designed to come off. So yep it does stick out in my collection and normally I love discovering new smells and fragrances but this is the first time since I have started collecting where it just didn't hit the spot with me. In terms of the actual smell it is quite a musky smell, and a smell that is too musky for myself. Don't get me wrong I am a fan of other musky smells like Green Irish Tweed, Unforgivable by Sean John and scents like this. However the problem here was that individually all the notes seem great, but for me when it all comes together then it just didn't hit the spot. The Top notes are Bergamot, Lavender, Cinnamon leaves and black pepper, and you can really sell the Lavender in the initial spray. As you enter the dry down the base notes kick in and you get some woody smell with a hint of tobacco. I suppose for me I preferred the dry down rather than the initial smell, but really it depends on what you prefer. For me this is the type of fragrance that people from the 70's might wear, now I don't want to stereotype anyone of a certain age, but it isn't quite as hip as modern fragrances. I wouldn't wear it as an everyday cologne, the smell is quite poignant so maybe just for special occasions, unless of course you feel like how I do about this fragrance and hence wouldn't use it at all. The longevity lasted around six hours on me, and the projection was a foot or so which is not bad. I must mention that it does vary from person to person, so for me it only lasts six hours, but on another person it may last much longer or much less. I bought mine from Amazon for just over £20 for a 50ml bottle which is very decent value for money, of course the bigger sized bottle the more you spend, but then you end up getting more bang for your buck and a cheaper ml per pence. For example 100ml is under £30, so if this is a fragrance that you enjoy then it makes sense to go for the 100ml option. Overall I will have to give this three stars, I simply can not give it any higher due to me not being a fan of the fragrance, but I know it is popular, plus it is great value for money and may grow on me at some point in the future.
Burberry London for men! Last year on my birthday I got the Burberry London For Men. The bottle looked good and I was very curious to see how he smelled. When I spray it on me I was right away very excited! The Burberry London For Men comes in a rectangular box with four stripes in tones of brown, dark brown and white. The name of the fragrance is mentioned in white on the packaging. The box contains information about the product and the brand. The bottle itself looks really nice and is covered in fabric. It looks like it's for protecting the bottle itself although I don't think that's the reason why they did it. The fabric looks very a like the box with the colors and has a nice luxurious look. The spray is very smooth and is very easy to use. Burberry London for Men has a fresh, spicy scent and feels very manly. When you've just sprayed it smells a little bit like alcohol but when the scent settles down I smell a combination of tangerine and lime, which gives a fresh and sparkling effect. It also smells a little spicy, not really surprising because one of the ingredients in this scent is a spice that gives the effect. The smell does last well just don't spray too much because then it will become overpowering. It's definitely a scent that feels different than other male fragrances and feels spicy but also fresh at the same time but just has a distinctive scent. It's one I try not to use as much as I'm trying to make it last and only wear it at special occasions. The price of the fragrance is around 26 pounds for a bottle of 100ml. Not a bad price.
If their was an award for the worlds beast perfume this spray would definantly be in the nomination to be one of the worlds best perfume. SCENT In this spray you can smell a nice relaxing nose tingling flavor which smells like as if you just want to go to sleep and sniff it all day. It smells a bit like lemons and grapefruits which is a plus for me because i love these fruit and i also like the extra ingredient of ivy leaves. Also the scent of this spray is good because it does not smell too strong and does not give the overpowering smell which can sometimes irritate people. The fact that that this is a bonus because most sprays now days give off the smell of being too strong and that can sometimes distract people when buying sprays. I am going to rate this a 10/10 on scent because it smells good and is not too strong in smell. SCENT=10/10 PACKAGING I really do actually like the packaging because of the colour which to me tells me that this spray is worth buying even before i smelt it. The cover of this spray shows the word weekend in the middle in cool handwriting and at the bottom of the front cover it says burberry in bold letters. I dislike the lid because i didn't like the material of the metal and the design of the lid as well, this is the only factor that has ruined the coolness of this spray. I am going to rate this a 7/10 on packaging because the right colours have been used but the wrong lid materials and design have been used on it. PACKAGING=7/10 QUALITY OR QUANTITY This spray definantly uses both quality and quantity, believe me that it does not disappoint in either of these two features. QUALITY The quality of this spray lives up to its name and delivers both a masculine smell and at the same time a lovely fragrance. The only fault i found with this was that the little tube that sends the spray up the tube in the can may fall off after a short while being used. QUANTITY This spray does not have any fault with the quantity, this spray lasts for practically a life time and it seems as if it never runs out. I have had this for months now and i always put at least one spray a day and for some reason this has only been used 3/4 of the way which gives this a high boost in greatness. I am going to rate this a 8/10 on QUALITY/QUANTITY because it lasts for long and has a masculine smell but the downfall in this sector was that the inner tube part keeps falling off. QUALITY/QUANTITY=8/10 PRICE My mum brought me this as a gift from market it was in fact quite cheap and only cost her a small sum of $10.00 which is definantly a bargain for this kind of quality. Most sprays cost much more than this now days and even the expensive ones usually end up being not as good as the cheap ones. In the market this cost about £10.00 to £12.00 which is just an okay price but if you wish to have an even lower price you should consider going to the high street stores for they can charge any where between £8.00 to £12.00. I am going to rate this a 10/10 on price because the price is worth the sprays quality. This could have been much better and could have also been considered one of the best in the world if only the minor problems were sorted out. READ MY OTHER REVIEWS AT mehmoou1001
One of the presents which I received from Hubby was a 30ml bottle of Burberry Perfume. I am quite fussy when it comes to perfume and like to try before I buy. I sort of screwed up my face when I saw it, but it was a present so I just said thank you. After opening all my pressies and putting them away, I decided to have a sniff and see what it smelled like. I was convinced it would be horrible as I find it hard to find a perfume which I like. It was wrapped in the cellophane wrapping which you normally get. The box is smallish at around 2 and a half inches square. It is cream and at the bottom, all the way round as a trim, is the familiar Burberry, Nova Check. It says on the box that it is a Eau de Parfum. Inside contains a small bottle. It is a sideward oval shaped. It comes with a round silver lid. The front of the bottle has Silver writing on it with BURBERRY London on it. When I took the lid off, I was unable to smell the fragrance. It took a couple of pushes on the top to get any perfume to come out. It smelled very nice. It was quite a fruity smell. It sort of remined me of a spring morning. Apparently it does contain essences of Peach and Apricot, Marigold and Blackcurrant. The peach and apricot, I can believe is there but the marigold and blackcurrant came as a surprise but it is a very pleasant fragrance. It's not overpowering like some perfumes and it made me want to try it again. It is recommended for casual use, but I would use this when going out on a special evening out or on a day to day basis as I have been doing. Quite a few people have commented on it's delicate smell and the fact that it is not over powering. It could be because of the fact that I don't put too much on as I hate to smell overpowering. The smell is just perfect to give off a slight whift and get people asking me for a closer smell, which I always offer my wrist. I also find that I never have to top it up. On e skoosh in the morning lasts in to the early evening, which is ideal as it means it won't be used up quickly. I have used it every day for a week and the bottle still looks full. I'm not sure how this compares with other perfumes but most places such as Boots, The Perfume Shop and Concept Metro all sell this in 30ml Bottles for £25. A 50ml bottle is available for around £36. If you fancy a whiff ask for a sniff next time you are at a perfume counter. It is very nice and I jut love it, which is saying something. It would also be a lovely surprise for a female Partner.
I may have put this op in the wrong place. Sorry. In the product box I just put Burberry Meaning the perfume not the fashion. Please excuse this mistake. This op is about Burberry perfume. I must be in his good books. Yes my hubby. He had to go away to work this week for a few days, and he came back this morning with a pressie. I love pressies. It was a bottle of perfume (does he think I smell) Joking. Burberry perfume, or should I say eau de parfum spray. I know the price of it because I went on the TV banking and checked. 50ml cost him £31.00 The perfume comes in a very plain bottle with the name on the front of it. It is a squat roundish bottle, nothing exciting. But to me the bottle isn’t exciting anyway, it is what is inside the bottle that is more interesting. The smell, I don’t really think I have the right to say what it smells like because different perfumes smell different on different people. On me though the perfume smelt like a delicate blend of musk and fruits. Not over powering, but not to gentle. Kind of a fresh calming warm sexy smell. Burberry is a blend of soft fruits, peach, apricot, sandalwood, cedar, amber, musk and vanilla. It is quite a unique perfume, perfect for romantic evenings. I wouldn’t really wear it in the day. How long does it last (The smell) I put it on at 10 am this morning, it is now 12 midnight. I myself cannot smell it, I think your nose gets used to perfumes and then you go and spray on a ton more and smell like a chemist or a brothel. Yes we all have made that mistake. I have just got my hubby and my daughter to come into the computer room to sniff me. Yes they can still smell it and that is 12 hours later. They both agreed the smell was fading but if I was to apply more, just to give one puff otherwise it would be too much. I think the price is pretty high, but if it lasts a long time you are getting your moneys worth. Would I buy a bottle for myself? Yes I certainly would. It is the kind of perfume that makes you feel good. it makes you feel exotic, oriental and sensual all in one go.
Like most women i love all kinds of perfume, i have tried most of them chanel, lancome, jean paul gaultier, yves saint laurent and many more, but while on holiday i found a perfume shop i was in my element trying on lots of different ones, i came across one called burberrys of london it was a bit strong when i first put it on but after it had settled down it was a lovely summery smell very fresh a bit flowery but quite soft, i found most perfumes lose their smell after a few hours, but this one lasted all day and i had a few coments on how nice it was. If you have the chance to smell this perfume i suggest you try it, but make sure you let it settle down for a few minutes before you make up your mind.
