      Another great fragrance from Chanel

All of the experiences I have with buying perfumes or anything at all really, from Chanel, has not left me disappointed and regretting spending way too much money doing so! Chanel is a brand that promieses something original, something exiting and something special. This fragrance from the legendary, historic brand gives you all of this and more, and it has fast become one of my favorites in my too big collection of perfumes!

All though I paid 64.99 for this perfume, I have not regretted that for a second! It has a very refreshing, lovely scent, and this fragrance is my first choice for when I`m going off to a special occasion or just want to smell lovely during an ordinary day! However, it`s expensive, so I don`t use it every day, but this perfume has become a splurge that I allow myself to do once in a while! These are the scents I have detected and come to love in this fragrance:

Bergamot, Lemon, Magnolia, Jasmin and something resembling to the scent of honey... This combination is refreshing and original, and will last on your skin for about seven hours before needing another spritz. I will however say that most perfumes tend to smell differently on different typpes of skin, and me and my best friend have found that this fragrance smells a bit different on us, for whatever reason that is... However, this still is a lovely perfume that I absolutely recommend as a gift to your friend or yourself, as it in addition to everything else, also comes in a very stylish and elegant bottle, luxurious all the way!

      Chanel- all is well!

Another classy blend from the house of Chanel

Dooyoo worship at the fragrance shrine of Chanel?

If so then you will be aware of this wonderful green scent and if not, you may want to hot foot it to your local Chanel cosmetic and fragrance counter and bag yourself a cheeky sample of this stunning scent.

If you are a fan of light fresh chypre based fragrance then you will love Chanel's Cristalle Eau Verte, Eau de Toilette. The fragrance came out last year in 2009, as a summer scent, but has been so successful and well loved that it is so much more than just a light scent for a summers day.

Chanel, Cristalle Eau Verte, Eau de Toilette is classy. I first came across it as a sample last year and since then I have been a fan. It has an interesting mix of ingredients which give it a scent that whilst similar to other blends, does have its own personality.

Recently I discovered that Miss Dior Cherie has an 'almost twin' in the form of Sarah Jessica Parker SJC NYC, but so far, I haven't found anything which is as close in match for this.

      **********************************************************
I guess that it could be compared to Chanel's very own NO19. However that is a very pungent green fragrance when first spritzed on and then dies down to a deeper, muskier smell. It also compares well to Estee Lauder's own Alliage, which is again a strong blend of very green ingredients, but pack a big punch that would over power Cristalle Eau Verte.

When you buy any Chanel scent, I think that the bottles and boxes are very understated. Its almost as though Chanel feel that they are such an iconic and classy brand, that they need no fancy fripperies for their products. Less for Chanel in terms of of design details is more. The simplicity of their bottles is the trade mark of the brand and understated is the order of the day.

The bottle is a tall rectangular shape, with the iconic Chanel name on and very little else to over shadow it. It has a wide silver band towards the top of the bottle and an understated white lid, with the crossed CC Chanel logo on top. Its a very simple design, which adds no more no less to the scent itself.

      *********************************************************
The EDT spray is very concentrated and long lasting on the skin, I have spritized this on and can still sense its lingering scent after several hours of wear and if you get it on your clothes by accident it will remain softly on them too.

Whilst it is s lovely fresh scent to wear on a warm summers day, I feel it can be worn anytime. Its distinctive but not so strong that it gets up the noses of colleagues, friends, loved ones and passers by. The comments I have received about it have been very positive and many women have commented that they would like to see how it smells on their own skin, then walk away planning their own big rush to the fragrance counter to check it out.

      *********************************************************
The scent inside the bottle is as green as its name, the blend of ingredients that include magnolia, exotic jasmine and a wonderful dash of citrusy lemon are complimented by neroli, honeysuckle and bergamot oil. Its green, fresh light and classic. It mellows well and doesn't smell at all heavy.

I have found that it is cheaper than No19 but more expensive than Alliage. Priced at around £62 or so for a 100ml bottle, its not cheap, but it is very long lasting when in use.

It has good staying power and longevity and only needs to be used very sparingly. Using the scent that way will mean it could last a year or so, even if you spritz it on 2 to 3 times a week. Less is 100% more with this fragrance, it doesn't need to be sprayed on thickly, a lighter touch is always best.

      ********************************************************
I feel that the fragrance is fully deserving of a 5 star rating as its a stand out scent with lots of class. Whilst its not girly and flowery its grown up scent stands up well and as with most Chanel blends, its a subtle classic way to wear fragrance.

Perfect for rich people who love lemons and bergamot orange!

I've never bought a whole bottle of expensive perfume; I have a tendency to treat myself to little samples on eBay. It's a good way to try out perfumes before you plump for a pricey bottle! I purchased a group of Chanel samples from one eBay seller, and a 2ml spray vial of Cristalle Eau Verte was included.

I've never experienced the original Cristalle, which was released in 1974. I think some purists don't really like this new version, from a quick Google, which led me to reviews on specialist perfume websites, written by people with immense knowledge of the fragrance world, and incredibly good noses.

Cristalle eau Verte is apparently composed of magnolia, white flowers, jasmine, bergamot and Sicilian lemon scents. I'm not terribly good at detecting individual 'notes' in a perfume. I was surprised that this fragrance was classed as 'floral'; as soon as I applied it I could sense citrus fragrances, so I would have considered it 'fruity'.

This perfume, to me, smells overwhelmingly of sweetness and lemons, but not in a sickly or artificial way. It's not a one-note perfume; I can detect the bergamot and perhaps a hint of cut grass. One application lasted me all day, and I found it wonderfully refreshing and gorgeous. Sadly I am not very good at perfume reviews and find it difficult to explain quite why it was so nice. It is not fruity in the way of the body-sprays aimed at young teenagers; it is somehow more subtle than that, but overwhelmingly light and reviving.

Although I did not experience the perfume in its usual packaging, I have been able to see from my web research that it comes in an understated, classy rectangular, clear sort of bottle, with a clear typeface, as do all Chanel perfumes, I believe. The perfume itself is a light green colour.

The price is a bit offputting, as it currently costs £59.26 for 100ml from Boots and Debenhams. I couldn't justify paying so much for it. It's a lovely fragrance, but it is a bit simplistic for that price, I think. If you know someone who loves fresh, citrussy things, and you want to give them a very expensive present, then I'd recommend this, perhaps alongside some Bliss bath products, because they have a similarly intense lemony kick.

If anyone wants to leave comments giving me hints on how to improve fragrance reviews, I'd be most grateful!
