My husband bought me this perfume from Debenhams. He apparently smelt it on someone at work and thought it was lovely and went and bought it for me thinking i would love it. Unfortunately it isn't really a fragrance that I like.
This is an Eau De Toilette spray which has been around for quite a long time and is made by Clarins who also make a variety of beauty products. This is just one of their fragrances. Apparently this is intended as more of a skin fragrance than an all out perfume as it's more subtle so that is the kind of perfume I like as I don't like to smell too strong.
The bottle isn't very fancy and would be one I wouldn't pick up to try just because it doesn't stand out. It is rounded and red with a white lid and white writing. It looks quite old fashioned.
When you apply this the best way to do so is by putting it on your arms and then gently massaging it in. This will also help to moisturise and will not tint your skin so on a hot day you can still apply it like this. This will make it last on your skin for a full day.
Now the first thing I thought when I sprayed this was just how manly a smell it is! It smelt spicy to me and more like something my husband would wear than me so it didn't surprise me that he thought it was nice. Apparently the smell is of oranges and lemons, I couldn't pick them out for a while, it took about 20 minutes for the really heavy first spray to calm down and I was able to then pick out oranges but they weren't like juicy, sweet, mouth watering oranges, more like heavy, spicy ones.
This is not a fragrance that I particularly like. It does calm down after about 20 minutes and isn't very strong so I can see that it would make a lovely casual day fragrance for people but it's not the right smell for me, far too spicy and manly.
I can see why it would appeal to some but definitely not me.
I am a massive Clarins fan, my mother and Grandmother both swear by Clarins products and have amazing skin (so fingers crossed for my skin!).
Eau Dynamisante is a fragrance created by Clarins with the aim of providing revitalisation to the senses and an uplift to the wearer's day.
Where do I get it?
Any department store or online www.cheapsmells is always a good place to try for a bargain. The RRP is £27 for a 100ml bottle which is actually very good value for money and much cheaper than Chanel, Jo Malone or Christian Dior. You can also pay £35 for a 200ml bottle (so just £17.50 per 100ml bargain).
If, like me, you like to try before you buy most Clarins counters will be able to give you a free sample if you ask. Or if you are buying other Clarins goods and there is a "beauty bonus" time. A free gift if you purchase so many items this perfume is usually one of the freebies. You normally receive a 30 ml bottle free which is perfect for your handbag!
This comes in a lovely red glass bottle, you can see how much fragrance is inside so know when you are running out!
THe lid is a screw top so make sure that you do it up to avoid leakage all over your handbag. Also when putting it on be careful not to put on too much.
What is in it?
Clarins products are all made using natural ingrediants and are not tested on animals (an extra Dooyoo star from me for this).
The main ingrediants are 14 natural essential oils of plants including Lemon, Patchouli, White Thyme, Petit Grain and Rosemary. These essential oils were picked for their treatment properties, in aromatherapy they are used to revitalise and uplift.
This scent describes itself as a "treatment" perfume so as well as having a nice smell and providing a lift it tones and moisturises the skin. Therefore the clever chemists have added Ginseng, Eleutherocoque and Harpagophytum to tone the skin and also Aloe and Ispaghul to provide moisture.
Well that is what the package says but does it work and does it smell good?
I love the scent of this perfume. It is a very hard one to describe - it is a very light scent. If you accidently pour too much on you will not be suffocating everyone in the area but it is a long lasting scent. Put it on after a shower / bath when your pores are open and you will remain beautifully fragranced all day. The scent is part floral (but not overly so it doesnt have the cloying sweetness of some fruity perfumes). It is also part herb which counteracts much of the sweetness. There is a hint of musk but again not too much. Overall I find the scent extremely balanced.
Where should I wear it?
The bottle says all over the body but I tend to stick to my pulse points on the wrist and neck.
Does it work?
Being honest here I don't notice that my skin is massively toned and moisturised when I wear this product but it certainly doesn't dry my skin out either. The scent is lovely and I always find that the scent does give me a boost.
I would think that if you are a total sceptic of aromatherapy that you would probably not notice a boost to your mood but if, like me you are open to these things then I think it works a bit! That said, after a really rough night when my son woke up 5 times and I feel like death warmed up putting some of this on does make me feel a bit more human. Certainly the scent provides a bit of a boost but also wearing perfume makes you feel better anyway!
Overall - I would not believe all the blurb on the side of the product BUT this is a lovely scent and I think it provides me with a bit of an uplift. It is also a reasonably priced perfume so I would definitely recommend it.
Like freshly cut grass Clarins Eau Dynamisante Eau de Toilette is one of my favourite scents of summer. Fresh, clean and uplifting it never fails to put me in a happy mood. It's light enough to wear all day and my husband has never once complained about it being overwhelming or sickly (not something that can be said for other fragrances I've tried.)
It's light enough to spray liberally all over the body and one bottle can last me all summer. I even carry a smaller one in my handbag - great for those sticky days.
It's also one of those scents that isn't overpowering to wear - you know how some can get a bit much over the course of a day? Well I never tire of the smell of Eau Dynamisante - no matter how long I've had it on.
The bottle's pretty and clean looking too. I know Clarins can sometimes be a bit expensive but if you shop around you can usually get it cheaper - especially online .
My bathtime wouldn't be complete without Eau Dynamisante! I adore the scent. Unlike a lot of perfumes that can smell artificial and slightly over-powering, this smells clean and fresh and is completely uplifting. It contains plant extracts to hydrate and soften your skin so it's more than just a fragrance, it's a body treatment too and leaves your skin feeling soft and supple. It's quite an unusual smell and very inoffensive. If you're into heavy floral or musky scents it may not be for you, but it's very fresh. You won't offend your work colleagues by over-powering them with a heavy haze of musk! I usually use it after a bath in the evenings as it really helps me to unwind and I never feel the need to wash it off before going to bed. The packaging is classically "Clarins", the bold, red glass bottle is simple, uncomplicated and elegant. It's very reasonable, mine was around £25 for a gift box which contained a shower gel, so I don't feel guilty about spraying it all over - it won't break the bank! In a nutshell, I would say it makes you feel great inside and out!
What a beautiful fragrance! I have struggled for many years with perfume. Despite loving it, I was never able to find one I didn't have an allergic reaction to....itching, hives, sneezing, you name it, the perfume did it! Not to mention the pounding headaches! But this is different, a fragrance so fresh and clean I have NO reaction at all. I would definitely recommend it to any ladies out there who are sensitive to perfumes. It is well priced, and well packaged, versatile for many occasions. It is such a light fragrance it is perfect for day wear, but is also great on balmy summer evenings. My bottle came in a gift set, but it is available in a number of sizes. Any girl would love this perfume, so boys, if you are looking for a gift for a loved one, I'd say this is it...bound to suit everyone. Perfect.
Clarins products are luxurious and expensive but I was lucky enough to receive this fragrance as a gift with other samples.
Made with plant extracts, this is a really pleasant and re-vitalising product. Clarins state that it vitalises, and tones the skin whilst leaving it lightly scented, soft and moisturised. Something that ordinary fragrances don't achieve, so this is unique. Other unusual fact is that it can be used by both men and women, the fragrance isn't overpowering, and one I am happy to wear during the day and know it won't offend other people, how I hated colleagues wearing strong perfumes some of which could cause a migraine !
My bottle is small but perfectly formed, just 30mls, usually it would be a 100mls size bottle. The bottle is deep red , but you can see through it and see how much fragrance is left, the top is white plastic with a gold trim and Clarins name is on the top of the capin raised letters. The only other difference is my bottle isn't a spray like the larger bottles but is a splash on bottle.
Clarins being a French company on the front of the bottle it says Fraîcheur, fermeté and vitalité.
Normally I would splash on the fragrance on my wrists and neck and near my ears, points that benefit from the fragrance. It is quite strong to begin with but after a few minutes settles down and the fragrance changes. Splash it on after a shower when your pores are open can give a better result I find.
I have used this on my forehead if I've had a headache before taking paracetamol in the hopes it will re-vitalise me, and sometimes it works !
The fragrance is one I find hard to describe, it contains Lemon, Ginseng, Rosemary, Orange, Caraway, Thyme and Patchouli. So fresh fruity citrus scents with herbs, sounds like the stuffing for the Christmas turkey ! I splash it on and rub it in a little something I wouldn't normally do with perfume, but it is absorbed or evaporates really quickly leaving my skin soft and smelling delicious. I confess when I wear this I keep sniffing my wrist and can still smell the fragrance several hours later.
This is one product that can be safely worn in the sun as it has a photosensitising formula.
Cost - well mine was in a gift collection, but it can be as much as £32 for a 100ml bottle although if you search the internet it can be as low as £20.49! Overall I would recommend this for someone wanting a light perfume, that has added benefits and likes natural products.
As a big Clarins user, it was only a matter of time until I started to discover their fragrances.
Clarins claim this is not only a fragrance but a treatment also. I am not 100% sure of the claims of this but I have to say as a fragrance I love it.
It is a fresh, herbal scent, but I can smell the lemon and patchouli in it. At first I found it to be a little 'masculine' but after you have been wearing it for a few minutes it softens. I don't think the fragrance has a particular 'age' to it, my young neice of 18 wears it and loves it to, and I am a 41 year old mum of 3. You can splash it on all over as required if you wish, but I would be worried that this may be a little overpowering from people around you. A little dab to the usual pulse points is usually enough to suffice. The aroma is uplifting and lasts for hours.
One good thing about it is I use it on holiday in warmer climates as is is non photosensitising, and doesn't 'turn' like some other perfumes I have used
~ CLARINS EAU DYNAMISANTE ~
Clarins Eau Dynamisante is a rather unique Eau de Toilette. I tend to go for the much lighter perfume normally, but this was a gift, and you know what they say...Don't look a gift horse...ahem...
Eau Dynamisante is presented in a clear, deep, ruby red bottle, rather masculine in appearance, but expensive looking and sturdy. To the top you have a white lid with the word Clarins raised in gold to the top, and gold banded to the bottom of the lid. The contents is 100 ml/3.4 FL.OZ. 77%VOL.
Now this is rather an unusual fragrance, being both a perfume, and a skin treatment. It contains plant extracts to soften, energise, and hydrate the skin. It also firms, tones, and revitalises.
This is quite an innovative range, and all the essential oils contained within this fragrance have beneficial effects on the skin, as proven in trials, and Clarins have carefully selected plant extracts such as, Ginseng, Harpagophytum, and aloe, which are all non-fragrant. The ginseng has properties to tone the skin, and the aloe moisturises and softens. The Harpagophytum has properties that Regenerates the skin, and Eau Dynamisante also contains horsetail, and zinzimber, which stimulate the skin. As this is a natural fragrance you can actually blend this with other perfumes, and it also has a photosensitising formula so it can be safely worn in the sun.
The best way to apply this fragrance is to spray it all over the body and gently massage the Eau de Toilette into the skin. This product is great to use after exercise, when the skins pores are open, and receptive. You will really feel the benefit then, as the fragrance is really fresh and vital. It also promotes a feeling of well being. Eau Dynamisante is a truly unique formula.
As a result of it's gender neutral scent, this makes it ideal as a unisex fragrance. Clarins beauty products are excellent, and I really didn't know too much about them before I visited their website. I was very impressed with their range of products on offer, I think I shall be trying out a few of their items. I like the natural ingredients they use in their range of beauty products.
The fragrance of the Eau Dynamisante is an unusual one. On spraying it is immediately lemony and lively, coming through after the initial strength of lemon is a woody fragrance with a hint of patchouli. It is a very uplifting fragrance, awakening, fresh, not unlike a cologne. The great thing about this Eau De Toilette is that it is not only a fragrance, but a body firming oil also. Packed full of plant extracts, and essential oils this makes for a very interesting fragrance experience. -

Thank you for reading
Scent is one of the most personal things to us. Hands up those who fell under the spell of Poison in the 80s??? :) Some of us gagged, others practically bathed in the stuff. Some of us like spicy, woody, oriental perfumes. Others prefer lighter, floral scents. I am partial to different fragrance families on different days (and moods!) but I have to say I always come back to Eau Dynamisante. It's the only bottle I ever finish and go back for time and time again. It is unbelievably light, lemony (in a nice way, not in a Glade way) with a hint of lovely, woody patchouli underneath. Mmmmmmm. The bottle is not the most feminine or alluring you will see. It is big, chunky and RED. There is a point to this. Eau Dynamisante is more than a fragrance, it is a body treatment too. It firms, soothes and uplifts the skin - hence you're supposed to rub it in gently if you're so inclined, not just spray it on. Equally, it's awakening, uplifting blend of citrus and woody scents can be unisex. I've never smelled a man cloaked in Eau D, but maybe that's just as well... can spray it all over, as it is not parfum you don't have to worry about knocking over pedestrians with your scent. I have yet to meet anyone who hasn't commented favourably about the scent whenever I'm wearing it. IT'S GOOOORGEOUS!! If you like fresh, fruity, clean smells that is. It is maybe more of a summer fragrance, or even when you're wanting your mood lifted. One summertime bonus is, unlike most scents, you can go out in the sun with Eau Dynamisante on and not worry about it reacting badly with the sun's rays, like most perfumes do. Hurrah!! It's also very reasonable for such a beautiful, plant-and-essential-oil-based scent; it starts around £20 for 100ml and is widely available. Clarins are very receptive to feedback and encourage you to send them your comments on their products, via a leaflet ins
ide every package. I think this level of customer care from a high-end beauty house is very commendable too. :)
I heard about Eau Dynamisante through variuos beauty magazines raving about lots of A-list celebrities uing it. Cat dealing uses the shower gel, Andrea Corr and Denise Van Outen love the perfume. So last year when Christmas came I got my boyfriend to buy me a gift set complete with a moisturiser, Eau De Toilette Spray and a shower gel. The packaging is red and white, typical of clarins (I dont know what the picture is accompanying this, but the perfume is in a red bottle. I think the packaging is nice, if a little dated, but the perfume bottle looks nice on my dressing table. I have to get to the point here..........it smells quite horrible..Is it actually possible anyone can like it? The shower gel is not too overpowering and does soften up the skin, but so does any showegel really.. The moisturiser....well I dont know, I can bearly spray it on a single area....I am certainly not going to slather it on my body, so it sinks in and lingers for hours... yuck.... The smell is very potent. It is so strong, you can suffer from headaches. Why so strong?? However it does fade, but it still has that powdery heavey eighties smell. What does it smell like...its not fruity or floral...It herbal..yes thats it. The smell is exact to the one I get entering my local Indian restaurnant. It is their air freshner I'm sure. It has a high alcohol scent in it, that you will smell faintly. When my little sister comes around she is always trying on perfume, I am such a B***H, I give it to her to use, otherwise it would never get used. Even she isnt keen, she wears So? and all those pre-teen brands. But next time I will give it to her!!!! It has been discribed as a fragrance for daytime, no way it is far to overpowering for day, definately night. No one has ever commented on it good or bad. Although I have only worn it about three times. Oh and thats not out of choice, I just have to use it somehow. One good thing is that it is unis
ex (I think) well it ought to be......which probably explains why is smells like Lynx, because thats about all guys will wear. I would discribe it as being masculine, as it is not the least bit feminine, it would bbe perfect for a guy, but I wouldnt go near one in it....... Reasons for buying it......your granny would like it. You get a lot for your money on a cheap price. Its unisex so you can buy it for a couple (saves you buying two pressies....) Maybe you actually like it????? The perfume is good value for money, only because you get 100ml for £18.00, but thats it.
I love Eau de Dynamisante and reguarly buy it for myself and also for friends and family. it seems to be a fragrance that most people (men and women) like and because it not only scents the skin but also helps to tone it and is seen as a treatment as well which I have found people like. It comes in a red glass bottle but is slightly big to carry to work in my make-up bag so I only tend to wear it at the weekends (it comes into it's own in the summer as it doesn't change smell in the sun as it is made from natural products). If you want the scent to last you are probably better off layering it with other products in the range - I have been bought the body exfoliator as a present which is divine and this is hightly scented. I have also found that my boyfriend likes to wear this scent and it is Marketed for both men and women. This is a true classic.
I was recently given a gift set of clarins Eau Dynamisante,It contained perfume, moisturizing body lotion, shampoo and body exfoliator. This all came complete with a toiletrie bag-A very nice gift.Although i was rather impressed with the packaging i wasn't too chuffed with the smell. It reminded me of an old woman's perfume. It was very strong and when using all products combined i found it too overpowering and made me feel queezy. The exfoliator had a nice consistency and felt lovely on the skin but still the smell was too much. If you like fairly strong perfumes this one may suit you but for me it was just too strong. If you get a set like i was given it would make a nice christmas present!!!!
Clarins eau Dynamisante reange has one of the most distinctive scents which captures the summer perfectly. It is a slightly sweet and fruity fragrance which conjures up thoughts of hot summer days. It is perfect for daytime and evening use. There are many products including perfume (which is not alcohol based so you can wear it all day in the sun without any worries), body lotion and a wonderful foaming shower/bath mousse (which really needs to be experienced) so this allows you to build up the scent in layers. The products claim to give your freshness, firmness and vitality and this really is true. I have noticed that a spray of the perfume really does seem to wake you up, giving you a feeling of energy. Clarins customer service is really excellent so pop down to your local Clarins outlet (often in the house of fraser) and they will be happy to provide you with product testers and more often than not a free sample. This fragrace is one that you will never forget. ****** Update ******** Whilst shopping on Saturday I noticed that Clarins have added a shampoo to this range - expect a new review after Christmas!
Eau Dynamisante is truly unique / it is the very first body fragrance that also benefits your skin / It combines the fragrant and treatment actions of plant extracts to hydrate, soften and energize the entire body /
