Christian Dior Eau Savage for men is a classic, having been available and loved for many years both by men and, possibly more importantly, women who appreciate the scent on a man. The scent is fresh, with mainly a citrus note which may prove a little too sharp for some, but it is definately clean, not overpowering or clawing as some scents can be. It would suit a man of any age, but primarily says the young "man about town", professional, successful, dynamic and up to date. Of course, coming from the house of Dior it is never low priced, but Christian Diorīs consistent quality and well earned reputation will never be let down by Eau Savage. Some men who ... --- CHRISTIAN DIOR EAU SAUVAGE.--- Eau Sauvage Eau de Toilette comes in a rather nice bottle. It has swirly ridges around the glass bottle. To the middle it has a silver band with the Eau Sauvage written in black writing, along with the maker Christian Dior, Paris. To the reverse you have the weight of 50 ml and parfums Christian Dior Paris. Made in France. The lid is silver in a mottled effect, which is also on the silver band around the centre of the bottle. This is a good quality bottle, as you would expect from a top fashion house such as Christian Dior. Very distinctive, and it is a nice bottle to keep once the after shave has run out. Perfume bottles ... Read the complete review

In a man's lifetime, there are few occassions when he discovers something that he can associate with through his ages. One of those is a particular scent. In this case, we have Dior's Eau Sauvage, a virile and astonishgingly fresh cologne for men, first introduced to me by my Dad who wore it back when I was a child. Created in 1966, it has remained without a doubt, one of the most unique and refined gentleman's colognes around. Describing its olfactory impact is quite a task. It is at once both strikingly simple and remarkably complex. So lets start with the top notes, the things you smell the moment you open the lid and splash it on. Here we are ... I love a man who takes time out to smell good. Luckily I married one who will use and appreciates nice smellies. We grew up in the era when all their was for men was Old Spice, then came Brut, then Aramis which he used to wear, and every other bloke around used the same. Then I bought him eau savage, ooh lovely a real turn on, a very sensual, assertive but not an overpowering fragrance. Does not cross the boundary of masculine/feminine, it is definitely masculine. No question of don't you think it's a bit puffy (scuse spelling). This must be one of the most underrated aftershave/colognes around, but I don't mind, I like the old feller to smell ...
