This perfume is by Christina Aguilera and it is called 'By night'. The bottle is similar to Christina Aquilera's other perfume but has black lacy floral patterns around it.
I read somewhere that the bottle was supposed to represent a female body with black lace around her.
The name of the product suits the bottle as it is a seductive and sexy scent.
My personal experience and opinion
I think this product is great as it is affordable. I bought a 50ml bottle a few months back and i still have some left. The price i bought it for was very cheap as it was only about £15. The perfume is amazing for a night out. The perfume also smells like Dior's 'Hypnotic poison' as it smells expensive and high end, however, once again it is very affordable. Also, when using this product you do not need to use too much as the lasting power is very long.
The only problem with this perfume is that it isn't really something you would wear to work or in the morning as it is quite strong and only best suited to be worn in the night.
Overall I really like this perfume and the price is an added bonus!
I have never liked the idea of buying perfumes that certain celebrities have created. I think creating a signature perfume has become an increasingly popular way for well known famous people to cash in on their status. However, the degree of celebrity now means that we are seeing perfumes of questionable quality from little known reality stars and short-lived pop stars. There are stars with such bad reputations that I often wonder who it is that dare buy their perfume. I am not really a fan of Christina Aguilera. I am familiar with some of her music and have a lasting image of her performing the sassy hit 'Lady Marmalade'. I was given this perfume as a gift and would never have thought of buying it myself. Before using this I would have put Aguilera's perfume making venture down as a marketing ploy aimed at exploiting impressionable little girls and I wouldn't have thought the perfume was going to be any good at all.
The perfume comes boxed and as a 30ml or 1.0 fl. Oz. sized bottle. The box is pink and embossed with black flowers. The design of the bottle is exactly as I would have imagined when thinking about Aguilera's fashion style. Aguilera's public persona is sexy, sultry and sensual. The bottle design captures all of this. The glass itself it shaped like a woman's body with a apple-hipped bottom and a thinner curve where a woman's waist might be. The neck of the bottle is fitted with a black rose ribbon and band. You can actually remove this elastic band and possibly use it as a hair band. The bottle is shaded black at the top and becomes transparent at the bottom but there is an etching of black flowers over this part. The perfume liquid is also slightly red in colour so the whole thing looks very dark and mysterious. The bottle of the perfume is also a dark colour of grey and the plastic is shaped to look like a crystal. It's a very beautiful design which not only fully represents Aguilera but also fits with the name of the perfume 'By Night'.
The dispensing button is a standard one and is formed with black plastic to keep in with the night time theme. The spray pattern is quite limp and a fine cloud of mist is ejected. It's best to hold at about 9 inches away from where you want to apply. The mist is applied across a section of skin unless you hold the bottle closer.
The perfume is described as having heart notes of "vanilla flower, peach [and] may blossom" with top notes of "tangerine, apple, freesia [and] almond". Base notes include black vanilla. I would firstly describe the mood of the perfume as being very sensual and passionate. It embodies the essence of romance and sexuality. It makes you think of special nights with a loved one. The scent has an intoxicating effect on the brain. It makes me feel dreamy and full of desire. As for the particular notes it's hard to describe the blend as it is so unique and there is nothing comparable. There is a heavy veil of dark, earthy scents that make this feel very adult and enigmatic. Beneath that there is a sweet, alluring fruit and floral blend that identifies the most basic traits of femininity. I would say that peach and apple are the most detectable notes of this lively mix but they seem to be enhanced with a spicy potion that changes their potency.
I really love this perfume. It makes me feel like a woman when I wear it and it gives me confidence to walk down the street and feel sexy even if I'm wearing the perfume along with dirty old jeans and a baggy t-shirt! The perfume, like a lot of perfumes, changes in tone from when it's first applied to after it's been on for a few hours. Generally I like to re-apply this again through the day as it's not as long lasting as I would like it to be.
Other people have noticed me wearing this perfume and commented that it smells lovely, which pleases me and reassures me that it is powerful enough to make an impact on others. This is a perfume that I'm happy to have represent my character.
I was completely wrong about what I thought this perfume would be and I think the Aguilera team have done a great job in creating a high quality perfume for women. I would say that this perfume could appeal to any age but that perhaps it might be a little too heady for some younger teens. I think older women (late teens and older) will be able to appreciate the meaning and aura of the perfume better than younger teens who might ordinarily be the target consumer. I would definitely recommend this as a perfume to add to your collection as it is certainly unique and it is perfect for confidence boosting and for when you want to feel romantic.
You can buy this at perfume stores and places like chemist stores (including Boots). It's around £20 for 30mls and you can also buy a 50ml version.
*~*~* Why I Bought It *~*~*
I bought this perfume when I spotted it reduced on amazon. I bought it mainly because I liked the sound of it as the fragrance notes are mainly fruity. I also liked the look of the bottle.
*~*~* Price *~*~*
I paid £8 for my 30ml bottle of this perfume and the retail price is around the £20 mark, with a larger 50ml bottle retailing at an average of £30.
*~*~* The Bottle *~*~*
The bottle comes boxed. I really liked the look of the bottle in the picture shown on amazon but when it arrived I was disappointed by the size and it feels quite cheap and light rather than sturdy and good quality. The glass is black at the top and it merges in with the clear glass at the bottom with a flowery lace sort of design. The liquid inside is tinted pink. The bottle isn't the best quality wise, but I do like the design and shape of it as it looks elegant but cool.
*~*~ Fragrance Notes *~*~*
The top notes of this fragrance are all very fruity and sweet - there's redapple, pineapple, tangerine and rhubarb. Freesia is also included in the top notes. The heart notes are peach tree flower and may blossom and the base notes are amber, moss(?!?!?) vanilla and sandalwood.
*~*~* What Does It Actually Smell Like? *~*~*
This fragrance is described by Christina Aguilera as oriental, fruity, warm and provocative. Because I ordered my bottle of it online I wasn't sure what it would actually smell like but it sounded amazing and I couldn't wait to try it. As soon as the package arrived and I had unboxed it I squirted a little on my neck and both wrists.
It smelt lovely - sweet, fresh and light with a lovely flowery smell to it. It isn't as sweet as I was expecting really which I found a bit disappointing but it is still sweet, just not sickly sweet which I think most people will like anyway, but I am a big fan of really sickly sweet perfumes. I think the reason it isn't really sweet is the lack of vanilla, it is definitely noticeable but it is not as strong as I would of liked, and the fragrance doesn't really have much depth to it.
It is perfect for summer as it is a nice light, sweet, fruity fragrance but it isn't 'warm' as it is described in the product description and in my opinion it isn't a sexy fragrance, however I like that because its a little less sweet than most of the other celebrity perfumes that I have tried it is a little more mature rather than being best suited to a young teenager like most celeb perfumes are.
*~*~* My Overall Opinion *~*~*
This is an ideal summer fragrance - it's fresh, light and sweet with floral and fruity tones to it, but it lacks any depth and it is very generic. The lasting power isn't very good either and the fragrance is completely undetectable after around four to five hours of wear.
I have decided to give this perfume three out of five stars. It is not strong enough for me and it is not really what I expected, as it lacks the depth and warmth described in the product description.
Since I was quite fond to Christina Aguilera's first perfume I was really confident when buying this one.
The bottle is as it was with its predecessor very seductive looking with little black roses on it. The liquid is pink (or better rose) which gives the bottle even more sleek look. There is also a fabric flower under the cap. Very, very sexy looking on the shelf.
The scent reminds me a little of the regular Aguilera perfume (as it probably should) with the difference being (amongst others) that this one has a bit stronger smell and a bit sweeter. It still has a more gentle scent compared to some other evening perfumes but that's just the way I like it. It is perfect, it will be noticed by people because of it's lovely gentle scent. It is also quite long-lasting but if you are going to be out till the morning hours taking the bottle with you to refresh your scent might be a good idea.
The fragrance notes are: mandarin, freesia, rhubarb, peach blossom, pineapple, heliotrope, vanilla, moss and sandalwood.
The scent is in my description sweet, warm and soft yet strong. After I apply it on my skin the scent stays the same as it is in the bottle which I really like (true you should test it on your skin, since the scent can develop differently)
It comes at a reasonable price to, so there really is no reason why one would not be buying this one.
==Christina Aguilera - By Night Eau De Toilette==
I have to admit to feeling rather upset if I do not have a nice large selection of perfumes on my dressing table to choose from and for that reason alone I make sure I keep topped up on buying them especially when I can get them on some sort of special offer.
I had previously tried the first Christina Aguilera fragrance "Woman" which I liked and therefore when I saw this bottle of "By Night" I thought that it was well worth trying especially as it had 1/3 money off of the recommended retail price. So I purchased a nice sized 50 ml bottle for a little bit over the £20 mark. The RRP is around £28 usually so a fair saving was made. This price is really pretty cheap when you look at other celebrity perfume bottles which contain 50 ml as they generally are quite a bit more expensive than this.
The design of the bottle is pretty nice and makes it stand out from all the other mounds of fragrances that are on sale in the chemists. The design of the bottle is what I would call rather feminine as it has a lovely hourglass shape which not only looks good but means it is comfortable to hold when squirting the scent onto my skin. The black colours blend well with the dusky pink colours that come through from the perfume inside the bottle. I like the black flower design which is printed on to the bottle as it gives it a slightly edgier look which is a little bit Gothic. On the whole not only does the bottle look good but it is also practice too.
The fragrance itself is something which I really like and I think I prefer it quite a lot to the original Christina Aguilera perfume that I tried. This particular aroma is definitely more suited to me and I can't believe I haven't tried it before as its not a new perfume and has been around for a long time. The perfume is similar to Black XS for women in the fact that it is both sweet and deep at the same time. The actual fragrance doesn't smell like Paco Rabane Black XS but it has the same sort of feel to it.
What you first notice when you spray a bit of this By Night Perfume is the top notes which centre around fruit and there is noticeably red apple, tangerine and the lightly floral scent of Freesia coming through. All of this gives is an appealing edible sweet aroma which is drawn together well with a nutty deepness that would be the almond essence which is not a major player in the aroma of the perfume but those with a fine nose will be able to pick it out. As the top notes fade away they are replaced by the heart notes of May blossom, vanilla and peach which again are fruity and floral but are gradually giving off a deeper scent and literally drawing you in to the fragrance and keeping you there. The vanilla is lighter than you would expect as is the peach but mixed together with the other notes they all seem to be working in a perfect sort of harmony. The final deep scents of the fragrance include black vanilla and the scent of Amber which leave that sexual fragrance lingering on the skin and give the whole fragrance a pull together and a depth which works really well.
The whole aroma of this Christine Aguilera By Night is something which I really like. It has the fruity, floral smell which makes it sweet and feminine whilst giving way to the deeper and more sexual type of scents such as the black vanilla and amber. These scents make the lasting impression on my clothes and skin and give the perfume a fairly long period of smelling strong. I can't say that it lasts all day on my skin but I can actually still notice the aroma on my clothes when getting undressed in the evening. Of course the scent has faded a lot but you definitely can still notice it.
This perfume seems to have such a lot going for it that I will be putting it on my Christmas list this coming year I should think. The 50 ml bottle is lasting me well as I rotate my perfumes and each application of this one only need a few sprays for a good amount of coverage. The fact that it goes a long way to lasting for most of the day means that re-application is not really necessary unless you are heading off out in the evening then I should think another couple of squirts will keep the scent noticeable.
The fragrance having a name such as By Night would suggest that the most suited time to be wearing this fragrance would be the evening time but I think that this really is not the case. It has a nice sensuous aroma which is fine for both day and evening wear and I personally have been wearing it any time I wish and find it is adequately fitting to all situations.
To conclude, I think that this perfume was one of my better perfume purchases. At the price I paid I feel that I was able to get a good deal of perfume for my money and that the bottle does do a good job at going a long way. The design of the bottle is both visually appealing and practice to use whilst standing out from its competitors. The fragrance itself has a good amount of dimensions that make it appealing to a wide spectrum of people and occasions to wear it. It is feminine in the right way while at the same time not being too young or aimed at girls. For all these reason I have to say that this is one of the better perfumes that I have purchased at such a good price in a very long time and I am happy to award a top score of 5 out of 5 stars.
I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you
Many thanks for taking the time to read.
Christina Aguilera By Night
The well-known pop singer Christina Aguilera released in 2007 her first fragrance on the market. The fragrance was a great success and became the best selling celebrity fragrance of the year 2007. She's obviously not the only celebrity who has her own perfume line. After this first one came the second perfume fragrance called Inspire and now her third fragrance, the successor called Christina Aguilera By Night.
The fragrance comes in an elegant bottle that goes from wide to narrow with being wide of the bottom and narrow at the top. The bottle itself is transparent, but the perfume has a pink color. The cap is a type of diamond with a black color. There is a picture of a black flower with underneath in elegant letters: Christina Aguilera, By Night.
The scent is very sweet and smells a bit fruity and has a floral mix. Therefore there are different flowers and vegetables to find in this fragrance, but also various herbs. Such as pineapple, red apple, mandarin and vanilla. And even more which I can't recognize all when smelling this, but I can definitely notice the flowers and fruit. It has a lovely sweet smell. I normally use 3 sprays which is enough for about 5 to 8 hours of smelling sweet. You do notice a big decline about that period until you can't even notice it anymore.
I am very pleased with this scent. Before I did used this one, I had always been a fan of her first scent: Christina Aguilera. When I heard that this came out of course I had to try it. And I'm very pleased. I like this smell even better than the previous one. I myself am a lover of sweet scents, but if you do not like this, then I would not recommend this for you. The price won't stop you since it costs 15 pounds. The smell will hang around for long time. I think this perfume is a real must and I think it's a perfect evening fragrance to wear.
This Christmas was the first time I wasn't living in my family home after in June me moving out and sharing a flat with a mate. This apparently made it very difficult indeed for my Mother to know what to get me Christmas pressie wise as usual (as she had informed me) she mooched through my things or we would go out together and she would buy the stuff I mentioned or looked at.
So, a lot of my gifts were things my Mum had chosen especially for me and I was delighted that she had bought me a fragrance and never having smelt this but smelling and liking a different Christina Aguilera fragrance I was really hoping I would love this and being chosen by my Mum for me made it a little bit extra special anyway and she really struggled to find a fragrance that was me and felt this was bless her!
The box the bottle comes in really is very pretty in a sort of trampy way really....its hard to explain lol. Dark red box with like a black fishnet stocking pattern over it and some black flowers we are told on the front of the box that it is indeed Christina Aguilera 'By Night' Eau De Parfum and that my particular size is 30ml. On the back of the box ingredients and contact details for P & G Prestige Beaute (the manufacturer of the product) are given. The bottle is prettier (in my opinion) and more simple looking than the box. It is slim, see-through glass which has small black flowers on the front of it and the neck of the bottle goes black from the clear and the perfume is a pink colour within it. It has a pretty black small rose to the neck of it too which can be removed and a dark grey plastic lid that simply and easily pulls off and on over the pump to spray black plastic push button sprayer. On the front of the bottle we are simply told again that it is Christina Aguilera By Night and on the bottom of the bottle the size is again stated as are the contact details for the manufacturer. I actually do like the box and bottle of this and the bottle inparticular is rather unusual being a two tone colour and so it does look pretty displayed on my dressing table!
The Fragrance Itself:
I half expected this perfume to be really strong just because its called by night but in my opinion that isn't true.
Characterised as oriental this is a spicy and fruity little number and not as in your face smell wise as you would think (or as I thought anyway lol).
This is a blend of tangerine, red apple, freesia and sweet almond. The heart of the scent is a sweet and warm vanilla, with a peach and blossom overtone. The base of the fragrance gives warmth through ambery notes and black vanilla.
Now like I stated earlier I really thought this was going to be really strong and me, well I like rich scents alike Jean Paul Gaultier and Obsession and so when my Mum initially smelt this she believed it was going to be as strong as I would appreciate.
However this is a well blended and relitelvely soft fragrance. When first sprayed on I thought it was rather strong and unusual with a well balanced fruity and floral tone and I could really smell the crisp and clean scent of apples within it. However I found this a little disapointing to be honest. Although initially strong enough, at least for a few minutes anyway that vanished really rather quickly and this is really very light on indeed and the only way I and my family could smell this was sniffing it up close and personal to which is the case I ask why would I bothher using it then?
Not particulary a night time scent but its ok. I like it but wouldn't choose to buy it because I don't want people to only smell my scent when up that close!
Not what I expected, a bit of a let down but not horrendous!
Expect to pay about £20.00 a bottle for the 30ml size and £27.00 for a 50ml size in all good chemists like Boots etc.

I don't tend to buy a lot of celebrity perfumes as I am always unsure if the quality is as good as I see them thinking more of the money rather than creating a great scent. However, when I came across this Christina Aguilera perfume in the sale at Boots, I couldn't resist picking it up as even if I didn't like it; I was getting it at sale price so it was no great loss. I had also always been interested in seeing what this perfume was like and if it was any good, so it was a good opportunity.
The bottle is a really pretty design for this perfume and is a very attractive design. The bottle is shaped almost like a body curving in the middle. It goes from black through to red and in the red area has the logo and the fragrance name which is nicely done. Around the top is a black band with a rose on it just as another finishing touch to really pretty up the design. It then has a black floral design across the bottle to really finish off the overall bottle.
On first smelling this perfume, it does smell quite heavily floral with a few sweeter hints to it. I had never tried this before buying it, so I did take a big risk but it is an ok smell. It is quite strong for my liking and isn't the most feminine smelling perfume which did annoy me slightly. I know being a night perfume, I did expect it to be quite heavy but on smelling this, I can even pickup on some what I would describe as fruity or tangy notes as well which don't seem to compliment the sweeter smells.
On looking up the official notes of the perfume, it was interesting to see what creates this unusual blend. I think upon first spray this perfume seems a lot stronger with tangy notes than after about five minutes of it having been sprayed. This makes a lot of sense when I noticed that the top notes features tangerine which is very apparent, it then has Red Apple, Almond and Freesia.
The heart notes of this scent are Vanilla Flower, Peach and May Blossom. These seem again a very contrasting mix as it is florals, mixed with fruit and sweeter notes which is why this scent is so hard to pin down and really decipher. Lastly, the base notes are created with Ambery Notes and Black Vanilla.
There seems to be a lot of vanilla notes in this scent which makes it seems quite sweet and bearable but the florals just add a something extra to the smell. However, the tangerine seems to be a bit overpowering with the vanilla and I think is possibly the note which ruins this scent in my opinion. The scent does seem to be quite obvious when on but sometimes when I got a whiff of it, I wasn't so keen.
I think this perfume is quite strong but I do agree that night is probably the best time to wear it. I never need to spray this that many times as it seems to stay on quite well. I don't seem to receive a lot of compliments when wearing this fragrance and have to say when it comes to choosing what perfume to wear that day I never tend to pick this up right away. It is a fragrance maybe more suited to a younger girl but is not really a sophisticated scent.
This fragrance costs £19.50 for the 30ml EDP, £26.50 for the 50ml and £36.50 for the 75ml. It also has a gift set for sale at £17.99 including the body lotion and bag. I purchased my perfume in Boots for £5 for the 30ml gift set in their sale which was an absolute bargain saving almost £13 so if you go in now the sale has started, you might be just as lucky. I have to be honest I don't think I would have paid full price for this fragrance.
This perfume is ok but in terms of would I buy it again, probably not as I hardly ever use it. I haven't tried any of Christina Aguilera's other perfumes but this doesn't tempt me to do so. This is a fragrance you will either love or hate but I suggest going into store and spraying first before purchase.
My sister in law was wearing a really nice perfume which turned out to be Chrisina Aguilera, By Night so of course I then had to buy it! - I bought the perfume and the matching body lotion. My intention is to wear them on my Wedding Day.
I love this perfume so much and I had been searching everywhere, (as all Brides to be know, everything to the last detail from beauty treatments to shoes has to be perfect)! This perfume is gorgeous and doesnt disappoint, it is not overpowering or too strong.
I would describe it as a modern femine perfume, probably aimed at teenagers - to younger / middle aged ladies. Its not something I would buy my gran and if any guys are reading this, I think it would also make a perfect gift to your wife or girlfriend.
I paid £26.50 for the large bottle at the Perfume Shop and I bought the smaller sized bottles as gifts for my Bridesmaids, I think Semi Chem / Gordons Chemist had this product on a promotion price a few weeks ago - it might be worth checking out.
I know a lot of people are instantly dismissive of celebrity perfumes, but I tend to judge each one individually. Since the earlier days of celebrity perfumes they've improved a lot in quality and manufacturers are always going to be spending a lot on perfume marketing whether there's a celebrity name attached to it or not.
Although I bought a couple of Christina Aguilera's CDs some years back, and do quite like a few of her songs, I wouldn't say I'm a fan. I came across this perfume a few months ago as part of several I tested in the shop, and was pleasantly surprised by it.
I tend to favour perfumes which have a fruity smell to them, and I tend to veer away from wholly floral scents (usually too old-smelling) or ones with woody notes (too masculine-smelling). At the same time, I like my perfume to stand out and smell a bit different, and Christina Aguilera's By Night hit all the right points for me.
The perfume is made up of:
Heart notes - Vanilla flower, peach and may blossom
Top notes - Tangerine, red apple, freesia and almond
Base notes - Ambery notes and black vanilla
I was quite surprised to learn that it had almond in, as this usually creates such a distinctive smell (possibly because it's not used too often) - but I couldn't pick it out. The mixture of fruits and florals is just right though, and the black vanilla sets it apart and makes it more distinctive than typical perfumes.
After smelling this perfume I was curious as to what Christina Aguilera's regular 'day' version of the perfume would smell like, but I was disappointed by it and can't even remember what it smelled like now - just a very vague 'meh' from me, as I was pretty indifferent to it! So it just goes to show you should smell every scent individually and not just assume you'll like both because they are from the same celebrity or brand.
The bottle is fairly attractive; it's skinny but curvy and has a spray of flowers in black on it, which makes it similar to Christina's day perfume. I don't particularly like the font her name is in, but I do like the black and pink toned colours of the bottle and perfume.
I would recommend this perfume probably up to about the age of 35, as some people might find it a little too young-smelling. It would make a great perfume to wear on a night out, but used in moderation it wouldn't be too bad for day time either. I would think it's too old for younger Christina fans though, and would say it makes a nice gift for around 15+. It's currently selling in The Perfume Shop for £19.50 for 30ml, or £26.50 for 50ml.
The official description of the perfume is, 'An expression of sensuality and femininity, the fragrance captures the experience of a woman pampering herself in anticipation of a special night, and was created to celebrate the moments when a woman wants to feel confident and glamorous.'
My description is 'Bloody nice', and that's all you need to know.
I will be the first to admit that I was disappointed with Christina Aguilera's second perfume, Inspire and it did put me off of buying any further perfumes from her range. I did not have any intention of purchasing her By Night fragrance which was released last year but I ended up being given it for Christmas.
With the By Night fragrance, Christina Aguilera went back the style of her original self titled perfume which was definately a good idea as I honestly think Inspire was a massive let down and should just be ignored in the most part as a perfume. By Night is available in three different sizes which are 30ml, 50ml and 75ml bottles. It is fairly priced and you are looking at paying between £19.50 and £36.50.
The perfume comes in a similar style box to her original perfume. It is a tall box and it is darkly coloured; it looks almost gothic with the colour choices. The majority of the box is a wine red colour with a fishnet tights looking design over the top. There are black flowers running over the top of that design and the black flowers overlap on to the middle of the box which is black in colour. In this middle part of the box are the words "Christina Aguilera" in the same wine red font as the rest of the box and "By Night" in white bold lettering. It is a nice box. It is gothic looking, it says that this perfume is something sexy and I was really excited to try it.
The bottle follows a similar pattern to the original perfume as well. The bottle is the same hour glass shape which is much like a woman's figure. It is a glass bottle and it has two different colours running through it. The top of the bottle is black which slowly fades as it reaches the middle to a dusky, rose pink. It reminds me of the sun setting. The two colours compliment each other beautifully. As the bottle turns to the pink colour, there is a trail of black flowers which end just above the writing on the bottle which state "Christina Aguilera" and "By Night" which are printed in black. Arond the neck of the bottle is a little black rose which I think is a very pretty and delicate touch. I think the black rose is a symbol as black roses are very rare and special, just like the woman wearing the perfume. The lid is a lighter black which allows you to see the black spray nozzle. I really like this bottle. I think it the perfect blend of being girly but mysterious at the same time. I like the gothic effect which I think is very sexy and allurring.
The scent is made up of the following notes: vanilla flower, peach, may blossom, tangerine, red apple, freesia, almond, black vanilla and amber. When I found out about the scent notes in this perfume I was impressed. It sounded as though it would be one of my perfect scents and when I tried it I was not disappointed at all.
It is a fruity blend which has hints of an oriental flavour to it. It is warm and intense but manages to remain sweet and sexy enough to be feminine. The first thing I can smell are the fruity scents - the tangerine, red apple and peach, all smelling beautiful and playful but as the scent settled down I could suddenly smell the playful scent being enveloped by almond and vanilla creating a very creamy, seductive finish. It is an absolutely stunning smell. The vanilla and the almond scents create an innocence to the fruity and playful scent notes which first hit you. It is the ultimate in seduction!
It is a very seductive scent which has hints of flirtiness. It is perfect for those dates or when you are trying to impress someone. I tend to use it as one of my seductive perfumes! The perfume is just the right amount of strength, it isn't too strong nor is it too weak. It is simply perfect. The staying power is okay. I find I get a good 4 hours out of it which isn't bad though obviously it could be better.
This perfume is definately better than Inspire and is right up there with Christina Aguilera's original perfume. Highly recommended.
There is only one disappointment to leaving my last job and that is the free perfume testers and samples!
I love perfume and usually wear light one in the day and a slight heavier one for special nights out.
I don't mind whether its a celebrity perfume or a brand just as long as it smells good and this is why I chose Christina Aguilera by night.
At first I had a sample on my skin and took away a sample on a card. After a few days I forgot and I couldn't work out the nice smell in my bag until I found the card and that was that off I went to buy one.
I believe it cost £20 for a 30ml which is quite expensive for the product itself as it has no lasting power at all!! This I find ridiculous. The difference between a EDT (eau de toilette) and EDP (eau de parfume) is that the EDP is more concentrated and therefore last a lot longer and you only need a few squirts. The 30ml bottle is half full and have had it only 2 months?!
This perfume comes in a box that matches the bottle, as you can see its rather pretty. The bottle I would say has a sexy female curve to it with a flower detail on the front of the bottle. On the neck of the bottle is a cute black flower that my daughter will love for her dolls when I have finished!
The smell however I find very feminine and sexy. I always go for a vanilla base perfume. This also has a fruity smell to it also. I believe the notes are vanilla, may, almond, peach, amberry, tangerine, apple, freesia and black vanilla, yum!
I would say it is a younger women's fragrance due to its sweet and fruity smell.
You can also buy a shower gel and a body lotion in this scent but I personally would say it is not worth the money. The quality is usually rubbish.
This deserves 3 out of 5 as it fails on strength and lasting power. I do hope this has been helpful and thank you for reading :-)
I am a bit of a sucker for celebrity perfumes these days and Christina Aguilera's 'By Night' Eau de Parfum is just one of the ones I own.
The perfume comes in a graduated black and pink glass bottle, with pretty black flowers and a little fake rose tied around the neck. I suppose the packaging could be either love or hate - I like it, but I admit that it could be seen as bordering on a little bit tarty and risque!
When I first sprayed a little 'By Night' onto my skin, the first thing I noticed was the very fruity aroma it produced, and I could smell peaches which I though was quite pleasant, as well as a slightly apply smell. There was also a citrussy smell which I really liked and it made the perfume smell refreshing and zingy.
After a while the perfume became more flora in nature but I couldn't pick out any really individual scents, other than a generally blossom-like quality.
After a couple of hours of wearing 'By Night', I noticed that the perfume became deeper in fragrance and had a more woody aroma to it. There was also a slightly sweeter note of vanilla coming through too, which was nice enough.
The staying power of this perfume, however, is not good. I was really disappointed that the nice fragrance disappeared almost completely under 2 hours after first spraying it. I couldn't even smell it right up close on my wrists 2 hours later, which is very poor I think.
This perfume, although nice in smell and suitable for daytime wear, is nice smelling, but the staying power is poor, so I can't really recommend this particular perfume.
A 30ml bottle of this perfume usually costs aroun £20, with the 50ml being around £27 and the 75ml bottle being around £37 in price. I'd shop around for a bargain online though as there are often discounts in online shops. There is also a 'By Night' shower gel and body lotion, and that might help the fragrance stay a bit longer. I have not tried these yet as I was disappointed enough with the perfume and didn't want to potentially waste more money.
Having initially bought this as a gift, its now a permanent fixture on the shelf of my bedroom and along with a few others has become the perfume of choice. Although usually avoiding celebrity endorsed perfumes, this one is surprisingly nice and a brand I would certainly recommend using.
The first think that you notice is the bottle. Its very stylish and trendy and looks nice on the toiletries shelf. The pink and black colour scheme works well and its well boxed so makes a good gift.
The important thing about the perfume itself is the fragrance. This is an odd fragrance in the sense that it smells far better after being left to settle on the wearer than it does when it originally comes out of the bottle. The smell is initially very overpowering and rather sweet and tangy. It will certainly get on your nosebuds!
However, once it settles on the wearer it becomes far more subtle but still very noticeable. And key for me is how long a perfume lasts and this last all night and beyond. Used as a perfume for going out on the town or for meals one or two squirts will easily last all night and beyond. Even in bed after a long night out the scent is still strong. It's a mild, fruity, feminine scent with a sweet touch.
A 30ml bottles is going to set you back around £20, thus making it competitively priced.
All in all for a general purpose perfume this does the job well!

If you are a fan of the sexy and evocative style of Christina Aguilera then you may have already tried this fragrance. Its a follow on to the Christina Aguilera scent, the racy looking floral body stocking adorned fragrance. Christina Aguilera By Night is a variation on that naughty but nice theme that might be worth considering.
Ok so we have all seen the first fragrance bottle and the Christina Aguilera By Night bottle is a very similar thing to the eye. When I first saw it I thought it was the other scent and didn't realize I was actually seeing something new.
It was really only the seductive deeper red and back box that made me think, hang on, its something different.
The bottle is tall and elegant with a curvaceous feel to it, very womanly in form. It has a graduated tone that shows the contents of the lush pink scent at the bottom and slithers towards a darker black smokey look at the top of the bottle.
As with the first bottle it does have a floral design stamped on to the mid section of the bottle and these dark alluring flowers are enhanced at the neck of the bottle with a small rosebud style ribbon deco.
The hype and type says that Christina Aguilera By Night is a new seductive blend of ingredients and that 'By night, its all you need to wear'.
I say! Well thats a big old claim, is it sultry and seductive enough to get away with that? It would need to be not just gorgeous smelling but have the pulling power of Marylin Monroe and the staying power and longevity of Madonna to be anywhere in that league!
Mmm.... Well, I can say that its a nice fragrance, which I slightly prefer to Christina Aguilera. It does have a dark and brooding sultry feel to it when you first spray it on and it is a delight to the senses. But in terms of how long it lasts on the skin, it doesn't seem to have the staying power of the likes of other sultry blends, like Amarni Code for Women or Guerlain Innsolence.
Christina Aguilera By Night is mean't to make you feel like a right royal glamour puss, a hollywood starlet, a pampered and confident woman who knows what she wants. I think that if the scent had been a little more long lasting and the underbelly of the sultry mix had been deeper and darker then it really could have made such claims.
The shame of it is, that you do need to take the bottle with you and top up the fragrance during the course of a night out.
Now there isn't much wrong with that if the price is right, as you don't feel that you are throwing away your pennies with every spray. So I always and I do mean always, with scents that need topping up, consider that when thinking about how much the scent ought to cost before I buy it again.
Christina Aguilera By Night includes a fruity mix of tangerine, juicy red apple and freesia florals, these are the tangy notes that are detectable, but soon fade.
Almond, sweet vanilla, peach and may flower blossom are mid notes and I feel that vanilla is something that does come through. Amber and black vanilla are the strong base of the scent and its those ingredients that should give the scent its longevity on the skin, but they do fade more quickly then they ought to.
I picked up my 30ml bottle of this fragrance at a bargain price of £16 in a perfume discount store. It was on offer there and so was well priced.
A 30ml bottle could cost anything up to £20, the 50ml size can be had for £23 to £26 and the 75ml size might set you back up to £36, but if you shop around it can be found for a little less.
You will enjoy the scent of this fragrance, its a nice blend and doesn't come across too sweetly, but factoring in the cost of all those top up sprays, means that I can only give it a 4 star rating.
