Dior offer several fragrances for both men and women. The ladies are given a huge choice of collections including J'Adore, Poison and Addict to name a few. The first fragrance released by Dior, was in 1947 and took the apt title of Miss Dior. In 2005, its sister fragrance, Miss Dior Cherie was released. Created by John Galliano, Miss Dior Cherie was designed to appeal to a younger generation of Dior fans.

Miss Dior Cherie is classed as a chic and modern take on the classic Miss Dior Cherie. Whilst it promotes feminity, it also claims to respect innocence and is recommended for romantic use. Using the matching body products will allow you to build a longer lasting scent on the skin. The EDP offers a higher strength and depth in comparrison to the EDT.

*~*Design*~*

The EDP bottle takes form in a rectangular shape. My miniature bottle is almost identical to the full size bottle. Its thick glass is clear showing the delicate, peach tinted perfume inside. A clear, square lid comfortably sits on top of a dab hole (or spray) and is finished with a generous sized, silver box around its base. Silver writting is embossed on the front of the glass confirming the perfumes name.

Miss Dior Cherie EDP is classed as fruity and sweet offering itself to the younger wearer desiring independence.

*~*My Thoughts*~*

Whilst I have a desire for full size bottles of perfume (mainly due to the fact I got through it so quickly), I own several miniature sized bottles which I find ideal for popping into my handbag. I usually pick up my miniatures in job lots of ebay as often people receive sets and don't wish to use every perfume in the set and simply sell the ones they don't want.

Dior ranks highly in my "ultra expensive but so totally worth it" list! It is an expensive brand and one I class to be very luxurious and high quality. I know own several miniature bottles of Dior scents and one which I received recently, is Miss Dior Cherie. This perfume isn't new to me though. For the past 3 or 4 years, I have been admiring this perfume in department stores and have regularly been spotted spraying some in my local Boots store. So far, my fiance has yet to take the hint but I know he cannot afford it so I am making the most of my miniature bottle until such times that I can afford a full size bottle!

The bottle itself is perfectly constructed. It may appear rather plain to some with its straight edges and clear complexion but to me it is sophisticated and very couture. The colour of the perfume inside combined with that added silver bow, add a gorgeous and feminine appearance to what would be a boring but well made bottle. My miniature bottle takes up very little space in my bag and is a dab bottle allowing me to tip it gently upside down onto my wrist and neck. The spray dispenser on the the big bottle is more ideal though. Overall the bottle is very pretty and suits my personal tastes perfectly.

*~*Girly Sweetness*~*

From the day I first sampled Miss Dior Cherie in Boots, I was enveloped into a delicious aroma that stays with me even now. My first sniff of my mini bottle took me back to that Boots store and allowed me to relive that moment all over again like a first kiss. It may have been a long time ago but my desire for this scent has never left me and is stronger than it has ever been before.

Miss Dior Cherie takes onboard an unusual combination of fragrance notes which develop confidently on my skin allowing me to feel beautiful and confident about myself. As you may know, I am an avid fan of sweet and fruity scents and this is so generous in both aspects. The strength of the top notes are impressive and I can notice a higher concentration in comparrison to the EDT. It does overpower slightly but if you appreciate its attempts to provide a natural sweetness then you can handle this strength.

The initial scent is quickly reduced to produce a desirable set of top notes. Here I am treated to a bright and airy aroma. It is very fresh and immediately pulls me in. A generous sweet and exotic twist sweeps in and blends with a citrussy tangerine adding a subtle but detectable sweet undertone. The scent is blended to almost perfection if lacking a little in strength and I would have loved for the fruity notes to merge together more efficiently and produce a stronger scent.

The heart of Miss Dior Cherie is simply delightful and a true treat to be detected by my own nose and those near to me. It is distinctive and I can always detect if someone close to me is wearing this scent due to its impressive heart. The only other scent I can do this with is Angel so its scent clearly offers a lasting impression with my senses! Take a look at the notes and I know you will come to your own conclusion...do you consider it to be ultra sweet and heady sounding? Well I can confirm that you are half right. It is ultra sweet and almost to the point that it is on a completely different level from other sweet based perfumes but it offers so much more than one level of sweetness.

Whilst many scent hearts offer floral notes, Miss Dior Cherie is all about the sweetness with just a very, tender hint of jasmine added for good measure and to appeal to those who may consider the other notes to be too sweet to be worn. The heart offered here is perfectly formed. The main note I can detect is popcorn and it can be rather sickly when the heart notes emerge. Soon enough, the sickly popcorn is joined by a twist of smooth caramel and a sour hint of strawberry. These notes swirl around the popcorn taking the edge of it slightly but never masking its gorgeous sweetness. It is very unusual and unlike no other perfume I have sampled before. There is a gentle hint of woodiness about the heart which I didn't initially pick up on..almost like a burnt toffee aroma and its all very gourmant and dessert like.

The heart remains at a consistent and noticeable concentrate for 6-7hours and in the last hour, it gradually settles down to reveal a favourable base scent. The sweet notes from the heart never fully leave my skin and choose to hide behind the base notes offering a sweeping, sweet undertone. The base isn't too strong and offers a clean, powdery aroma which is made up of a classic, subtle patchouli and a gentle sweep of musk, It does sit close to the skin and despite being musk based, it remains feminine and beautiful. Miss Dior Cherie remains as a base on my skin for a further 2-3hours bringing the total wear time to around 9hours.

*~*Suitability*~*

Miss Dior Cherie is not for floral scent fans or for those who aren't too keen on sweet scents. Its fresh, feminine and is perfectly suited for younger ladies so it has been aimed well! I would say Dior have pinpointed romantic wear well as its scent will encapture your partner and providing they don't suffer from sweet allergies then this may appeal to them and as it settles, it will gently sweep around you both as you get closer. It is a bit heavy for hot weather but wearing on a cool evening as the sun goes down sounds ideal.

*~*Recommendation and Conclusion*~*

Only a tiny dab of Miss Dior Cherie EDP is needed for a lasting scent on my skin. I fully appreciate its sweetness and this has quickly become my favourite sweet scent up there with Clarins Par Amour Toujours. It is unusual but Dior have picked the scent notes well to allow them to combine and smell stunning but also be able to be picked up as individual notes on the skin.

Miss Dior Cherie is far from being cheap but it lasts so well that the price is so worth it. If you can get an online deal then go for it but certainly try it out in your local department store before you splash out. The bottle is beautiful for display purposes too and would make a gorgeous gift. The perfume is high quality in every way possible. I will keep this on my wish list for such time as I have spare money! My fiance particularly likes this scent on me and comments that it makes me smell sweet and gorgeous and that is a lot for him to say so it must be good!

I highly recommend this amazing perfume!
