I got this for my birthday the other week from my mummy because I am a lucky girl like that. Before I was wearing Chanel Coco Mademoiselle and to be honest I was stuck in a bit of a fragrance rut so I a happy to be out of it thanks to this beauty from Dior. With the Dior name, I think came a Dior price tag and I think this 100ml bottle will have cost about £50 which is a bit of a pocket 'ouch' but it is really nice, and perhaps you could save up your dooyoo points to get a cheque and then buy some! When I start to run low (probably not for ages but hey) I think I will have to adopt this strategy. Anyways, onto the product. It doesn't come in the box pictured anymore, mine came in a creamy textured box with a pink oval on it with the "forever and ever" name in gold, and then Dior at the bottom of the box, also in gold. On the bottom of the box there is some writing about what's in it and that is it flammable. The back of the box describes the scent as being "a fresh floral composition of freesia and jasmine notes, blended with Bulgarian Rose, creating a tender and delicate fragrance. Now, my nose just is not trained to pick out different sells like that and identify them but what it does tell me is that this perfume smells lovely. I think it has a sweet sell and it is floral but not overly so, it just, to me, sells quite like summer and I think that is really nice, I think it is more of a daytime/evening perfume rather than night time as in for clubbing etc as it is not really powerful enough and it is too delicate. Perfect for the day though and I will be wearing it every day during summer for sure. My boyfriend likes this smell and he was adamant I didn't change but replace the Chanel when that ran out but hey, we have both I would say, been converted. The bottle is simplistic when compared to some bottle out there now. It is a stocky thing with the same oval as on the box. It is clear glass and the liquid inside is pinky purple coloured. The stopper is clear plastic and around the pump spray there is some silver coloured detailing which looks like a string has been wrapped around and around. I think the bottle could be more girly but it works and it doesn't look horrible on my shelf. The only negative I would say is that the smell seems to wear off quite quickly, I would have liked it to come with a little thing to keep in my handbag too or something. I think that this is because it is an Eau do Toilette rather than Eau de Parfum which I would usually buy but this isn't really a problem, more of a little niggly thing. I think it is suitable for loads of people and is a young fragrance which could keep anyone feeling young!
Christian Dior: Forever and ever is the ultimate floral delicate scent. The packaging consists of a pink rectangular pink box, featuring colourful floral motifs and a picture of a woman, which defines the femininity of the scent. The bottle is quite simple its a rectangular shape made from pink frosted glass, with darker pink floral motifs on and the words Forever and ever: Dior. The actual scent is really fresh and floral with notes including freesia, ivy leaves, rose, water jasmine, geranium, almond blossoms, musk and vanilla. When sprayed the floral notes immediately hit you, but its not too overpowering, the scent is really fresh and clean. The fragrance is quite long lasting i would say a couple of sprays would last around 8-10 hours, and it isn't sticky when sprayed it nicely blends and settles into the skin. The fragrance can be bought from most larger fragrance branches including boots and debenhams, and online at amazon and fragrance net, on average a 50ml bottle can be bought for around £40-50, so it is quite expensive but i believe its worth the money because it lasts a long time. On a whole i would describe this scent as a floral fresh scent.
