I was given a 50ml bottle of Calvin Klein Eurphoria Blossom as a gift back in 2009 when it was first released. It was a follow on from the original Euphoria perfume but is intended to be a lighter version. It is unusual for me to still have an almost full bottle of perfume three years later but unfortunately this perfume really wasn't to my taste.
The box is a pretty purple shade with black writing and looks nice when you receive it as a gift. The bottle is a very unusual shape, short and wide in a squashed oval shape (very hard to describe so maybe look at the photo!). It is made from a frosted light purple/lilac glass through which you can see the contents easily. The lid is tall, rectangular and plastic with the same colour as the bottle. The design is flawed in my opinion because there is only a very small flat area at the base of the perfume on which to balance so it can easily topple over. It is quite pretty and I do like that it is unusual because it looks good with my other perfumes on my dressing table. I think this is the only reason I haven't put it in the bin!
The perfume has fruity top notes of Kumquat, Dew Note and Pomegranate. I instantly knew this perfume was too light, fresh and fruity for my taste. I believe the top notes of a perfume are meant to stay on your skin for at least a few minutes but with Euphoria blossom this seemed to be more like one minute. This gave way to the floral heart notes for which the perfume is named after: Orchid, Lotus Blossom and Pink Peony. I didn't find this to be a particularly nice floral scent; it was too sharp and really tickled my nose. Again this disappeared quickly, within about five minutes. Lastly the musky base notes of Amber and Frosted Musk. This was an overwhelming musky smell that hurt the back of my throat. This stayed on my skin for around an hour but at this point I was sick of the perfume and wanted to wash it off! Had I liked the perfume I would have been very disappointed with its staying power. Overall I found the perfume to be too light with little depth or body to it. I disliked all three stages of this perfume and in particular the very musky base notes.
Prices for this perfume are around £29 for 30ml or £42.00 for 50 ml. This isn't the cheapest of perfumes but I think this would be fairly reasonable price for a designer brand had I liked the perfume but having received it for free as a gift I think even that is poor value! I feel bad that a friend spent good money on this perfume. It is anything but Euphoric and I recommend you keep away from it or maybe just look at the bottle.
Euphoria Blossom - a delicate, alluring floral essence.
Calvin Klein, one of my favourite designers for their clean lines and lovely clothes also do a really nice perfume range. Calvin Klein Euphoria has been one of my favourite fragrances over the last couple of years and so has their Euphoria Blossom which was a new take on the original Euphoria fragrance. The blossom fragrance was released in 2007 so has been around for a while and as such is a bit cheaper now than some of the newer perfumes but this is definitely a benefit for me.
The blossom fragrance is definitely a bit softer than the original Euphoria but still has a lovely bloom about it and an alluring scent. Euphoria Blossom is described as a fresh floral citrus smell. It opens with fresh citrus notes and adds beautiful peonies to the Japanese apple, rose hip, lotus, and red wood heart of the fragrance. A touch of pretty white musk and base notes of black orchid, violet and golden amber complete the fragrance with a deeply feminine and utterly captivating flourish. Its definitely a very fresh girly fragrance and lovely for summertime wear. It does have quite a musky smell to it as well and if you don't really like the flowery smell then I would not recommend this to you but if you are looking for something very feminine and captivating then I would recommend it. I get quite a lot of compliments when I wear this perfume which is nice.
The bottle is lovely too and looks just like the original Euphoria bottle with a few slight differences. It is a sort of moon shaped bottle with a long stopper at the top. The bottle has a lovely light pink hue to it and when it rests on your shelf it rocks slightly on its bottom from side to side if you knock it. The stopper is a nice see through glass and then there is the spray function at the top.
As I've mentioned above as its a few years old now you can pick up a bottle fairly cheaply on some of the cheap fragrance websites out there. My recent 30ml purchase cost int he £20 to £25 region which I don't think is too bad at all and considering it lasts quite a long time I think this is very good value.
Euphoria Blossom perfume was launched last year and is a lighter version of the previous Calvin Klein offering of Euphoria first released in 2005. I haven't tried the original version of the Euphoria perfume, but when my husband bought me a 50ml bottle of this updated lighter version, I was very pleased.
The bottle is a very unusual shape, though I have to say that I find it hard to balance at times due to the rounded base - I wish Calvin Klein had made it flatter on the bottom so it was easier to stand up. Still the bottle is an attractive pale pinky lilac colour which I liked and it does look good on my dresser when it stands up.
The scent, which I first put just a few squirts of on before adding more not long after, is a very fresh, light and citrussy scent to my nose. The start of the fragrance is quite fruity and is appealing, and after a while this changes to a more floral scent which must be where the name comes from - the middle notes of the scent are all blossom related with orchid blossom, lotus blossom and the equally flowery and oriental pink peony too. I liked this very feminine middle section to the scent, but it just didn't last long enough for my liking. All too soon I was left with a muskier base, which although was nice, wasn't anything amazing and very a bit too subtle for my liking.
Official notes are: Kumquat, Dewy green accord (whatever that is), Pomegranate, Orchid Blossom, Lotus Blossom, Pink Peony, Blonde Wood, White Amber and Frosted Sheer Musk, but aside from a general fruity and flowery nature, I couldn't really pick out the individual scents.
To be honest, I'm not massively impressed by the staying power of Euphoria Blossom. For me it's so light that after a few hours I can barely smell it at all unless I have a good sniff of my wrists. There's no chance that anyone else would be able to smell it on me unless they got overly close!
My own bottle was a gift, but in general a 50ml bottle will set you back between £25-30 which is not too expensive, although there are cheaper perfumes around which I like more. 30ml and 100ml bottles are also available, and the perfume can be found cheapest online.
Overall, this is a nice enough smelling perfume while the scent lasts but it just doesn't last long enough in my opinion, it's a bit too light, so just 3 stars from me.
I first received the original Euphoria two to three years ago now, and loved it so much i bought Euphoria Blossom last year as a treat. Mine came in a silky gift-box, with added shower creme. The size of the box was possibly too large in comparison to the contents but it did make the packaging look extra special.
When you first spray the perfume, the scent is quite fruity, which is very reminiscent of the original Euphoria. The sugary undertones build up the scent which make it particularly different to other women's perfumes on the market. Finally, the floral smells come through as it settles, hence the name 'blossom' which reminds you of spring on a March day. I should point out that the scent is not overpowering but subtle, in a way that you can wear the perfume for ordinary occasions (e.g. work, around the home). I think it's a perfect scent to use during winter, because not only will it remind you of warmer times but it will tie in nicely with the scents of nature. It is a perfume that will stay on throughout the day, depending on where you spray it. A tip i always use is to spray a few squirts above your hair and move your head left and right as the scent falls down. May sound a bit crazy... but for those with sensitive skin it's a god-send! It also throws out the scent whenever you move your hair so it appears to last all day long. If you spray onto your skin, sweat will eventually evaporate the scent too!
The bottle design is very different to others out there. The curvature of the bottle sits in the palm of your hand perfectly, which makes it easy to spray accurately, but also means it is relatively difficult to stand up on its own. You almost have to balance it because the surface area of the bottom is not big enough. It would have been much better to have a flat bottom to aid this problem.
This is one of the more expensive perfumes out there, in my opinion. Around £30 for a 50ml bottle, although prices would vary depending on where you purchase it. Euphoria would make a perfect Christmas gift for the young woman. I think it is worth paying the extra for a quality product, instead of wasting your money on cheaper and thus strong and overpowering brand.
There is nothing like the first hint of sunshine to encourage a brand new wardrobe, new shoes and of course a new fragrance! The gentleman amongst you may never understand the sudden desire to change our look but it really is the perfect time to reinvent yourself. My staple fragrance is Calvin Klein Euphoria, I wear it because it is heavy, long lasting, sexy and 'my' smell. However the heaviness is not really appropriate for the summer time feeling so I was on the hunt for something new.
Without my perfume I feel a bit naked and frequently go out without make up but rarely without scent. It is also one of my favourite things to browse and buy so a perfectly timed trip away gave me ample time to browse duty free. After smelling an endless amount of 'summer' fragrances and concluding they either smelt like babies or grandma's I spotted the Calvin Klein stand, resigned to yet another bottle of Euphoria I was pleased to spot this. Euphoria Blossom has actually been around for a few years but was below radar for me, the name instantly evoked summer feelings and a quick squirt had me sold.
The bottle I have is much more attractive than the one shown, I have the 100ml so maybe that is why there is a slight design difference. The bottle is glass and the perfume contained within is a beautiful, delicate pink. The bottle is nicely shaped and on the glass is a subtle gold motif featuring funnily enough Blossom! It also makes it very identifiable from my Euphoria bottle.
For those of you with better noses than me it is described as a perfume with base notes of blond wood, white amber and frosted sheer musk. Heart notes of orchid blossom, lotus blossom and pink peony petals and top notes of pomegranate, kumquat and a 'dewy green accord.' I have it on good authority that it is the dewy green accord that brings the perfume its freshness.
For me it smells floral with a whiff of the musk that makes the Euphoria fragrance so successful. When it is first applied you are struck with a fruity, almost citrus burst. This initial summer hit dies down and leaves a more residual woody scent. I am no expert but I would say that the fruit notes are what take this fragrance into the summer category without being overpowering. It is certainly distinct from the other floral perfumes because it retains its musky base.
This is certainly a daytime scent, it is not going to have a long lasting impact on people but is great for smelling fresh and summery. The smell does not last all day, in fact four squirts will see me through to about lunchtime but this is far better performing than some of the other brands I have tried. The smell is uplifting and catching a whiff certainly lightens my mood.
It does not get as much attention as Euphoria but then again Euphoria seems to leap off my skin and slap people in the face whereas this fragrance is much more subtle in its attractiveness. The success of Euphoria for me lies in its sex appeal, Blossom is certainly attractive and feminine but in a much more delicate way.
I love the bottle and can imagine this being liked by anyone in their late teens to mid twenties, as the smell is not too strong and not overly floral it would be a good gift and is also available in gift sets.
The fragrance can be bought from Amazon 50ml for £26.19 (I have the bumper 100ml bottle which will last through to next year.)
Euphoria Blossom is one of the newest fragrances in the Calvin Klein range, and I think it is one their nicest so far. The perfume is packed in a lovely square box which is a gorgeous pink colour and has three silver coloured stripes across it which looks like ribbons. The packaging is quite plain but looks really feminine and girly because of the lovely pink colour.
The bottle of perfume is quite small and wide, it is about 6.5 cm tall and 6cm wide. The perfume bottle is made from see through coloured glass which is a deep pink colour at the top of the bottle and gradually fades to a frosted white colour at the bottom of the bottle. The perfume has a silver chrome effect spray top and a tall thin frosted glass lid. The lid doesn't really sit securely on top of the perfume bottle and it falls off quite easily if you have the perfume in your handbag. Apart from that I think that the bottle looks really decorative and pretty and it's really small so takes up hardly any room in your handbag or on your dressing table.
When I first wore Euphoria Blossom the scent reminded me of another perfume and it took me a few days to remember what it smelled similar to. I think that it smells so much like Thierry Muger Angel perfume because of its syrupy sweet musky scent, the only difference between Euphoria Blossom and Angel is that Euphoria Blossom is a lot sweeter and slightly less musky than Angel.
Euphoria Blossom is described as having
Top Notes of Kumquat, Dew Note, Pomegranate
The top notes are the first phase of the perfume; they are usually the most volatile and evaporate from the skin very quickly. The top notes are usually very light and refreshing and their scent usually lasts for anything between five and ninety minutes.
Middle Notes ifOrchid, Lotus Blossom, Pink Peony
The middle notes of a scent are therapeutic and balancing oils, sometimes the middle notes are often referred to as the heart notes of a scent. The middle notes are not always evident and can take between thirty and sixty minutes to develop on your skin, and they last for anything between two to four hours.
Base Notes of White Amber and Frosted Musk
The base notes are the longest lasting notes in a fragrance, most perfumes use the same base notes. This is because they give the perfume more staying power and stop the top and middle notes from evaporating from your skin as quickly.
I think that this perfume has a really light airy scent compared to Angel because sometimes I felt that when I wore Angel it smelled too heavy and overpowering, but Euphoria Blossom is like a lighter fresher version of Angel. Another good point about Euphoria Blossom is that it has good staying power and you don't have to spray loads of it. I find that 3 or 4 sprays of this are enough for me and the scent lasts for over 5 hours. Personally I think that because Euphoria Blossom is a rather sweet perfume that it is best to use it as a "special occasions" perfume rather than an everyday perfume.
I love the smell of Euphoria Blossom and I will buy another bottle of it when I have finished the bottle my mum got me for my birthday. I think that this perfume would suit any age range especially if you like the smell of Thierry Mugler's Angel perfume. The only bad thing I can say about Euphoria Blossom is that if you spray too much of it then it can be a little overpowering and cheap smelling. Its one of those perfumes where a little goes a long way and if you wear too much of it too often you might end up getting sick of the scent of it and want something new to wear.
Euphoria Blossom isn't an expensive perfume to buy, I cheekily asked my mum where she bought it from and how much she paid for it so as I could include it in my review. The euphoria Blossom Gift set can be bought from Boots for £35 and for this price you get a 50ml bottle of perfume and a 100ml bottle of body lotion.
This is actually great value for money because from Boots it costs £35 just to buy the perfume itself without the body lotion, so by buying the gift set you are getting the body lotion for free. A 200ml bottle of the body lotion from Boots costs £24 to buy. So it works out cheaper and better value for money to buy the gift set.
For more information on the gift set go to www.Boots.com
I highly recommend Calvin Klein Euphoria Blossom perfume as it is smells gorgeous.

A friend brought me this for my birthday earlier this year and after seeing adverts on the television for this I was really happy that I finally had the chance to try it out. Now Ive read through a couple of reviews for this perfume and everyone seems to really love it, however I'm here to tell you the complete opposite. This is probably the worst perfume I have ever smelt and had the displeasure of smelling of, I still have the very same bottle gathering dust at the back of my bathroom shelf which just goes to show how little I have used and here's why I will never use it again!
This is one thing I did like about this perfume. The bottle itself is very stylish and a lovely pink/purple in colour. The bottom of the bottle is a kind of half moon shape which is very easy to hold when your spraying it and the top is a pink rectangle shape, easy to pull of and overall the whole bottle looks very sexy and sophisticated. Oh how I wish the perfume inside was the same!
Right first Ill have a peek around the net and find out what the ingredients are......
Well I couldn't find the ingredients but I would say it smells like a mixture of roses and well sweat or something else horrible! It just has the most disgusting smell ever, when wearing this you smell like you haven't bathed in a about a week! Its just vile and I'm not sure what else to say. I wont be wearing it ever again and I hope I never smell anyone else wearing it, I think I might throw up!!
Just don't buy this it is in my opinion the worst perfume I have ever tried and I would urge other's not to bother especially don't spend your own money it! However if you enjoy smelling of dried sweat and roses this will be the perfect perfume for you lol. I'm actually going to give my bottle away to some poor unsuspecting soul soon as soon as I can find someone stupid enough to take it :). I hope the friend who bought me this perfume doesnt read this, thanks but no thanks lol.
Don't Waste Your Money!
Should you still want to try this perfume a 100ml bottle from cheapsmells.com will cost you around £39.95

An absolutely gorgeous fragrance which many of my friends have commented on and bought themselves. I would say that this is quite a young fragrance and would recommend it for teenagers and women in their 20's, as it is light, flowery, flirty and pretty. The fragrance is more of a perfume to wear during the day than in the evening, as I think something with a stronger scent would be more appropriate for the evenings.
The bottle is very stylish, a lovely colour and looks great on my dressing table in my room and the box that it comes in is of the same purple colour, making a great present. The top is a normal spray, which makes it easy to apply. However, the front of the bottle is some sort of frosted glass which scratches very easily, as I found when I put the bottle in my bag. Also, the bottle top is very plasticy and makes the bottle look a bit cheap. Due to the fact that the perfume is an eau de toilette rather than an eau de parfum, it is not very strong and does not last that long, so you will need to reapply it a few times a day.
Overall, the perfume a great flowery twist on the original Euphoria and makes the perfect present!
I bought this for my girlfriend's birthday because it was both my and her favourites out of all we could find. The thing is though that she wears it when she goes to work and it has evaporated by the time she comes home! Those lucky bastards in the office!
It is a sweet smelling fragrance that smells of pink roses (as the bottle's colour would suggest) when blooming. If you have ever stuck your nose into a rose when it is most fragrant you will know the smell. Its like that except you don't get those little black things in your nose. Are they bugs?
As I already mentioned, this fragrance is nice and subtle, but does not last the whole day! Perhaps if you were in an aircoditioned room, prone the whole day it would, but if you walk around and the temperature is above 3 degrees, you will sweat it off.
My girlfriend gets a little bit upset when she puts it on during the weekend because I keep having the urge to kiss her neck and smell her. She thinks its weird in public, but I can't resist!
I really like the smell of calvin kleins Euphoria Blossom... it isnt over powering, just a lovely light flowery scent, great for everyday use, or about anything. Is quite expensive, but if you search around on the internet im sure you could find it cheaper. Now its the only perfume i'll buy! But word of advice, go to a shop that sales it just to see what it smells like, it might not be to everyone taste, as with everything, just so if you don't like it, your not stuck with it... better stay than sorry! Another thing, i really like the packing, the shape of the bottle is different and unique - many perfumes i find i like just have plain boring packing...But the shape does make it hard to get the scent out, quite hard to hole...but i love the colour, very girly... would fit all age groups so perfect for a gift for someone! Hopefully this helps!
I tend to stick with the perfumes I know suit me and don't make me feel ill, unfortunately just a sniff of some stronger perfumes and I get a headache that can lead to a migraine and being physically sick. One day a friend was saying that she like Euphoria Blossom, but found the original too strong so I tried it and liked it and bought a bottle.
Calvin Klein launched the original Euphoria in 2005, it is a deep fragrance but far too heavy to appeal for the Asian market so decided last year to create a lighter version. That pleased me too!
I always find describing a fragrance very difficult but for the people who like to know these things I can give you this information.
Kumquat, Dewy green accord and Pomegranate.
Orchid blossom, Lotus blossom and Pink peony.
Blond wood, White amber and Frosted sheer musk.
To start with you can smell the sweetness, but there is a citrus fragrance too, I have no idea what Dewy green accord smells like, but there is a fresh floral fragrance and later I can smell a milder fragrance, not a deep musk but a light fresh ending. The top notes change after a few minutes and I like it better later. I have had people ask what perfume I'm wearing if I have re-applied it during an evening out, as it smells nice.
*Does it last?*
There was a clue in the last paragraph! Unfortunately not as well as some fragrances do. After about 3 hours I can't really smell it, but if I sniff my wrist (can't reach anywhere else I spray!)I am aware of a slight perfume.
*What is the bottle like?*
I searched several shops before finding it to try a second time, it is easier to find now though. The box is a beautiful shaded pinks and lilac colour and is pearlescent, a chunky rectangular shape. The name Euphoria blossom is in the top corner and Calvin Klein in the opposite lower corner, mine was a 1fl oz size or 30mls. The bottle is one I love, but will be hard to describe. It is almost shaped like an eye, but less rounded at the base, it is clear at the top so you can see the perfume but lightly coloured and opaque lower down. It is a lovely shape, it feels as if someone has gripped the glass and pushed their thumb and finger in to shape it. The spray part is chrome and the pull off top is square pale lilac plastic. My bottle is small enough to carry in a handbag.
Silly me I could have said look at the picture!
Well, this varies so much so do shop around on the internet. At the moment I have seen it for £20 for 30mls and £28.95 for 50mls plus 95p postage from Cheap Smells. The MRP is £26 and £35 respectively, but it can be considerably more expensive too, so it is worth spending time checking! Comparison is normally per 100mls and I've seen this at £57.50!
*What has been said about it*
"Inspired by the delicate aura of an exquisite flower in bloom. Like a precious flower unfolding petal by petal, euphoria blossom is a lush, fresh floral that captivates the senses with its sparkling freshness and dewy radiance."
I can see where this statement is coming from, as the fragrance does open out and I can notice the fragrance changing, it always remains fresh floral making it a lovely daytime EDT and for me an evening one too. I will buy it again even though it doesn't last a long time as I really like the fresh fragrance, and it makes me feel good too. That's why it's called Euphoria!
(Just need to write some more Dooyoo reviews!)
Calvin Klein is fast becoming my favourite more upmarket perfumier. CKIN2U and Euphoria have both become fragrances I wear frequently so when looking for a way to spend my Christmas dosh I decided to browse the perfume counters at Boots which is when I saw this. An advert had already intrigued me as to how it would smell but I had a feeling I'd like it. (I also had a soft spot for the pretty bottle.) I don't buy luxury perfumes very often they're decidedly a special treat for a nine pound difference though I decided to really spoil myself and get the 50ml option this way it'll last a little longer. Plus the advantage points are always a bonus. The fragrance itself is slightly different in my opinion to Euphoria its fresher but the name is very appropriate and its a favourite to me and my partner. Whilst it isn't the most practical purchase I've ever made, fragrances never are this one is utterly divine and I love it.
OK I got the first one of these as a pressie and loved it so when I got this one I was excited about the smell and what it would be like. I'm surprised they are not similar at all but that's a good thing. I actually love this one more than the first one which I didn't expect. It's quite a freshfragrance that captivates your senses and it is a smell that will get you lots of compliments from everyone - men and woman love this smell which can only be a good thing. I like the fact that you only need to put this on in the morning and you can still smell it on you at night so you don't have to spray on loads of it throughout the day. This reminds me of the spring-time and I know it's a while away yet guys but it's a perfect Valentines pressie, your other half wouldn't be disappointed with this
Euphoria Blossom by Calvin Klein is a sparkling, citrus, casual fragrance for the modern woman. It has top notes of kumquat, dewy green accord and pomegrante, a heart of orchid blossom, lotus blossum and pink peony petals and woods, amber and musk at the base.
