Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Toilette
by anwar7
I love wearing perfume and have quite a large collection. One of my favourites is chanel coco mademoiselle. I have been buying this perfume for as long as I can remember and recently treated myself to a new bottle form a duty free shop on the way back from India. As far as I am concerned coco is a very classy, beautiful scent and one I ... will be buying again.
Coco mademoiselle was first launched in 2001 as part of the Chanel collection. It has used both Kate Moss and Keira Knightley in its advertising campaigns. Although this perfume is aimed at younger women, I think it is suitable for women of all ages. It is certainly not a cheap scent with the smallest 35 ml bottle costing around £45. I can't remember exactly how much I paid for my 35 ml bottle but it was around the £40 mark. The perfume is available in 35 ml, 50 ml and 100 ml bottles. It is well worth shopping around before you buy as the prices vary quite a lot.
The bottle is very classy as you would expect from Chanel. The outer cardboard box is predominately white with gold edging. Inside is a glass bottle with gold edging. The pink perfume is visible through the glass. The rectangular glass top is removed to reveal a spray nozzle.
This is a light perfume with floral notes. The top notes are orange, bergamot, mandarin and Tunisian curacaa. The middle notes are morning rose, Haitian jasmine, ylang-ylang and mimosa and the base notes are Indonesian Patchouli, Haitian vetiver, vanilla, white musk and Tonka bean. Overall I would describe this perfume as a sweet, floral scent. It is very light although has amazing staying power. I like to apply my perfume in the morning after my shower; I can still detect it after a full day. Although this is a light scent, I think it is well suited for both day and evening wear. I hate heavy, cloying scents as they tend to give me headaches. This scent is very subtle, although also very distinctive and I can easily recognise it when worn by other women.
Overall this is another perfume that I love! It is very expensive, but a little goes a long way and a 35 ml bottle will last me for ages. This is one of my favourite scents and I will be buying it again. Read the complete review |

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Toilette
by rji0907
As I have gotten older, my taste in perfume has become rather expensive, much to the disgust of my other half!! I love the Chanel range of perfumes and am lucky enough to own a couple in the range, one of these being the Chanel Coco Mademoiselle perfume.
I was fortunate enough to receive this as a gift a while ago, and the ... bottle is still going strong now as this is far too good for a day to day perfume, and so it only comes out on very special occasions. Although I didn't actually purchase this myself, I knew from the brand name that it was going to be at the top end of perfumes, price wise and I was right.
For the purpose of this review, I looked up the price of this perfume and it tends to retail at around £48.00, for a 35ml bottle, so it really is an expensive perfume, but in my book, it is worth every penny.
This is a delightfully light perfume, that has an aroma that lasts for hours. It is mainly floral and is described as a jasmine/rose accord. It is the kind of perfume that attracts attention, and I have received many compliments about it. It has real individual flair to it and is instantly recognisable as being from the Chanel range.
This perfume oozes class and sophistication and is one that gives me a lift each time I wear it. I would describe it as classic and timeless as I believe this is one that will be around for a while and isn't a fad that will disappear into obscurity in time.
Although floral fragrances aren't always my first preference when it comes to perfumes, this one is just divine as it isn't too strong and overpowering and when I smell it, I imagine Spring flowers coming into bloom, and as the Spring/Summer months are my favourite months, this immediately puts a smile on my face and that is why I love this perfume so much.
This may be out of the price range of some, or more than some are prepared to pay for a perfume, but this is a prime example of 'you get what you pay for' and therefore if you want a perfume to the quality of this one, then you have to pay for it.
Overall, this is simply a very beautiful perfume that really enhances your mood and leaves you feeling confident and elegant. It is subtle, yet distinctive and classy. Yes it is expensive, but it is well worth every penny in my book and therefore it comes with a recommendation from me. Read the complete review |

Chanel Coco Eau de Parfum
by aclevername
Chanel Coco is an oriental spicy perfume, which was first launched in 1984.
I have a 100ml bottle of the eau de parfum.
~ Bottle ~
It comes in a clear glass bottle and is the classic rectangular shape that the Chanel bottles come in.
The front of the bottle there is a gold coloured rectangular ... shape, which borders a black coloured rectangle with the words, 'COCO EAU DE PARFUM CHANEL PARIS' in gold lettering.
The lid of the perfume is quite heavy and is made from clear glass. It has a cylindrical neck, which fits over the spray nozzle. This has two gold stripes going right around the neck, with a thicker black stripe in the middle with a tiny Chanel logo (two letter 'C's one facing left and one facing right) on the front.
The top of the lid is rectangular with angular edges.
The lid fits nicely on the top of the bottle, clicking into place.
The perfume itself is an orangey colour.
I like the design of this bottle. It is a nice size and a classic shape. I really like the shape of the lid as well.
One thing that I don't like so much about the bottle is how easily it gets fingerprints on the glass. I find it quite frustrating as I like to keep my belongings clean, tidy and in good condition.
~ Price ~
This eau de parfum is available at Boots, Debenhams, House of Fraser and most other department stores.
It currently costs £67.00 for 50ml or £95.00 for 100ml on House of Fraser's website.
The fragrance is also available as an eau de toilette, which is a bit cheaper or a more pure parfum, which is a lot more expensive (£142.00 for 15ml).
~ Scent ~
This perfume is very strong.
The top notes are coriander, pomegranate blossom, mandarin orange, peach, jasmine and bulgarian rose.
The heart notes are mimose, cloves, orange blossom, clover and rose.
The base notes are labdanum, amber, sandalwood, tonka bean, opoponax, civet and vanilla.
It has a spicy scent. It is a little bit harsh, but it is not something I find offensive or too overpowering.
I am not normally a big fan of spicy scents, but I like this perfume. It is not one of my favourites, but it is something a bit different for me.
It is a very heavy perfume.
As well as the spicy notes, the perfume has an uplifting floral element to it and I can also detect the amber in it. There is also a light woodiness in the base.
It is a warming, sensual, mature scent and it is one I tend to wear as a night time scent rather than during the day. It is a bit strong and heavy for day time wear.
I think this perfume would probably be best suited to more mature women.
I have found that this perfume has fantastic staying power and it is still evident on my skin 12 hours application, which I am very pleased with. It also has great sillage. I can always smell it on myself.
I find that as it calms down and begins to wear off on my skin, I enjoy the scent more. It is lightly spiced and it has a clean woody scent to it, which I really like.
I would recommend this perfume, but I would not buy it as a gift unless the recipient had tried it first as I don't think it will be to everyone's taste. Read the complete review |
