Advantages: Classic Fragrance!

This fragrance may be getting on a bit now but it's still one of my personal favourites! The fragrance from Calvin Klein was one of the first around, it was launched in 1994 and it's still popular to this very day.

Back in 94, Calvin Klein the famous American fashion designer launched his very own first fragrance, being this one CK ONE. After gaining sucess he proceeded with launching more fragrances, CK BE soon followed. These are two of the most well known fragrances from the designer. There are also others such as Contradiction, Eternity, Escape, Obsession and Truth.

At the present moment both CK ONE and CK BE are on a brilliant offer in Superdrug, hence why I've bought a new bottle and am writing about it now! For a 50ml bottle you usually pay around £20, you will find CK ONE and CK BE on offer for £10.95 in Superdrug stores at the present moment, superb or what!?

But what is the fragrance really like...

Well to begin with, this fragrance is designed for both male and female which is rather interesting, personally I find the smell too feminine for men but many men have been known for wearing this fragrance. I think men prefer the strong fragrances that they suit best. This little number isn't as strong as most other masculine fragrances. But each individual has different styles and taste!

The packaging is simple and original but comes across as rather stylish. The bottle comes in a beige, brick coloured box which is nothing special, the colour is quite dull but does come across rather posh. The box contains hardly any writing and lacks inspiration but as I mentioned everything is original and kept simple, it's the Calvin Klein way and style of presentation. If they changed their design and presentation now, things would all change for the designer brand.

The bottle itself is simalar, it is kept original. The glass is frosted and transparant and it has a
screw cap and sprayer which is
brilliant. When you first open up your box the bottle has a screw top lid which makes the bottle look classy. The sprayer is included in the box, when you screw this onto the bottle, you cannot put the lid back on top. This is handy though, you can use the sprayer when at home and then swap the sprayer to the lid if you wish to take the fragrance out, either for an evening or on holiday.

The lid and sprayer are silver, like the writing on the bottle, the frosted glass and silver shine make the bottle look like it's worth a lot, I like it. The 'CK' logo and 'CALVIN KLEIN' are all that is written on the front of the bottle ~ Everything is simply presented and made to look stylish and appropriate for a simple spray.

The ingredients are written on the back as well as extra information and the size of the bottle. Nothing much really!

The fragrance itself has a rather musky and suttle scent which makes it suitable for a unisex spray. The smell however is also found quite refreshing but not too strong which I like. If you smell deeply into the fragrance, you will sense a kinda fruity smell, this just adds to the refreshing smell but is suttle, not a heavy smell at all. It says on the CK One site that the fragrance is clean and pure and you have to be near the smell it well.

During the day time I wear deodrant and Body spray, sometimes a cheap perfume too. I tend to find myself wearing this fragrance when I go out or on special occasions, I hardly ever have to re-spray myself because the frangrance lasts. Like most frangrances under £40 the smell does not last forever but it has reasonable durability and I'm satisfied with how long it lasts.

The fragrances durability is one of the things that made this fragrance so popular along with the suttle, pleasant smell and the target market being unisex. The designer of the fragrance also inticed people into trying the fragrance.

Overall, I really like t
his frangrance, it is suitable for both sexes and has a pleasant smell. It is from a top designer and is a classy spray. It isn't cheap and not too exspensive, around the right price. This fragrance doesen't have much negative things to say about it at all! It has definitely done well for itself even if it is getting old. Thanks for reading, cheers.
