Advantages: Looks lovely, fruity mandarin scent, lasts all day
Disadvantages: None
I received a pack of miniature designed fragrances as part of a Christmas gift this year, all of which I had never tried before. For the last few weeks I have been using this one from my pack Cacharel:Amor Amor which for a 50ml can cost you in and around the £30 mark, which is pretty standard for a designer perfume.
My miniature bottle is identical to that pictured above. THe bottle is a red glass jar with silver rings around the top - simply but still eye catching given the colour. This fragrance was originally launched in 2003, although I had never noticed it on any perfume counter before.
This is classified as a fruity fragrance and it isn't hard to tell why once you first apply it to the skin. You can immediately smell the mandarin that is a big part of this fragrance and makes you think of summer. There is also the added mix of pink grapefruit and an Indonesian jasmine malati flower. There are notes of lily of the valley and white musk, with base notes of sandalwood, vanilla and ambergis.
The thing I notice most about this fragrance that although it is strong when you first apply it, and yes it does settle the lovely fruity tones remain the same, unlike fragrances that when they settle the scent that you initially like dwindles as well to something very weak and boring. When I put this on in the morning on the inside of my wrist, I can still smell it in the evening, particularly the fruity mandarin.
THis fragrance to me is ideal for everyday use since it is fruity and light. It is also the type of fragrance I think I would be more likely to wear in the Spring and Summer months especially due to the fruity nature of the scent. One of the most important thing about a fragrance in my eyes however is, apart from the scent itself, it whether or not it lasts for the day, and this one definitely does - a big advantage.
All in all, I love the bottle, I love the fruity mandarin scent, I love the fact that it lingers, and next Christmas when I get asked for gift ideas, which always ends up in a perfume, I think I will be asking for a full bottle of this, as I only have a little miniature at the moment.
Summary: A long lasting fruity scent
