I have a cupboard with a few Clarins products so I probably qualify as a fan already. I love the natural scents though I know that some can be a bit strong. I use this regularly and love it. It has a refreshing clear scent that smells very natural and light
A good scent in a pretty blue glass bottle- I've used it and love it.
Clarins is a French company that has been going for over 60 years. It sells products for both women and men (under the brand clarins men). The range is available from a number of department stores including John Lewis - who also have a (very nice) Clarins spa in some stores. their tag line is "the secrets of plants" and this very much comes out in their products.
This scent can be used in a mix and match way with other products in the Clarins range. It is sometimes sold in gift packs with Clarins bath and shower milk and body cream. They also have a deodorant in the same scent- Eau ressourcant doux deodorant. I often find it a bit frustrating when my scent and deodorant don't match so its nice to see that Clarins have thought of this.
The bottle and packaging
This product comes in a nice blue glass bottle which looks great in the bathroom. It has a wide base from right to left but is reasonable narrow so fits nicely on the shallow shelves in my bathroom. The lid is white plastic with a pleasing chrome coloured stripe which adds a bit of glam to the packaging. Underneath it has a chrome coloured spray nozzle. This dispenses with a pleasing wide and gentle spray which means that your scent is nice and evenly distributed.
The scent is quite sweet and light. For me its very much a daytime scent and does last all day. Clarins say it contains "Essential oils of Basil, Iris, Cedarwood and Sarsaparilla". The aroma is aimed at creating a feeling of relaxation. It is a pleasant scent and although I'm not sure if it can really take away all my stresses of the day, it does give a lovely fresh feeling when you put it on.
With the relaxing properties it aims to provide, this is definitely a relax at home scent. As I said I'm not convinced that it will take away all my stresses of the day - I use it when I'm home for the weekend and fancy a bit of pampering
Prices vary but this seems to retail for over £25. Its not a cheap product. I've used my bottle reasonable sparingly and it has lasted me a year (just).
I'd recommend this as a lovely gift for someone who needs a little pampering and has to take it a bit easy. It is light enough scent for someone who perhaps isn't dashing about and is taking some recuperation time.
