With it being my birthday recently I was lucky enough again to receive yet another present from my teenage son chosen and purchased completely on his own. Over the festive period, at one of our many parties, I had asked a friend what perfume she was wearing as I really liked it, the whole room seemed to be filled with a beautiful sensual, light fragrance that was in no way overpowering, it lingered faintly all evening, fresh and fruity. She told me it was Euphoria by Calvin Klein, unknown to me my son had been listening to our conversation and had obviously taken note! (Thankfully as I certainly wouldn't be buying myself any perfume at this time of year!)

As this fragrance is an eau de parfum it is slightly more expensive but has the added benefit of having a long lasting scent, which will linger seductively on your body all day long. Quite a head-turner scent with plenty compliments from those around you, which somehow made me feel feminine and contented with myself.

The bottle of fragrance came in a deep red coloured cardboard box. On opening the box I discovered a beautifully shaped bottle. I'd never seen this bottle before, I don't really know how I'd managed to miss this one considering the Calvin Klein range of fragrances is a definite favourite of mine. Anyway back to the bottle. I had read that the idea for the design of this bottle had come from the shape of an orchid just before blooming. Personally, however, I feel the shape of this bottle is more in keeping with a taco shell. This glass taco shell shaped bottle is imaginatively coated with a silver metallic finish with the ends being left as glass revealing the rosy coloured perfume inside. The lid, also in a silver metallic finish, is long and rectangular in shape with "Calvin Klein - Euphoria" printed on it.

The scent is described as being modern and sensual with top notes of fruity pomegranate, succulent persimmon and lush green notes. The heart or middle notes of this perfume are more floral in nature consisting of rich black orchid, dewy lotus blossom and champaca flower. As the day passes by the we are left with the base notes or drydown, which consist of the more earthy and quite sexy, sensual scents of liquid amber, black mahogany, black violet and cream accord.

I never like to leave the house without my spray of perfume in the morning and I do enjoy wearing a scent I can be confident will last all day long. I feel perfumes are a very personal choice with each one being different for every individual and you will often find that a perfume you may love on someone else you make not necessarily love on yourself.

Perfume should always be applied to the pulse points with most people usually applying to the wrists and neck, applying here can help the scent to be more prominent. When I first sprayed this perfume I was initially aware of the fresh quite fruity notes, not too overpowering but yet quite sweet. After a couple of hours I did become slightly more aware of the floral middle notes but I was still personally more aware of the fruity notes, not quite as sweet and slightly more musky. By evening, whilst building up a sweat on the Wii Fit, as I lifted my arms up and down in time to the music I was quite aware of pleasant musky but yet sweet aroma. Not really quite sure where it was coming from I put it down to the scented candle I was burning, no it wasn't that, I could smell the candle as well. I then realised I was smelling the lingering scent of the perfume I had sprayed 12 hours earlier, every time my wrists passed my nose I was greeted with the pleasant and still quite prominent drydown, giving a sensual musky scent.

What I enjoyed about this perfume was the fact that it burst to life with an array of fruity notes. A pleasant head turning fragrance, which made me feel alive. I enjoyed the comments from people as they made me feel good. I also enjoyed the way when I left a room I also left my scent lingering behind me.

Overall I would rate this perfume with 5 stars. A lovely, modern, sensual fragrance, which will turn heads. A long-lasting fragrance that lingers all day.
