Cerruti 1881 is a delightful fragrance produced by the design house of Nino Cerruti in 1995. The Nino Cerruti line of perfumes is made to stand for consistency and evolution. His uplifting and inspirational scents uphold his forward thinking philosophy which is applied to both his fashion line and his popular 1881 and Image perfume range. -
--CERRUTI 1881--
Cerruti 1881 is presented in a frosted glass bottle. The half moon lid is in a peach marbled effect with a gold band which runs around the base of the lid on which has Cerruti 1881 etched into the metal. The container looks expensive and attractive and is in the shape of a round. The bottle which I have is a baby size and weighs just 3.7ml .12 fl Oz, and it contains the perfume and not the Eau de Toilette. It has an unscrew cap which reveals a hole in the top of the bottle for applying the perfume by means of dabbing onto the wrists and other pulse points. The lid secures well and there is no chance of it becoming undone when placed in my small make-up bag to take on a night out. Although being a tiny bottle, it has lasted well, as this perfume is really long lasting when upon the skin. -
--THE CERRUTI 1881 SCENT--
This is a very interesting perfume. It doesn't smell expensive or French in composition, yet it has a fragrance that I find absolutely delightful. Cerruti 1881 is made to represent, when translated by the olfactory senses, white crisp linen, which in a way it does. It reminds me in fact of Estee Lauders 'White Linen' fragrance, which is indeed very similar. So think 'White Linen' and it is something along the lines of that scent wise. The sharp tang of the geranium note is very evident here, as is the chamomile and rosewood. The combination of the notes blend together to mix into this lovely potion which I feel is a perfect daytime perfume for office or casual wear.-

--SUMMARY--
I really like this perfume. It doesn't have an 'expensive' French smell to it, but it does have a really lovely, fresh feminine scent to it. It's lively and uplifting with a sweet fresh fragrance. It reminds me of fresh cut flowers. Combine this with crisp white linen and this is what Cerruti 1881 is trying to depict to the olfactory senses and I think it comes across very well. It has a beautiful, powdery rose note which comes through also and the whole scent is entirely uplifting. Costing £25.01 on special offer. Natural and classic, Cerruti 1881 has a scent which puts me in mind of a beautiful garden of fresh cut flowers. -
