However, for an average bloke this hits the right notes - it has a sandalwood base, and ginger overtones. It is more masculine than many other brands (notably CK which opt for more floral characteristics). The bottle is a work of art in itself: it is a beguiling fusion of orange and red glass which looks very smart on my dresser. The glass flows into itself like volcanic lava, p...more

Crowned Review Christian Dior: Fahrenheit, Eau de Toilette: Big Time Sensuality (3152 words)
by - written on 26/07/07 (Very useful, 883 readings)
Rating:

I first discovered Fahrenheit by Christian Dior when I was in my first year at university. A friend had recommended it and as such I had been a teenager when I first started wearing men’s fragrances, namely Jazz and Kouros by Yves Saint-Laurent. As such I wasn’t heavily into wearing aftershave until I hit my first year at university, so it made sense to shop around and check what was on offer at that time. Even when I think back to growing up at 17 and starting to shave, there weren’t a lot of unisexual fragrances out there and indeed I met plenty of girls who loved Fahrenheit for themselves, not just purely for men. Thus Fahrenheit is one of my favourite all ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review A rich sandalwood fragrance (179 words)

This is the first Dior eau de toilette I ever owned and it has not been the last. Although it is more expensive than many alternatives (currently selling for £49 per 100ml at Boots), the cost is reflected in the quality. Premium Review Christian Dior: Fahrenheit, Eau de Toilette: Cool Fahrenheit (157 words)
by - written on 11/11/08 (Very useful, 40 readings)
Rating:

A surefire bet as a welcome present, this is an elegant, rather sweet, spicy, warm scent. Not exactly cutting edge, perhaps it has become a little too familiar but it has earned its place as a classic mens fragrance. Nicely packaged in its distinctive tinted bottle, the Dior name gives an assurance of quality though you do feel that you are paying rather a lot for said name (but isn't that the case with all scents?) Lasting, it mellows rather than fades the moment it goes on. Like other scents that I associate with the 80's it has perhaps dated a little but it is not as overpowering as some. Comes in a range of products, Eau de Toilette, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review What a smell! (156 words)
by - written on 30/11/08 (Useful, 89 readings)
Rating:

Fahrenheit, what a classic and soft fragrance. My husband only uses this aftershave that must be in spray form! It costs him a fortune though and I do think its expensive but have to say, love the smell on him. Its quite a gentle fragrance, thats not over-powering.... no matter how much he sprays on, which is normally a lot! I do however find it very hard to purchase but have managed to track it down at [The Perfume shop] were they always do special prices and are most reasonably priced against boots and superdrug. This product is also available as a deodorant body spray and shower gel, so for you ladies that like your men to smell nice... this is a must have ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Christian Dior: Fahrenheit, Eau de Toilette: Fahrenheit (165 words)
by - written on 13/05/09 (Useful, 22 readings)
Rating:

Fahrenheit by christian dior is my favourite all time men's aftershave. My husband has been wearing this ever since we met and I loved his smell straight away. It is just gorgeous and has a rich woody smell to it which is strong but not over powering. The spray bottles are more expensive than the splash bottles but it is worth paying extra as it goes so much further in a spray form. Its really good value as even a tiny bottle can last around 3 months even when used frequently. It is easy to get hold of from chemists, supermarkets and various online retailers. Its one of those scents that will suit most people. The packaging is just a ...  Read the complete review
