Advantages: Smells gorgeous: fruity and floral

Disadvantages: Too much can be a nose-sore

I first bought Cacharel three years ago and I have kept buying it since because it is simply my favourite perfume out there. I'll try and describe the smell. It is supposed to be based on the scent of blackberries, but it also has notes of citrus, jasmine and orchid which makes it less fruity and slightly floral. It's quite a sweet smell, without being sickly. Other notes include sandalwood, cedar, mandarin and bergamot. Its bottle is purple, and I suppose one way to describe the fragrance is to say it smells purple, if you get what I mean. I wear Promesse during the winter specifically, as it's quite a wintry/autumnal scent for me, probably because of the blackberries. I switch to something fresher for summer, which means when I smell Promesse I'm flooded with memories of Christmas. I suggest you buy this and do the same. The bottle is really cute and looks good on my dressing table, and the price is very good for a high-end perfume, a small bottle costing around £15. Buy this perfume if you're a passionate, determined woman who wants to sparkle with a fragrance that's distinctive but doesn't overwhelm.
