Dior J'Adore Eau de Parfum
Advantages: Ok fragrance and widely available
Disadvantages: Quite pricey
his was one of the fragrances I would say was swayed towards asking Santa for due to the television advert and the sexy slim-line design of the bottle. That year, Santa did as he was asked and brought me a bottle.
The bottle is shaped a bit like a slim pear, wide at the bottom and thinner at the top. The glass is clear so I can clearly see the golden fragrance through. The lid is golden and topped with a nice glass bauble. The packaging is quite simple, just a plain white box with the product name detailed to the front, although quite basic, I think this again gives it a classy feel.
I received the EDP however this is also available in as a EDT, after recently buying a EDT of another fragrance and being disappointed with the strength, I will always now purchase perfume as it is a lot stronger and seems to hang around a lot longer.
Upon first spray, the fragrance smells slightly floral but with quite a sweet hint to it, although I am not fantastic at picking out individual notes in fragrances, I can definitely detect some citrus coming through. After a short while, the fresh rose starts emerge, offering a nice base for the fragrance. I find the fragrance light, refreshing and it has good staying power. In the morning, I normally just have a couple of sprays and at the end of the day; I can still detect the fragrance on my clothes. I do find the fragrance quite light and not sure if I would wear it for a night out on the town.
I would say the fragrance is suited to the 'older' lady, by older, I mean above 25 (so in no way OLD), but I would say there was no limit on the age. When I go away to our caravan with my parent, my mum always borrows some of the fragrance
The biggest downside for me of the fragrance is the cost, 30ml retails for around £47, 50ml for around £66 and 100ml for around £93 - When I think back over the fragrances I have owned through the years, it the most expensive. It is widely available, in places such as Debenhams, Boots etc and available online and in stores, it is very rare I have seen this fragrance on offer. In the same fragrance, there are also body milks and creams available, and towards Christmas, the fragrance is sometimes available in gift sets.
Overall, although I don't dislike this, it isn't one of my favourite fragrances so I don't think I will purchase again, this, along with the price tag means that I would give it 3 out of 5 stars.
Thanks for reading.
