Clinique Happy is simply the best perfume I have ever tried. It is very fragrant and gives an very attrictive aroma. I think it is a modern and fresh aroma. I think this perfume primarily appeals to the younger segment. Generally, the fragrance stays the entire day. Based on that I think the correlation between price and quality is resonable.
I have experienced that the girls really like Clinique Happy. They say that it is a very attractive perfume and that it sends sensual siganls. Nobody have ever given be some negative comments - they all love it.
Besides the fragrent aroma, Im also satisfied with the appearance of the product. Its has an original and modern look which again appeals to a modern and attractice man. The color is orange which is very original. The top consists of a classic silver colored lid which gives the product a muscular touch. I think it is cool that the manufacturer plays with this risky color since it is not a traditional boy color. It will definitely decorative your bathroom shelf and your girlfriend will certainly be happy.
Overall, it is a great perfume which is a must have in a modern mans perfume collection.
There are also other products related to the Clinique Happy Brand. I have also used the deo spray which also is a very nice product. It is a sensible alternative to the more expensive perfume. The fragrance from the deo spray also stays for all time. You can easily use the deo spray on daily base and add perfume to party. I also prever to use the products at the same time. Im really happy with both products and I can certainly recommend other Clinique Happy products.
The interesting facts behind the names of the different perfumes are as follows: Eau de Toilette is a mixture which combined round 1-6% perfume concentrates with water and other liquids, creating a scent which doesn't stay around as long as other fragrances (it won't linger). Eau de Parfum is the more powerful alternative, with 7-15% concentrates making it last longer and smell stronger (this, the more preferred perfume). Eau de Cologne on the other hand, the type connected with this particular brand of fragrance, 'Clinique Happy For Men', is a concoction which is slightly lighter than the latter and is by definition mixed with citrus oils (made popular by Napoleon!).
Clinique have created a lovely refreshing fragrance here. The container with which it is found is filled to the top with the stuff (which comes as a surprise after the last batch of a different brand I received previously). The smell tingles your nose, it has an orangey, citrusy texture and scent, which by definition it should. When out of the bottle and applied to your person, the smell spreads out and almost intensifies, like it has been released from the restraint with which is began. When applied, it feels like it's glimmering against your skin, but this feeling slowly fades and is something I experience with all fragrance products. The smell (though gradually fading) lasts I'd say 3 - 5 hours which is the perfect length of time when embarking on a night out. Combined with a quick spray of deodorant under each arm, you will smell splendid for the entirety.
The fragrances surround, an orange tinted glass shaped oval with a metal looking (but in fact good quality plastic) lid, looks quite basic and is definitely more suited to a male audience than a female (as it should). When you take the lid off, there is a metal cap which covers the glass container below, but this cap is open 100% of the time. There is no spray top which I was quite annoyed about, solely because it makes it difficult to apply to your neck. You have to lean the whole product back against your skin and make sure the right amount trickles from the container. Upon the glass is scribed the products name and at the bottom, 'AFTER SHAVE' and 'APRES-RASAGE'. I presume this is the French for after shave, as there is an apostrophe over the first E.
On the bottom of the glass container is a silver sticker with some information about the products manufacture. 'Clinique Labs Dist. New York. London. Paris. Made in the UK' amongst a few other words and letters. The bottle contains 100 ml of liquid, or 3.4 fluid ounces. This is enough to last well over a year is applied once every two days or so - that's the level or frequency I tend to apply it.
I would definitely recommend this product for any man or lad in need of a relatively strong, noticeable fragrance which lasts a long time and can be reapplied for over a year before running out. I have had some complements and a few people have asked what the smell was and how they too could purchase it - That's got to be a good sign!
I love this fragrance. I think the most apt thing I can say about it is that is is just endlessly appropriate. It suits everything. It's incredibly fresh and seems to adapt well to more spring/ summer events, but lasts well and stays in fabrics in such a great way that it really works all year round. I was first bought this as a gift, and was initially sceptical of this "women's brand perfume", but after trying it on and starting to receive a bevy of compliments, I began to see quite how great it is. It's so unique by comparison to other men's fragrances and wears as well with a pair of shorts as it does with a suit that I've made my way through literally bottles of it in just a few short years, of course this is a matter of opinion, as is any perfume review, but I doubt there are many for whom a light, floral, citrusy and yet genuinely masculine fragrance won't work.
I bought my husband this 'Clinique Happy eau de cologne' for his birthday as he has had it previously and really liked it. It costs around £28.50 for a 50ml bottle from boots and around £40 for a 100ml bottle but prices will vary slightly depending on where it is bought, although not a lot of places do sell this. It is rather expensive so I usually only buy it for my husband for his birthday or christmas.
The bottle is orange but you can see through it to the liquid inside so it is easy to see when you are running out. With the bottle being orange I think it ties in nicely with the title of this scent as in my opinion orange is a cheerful and happy colour so this helps enforce the title. The lid is silver and is easy to take off and put on so you don't need to stand for ages trying to force the lid on which I have had to do with some of my perfumes!
The scent of this cologne is very fresh with hints of citrus. Notes such as orange, mandarin and grapefruit help to emphasis the citrus scents. Other notes which help emphasis the fresh and citrus aroma are lemon and cedar. This is my husbands favourite aftershave at the moment and has been for some time now. He particularly likes the fresh and youthful scents which can be smelt once sprayed. Only two or three sprays are required for the cologne to be smelt nicely from yourself. The scent lasts for hours unlike some others which seem to fade away in an hour or two so I think this definitely makes this worth the money as it lasts longer due to you not needing to apply as much, although men don't really tend to keep applying a scent unlike a lot of women who always carry there perfume with them in their bags.
I would definitely recommend this aftershave to all men, infact everyone as it is a great gift to buy your loved one as it will put a smile on there face due to the lovely fresh yet masculine scent.
Clinique is a brand mostly known for its skincare products and I had my first experience with the brand with the product Clinique City Block. This is a facial care product but at the same time it protects you from the sun throughout the day. A good combination. The Clinique brand belongs under the Estee Lauder Corporation and was founded in 1968 with the first allergy-free care products. Since then it has continue to produce more and more allergy free care products like fragrances and soap.
Clinique's chemistry is one of my favorite fragrances but I do like to try out different kind of fragrances and I was quiet curious to give this fragrance from Clinique a try, also due it's name. Clinique Happy comes for women and men and for the men you have a 50 ml or 100 ml bottle. The bottle comes in a very bright orange and has a silver lid. It's very easy to use and the spray does what it suppose to do and gives a nice little spray. I often spray myself around 2 or 3 times and that should be enough for the whole day.
I think the smell is very sweet but also fresh with a little bit of citrus and therefore it's not only a manly smell because it smells fruity which I think also women can easily wear it. It's certainly a fresh clean smell and not overpowering when you apply it which makes it very enjoyable.
I would definitely recommend this fragrance but I don't see it as my favorite because it's a little bit to fruity and sweet for me. It is a very fresh and clean smell which makes it perfect for the summer and it last all day so no problems there. The fragrance is not overpowering and therefore I think it's also a more during the day fragrance. Definitely worth buying if you are looking for a perfect nice summer fragrance.
I first remember getting this fragrance about 10 years ago, not long after it first came out in the UK.
I can remember smelling it, in one of those magazines, you know where you pull open the page and you the smell just hits you.
The first thing that you'll notice about Clinique "Happy" is it's fruity zesty smell, its very sweet and almost tangy and seems very uplifting hence the name "Happy".
Once you actually wear the fragrance you'll notice yourself becoming aware of how fruity, and almost "orangie" you smell, I personally found this to be quite a confidence booster, certainly when out and about in public!
The smell itself is relatively subtle, and fades becoming smoother and more rounded after a few short hours.
The scent is very clean, it lack any musk, or any real richness, its base is formed largely as I say through its fruitiness, energy and vitality. If ever there was a fragrance to wake you up in the morning then this was it.
Despite never, having bought a fragrance from Clinique before, I am "happy" (lol) to
highly recommend "Clinique Happy" .
I'm a big fan of Clinique's products for men, they do what they are designed for with the minimum of fuss. Clinique's chemistry is also my favorite cologne so I guess I can understand why I was bought a bottle of Clinique happy as a birthday present. A 50ml bottle is around 28 pounds and for a 100ml the price is around 40 pounds.
Happy is Clinique's signature fragrance for both men and women. The men's bottle comes in either 50ml or 100ml bottle and is sort of a squat square with a curve shape and has a silver lid. The glass is clear and the fragrance inside is orange coloured. My bottle was a cologne spray.
The scent is described as a cool crisp masculine fragrance with a hint of citrus. I would have to say that in my opinion it contains more than a hint of citrus it smells strongly of oranges and is really sweet. The smell is lovely and the only way I can describe it is clean smelling. When I sprayed it on the scent was strong but not overpowering but I wouldn't say it was particularly masculine. I think it is too fruity smelling to be truly masculine and could easily be worn as a unisex fragrance as my female friend uses this as her main day time smell and always gets compliments on it.
For men I would definitely say it's more of a day cologne than a nighttime one solely due to the fact I think it's too fresh and not musky enough for evening but this is only my opinion.
I was thrilled with my present and wore it straight away and when the scent faded a little after a couple of hours I could still get a whiff of it every so often right up until I had a shower that night. Unfortunately I appear to be allergic to this cologne as I kept getting unbearable headaches and realized that I was only getting them while wearing Happy which is a shame as I really liked the smell of this. I would definitely still recommend this to other people as it is a really nice smell and according to Clinique my reaction to the cologne was extremely rare less than 1 in 10,000 so I'm confident recommending it to others who can enjoy it without the problems I have with it.
I'm not a massive men's fragrance buyer: I tend to wear what's been bought for me at Xmas and hope that it's bearable: most of the time that's the case, but for once I decided to get more of a 'name' brand.
I wasn't disappointed: the citrusy, fresh scent of Clinique Happy is a refreshing blend that I feel would suit most men.
I can't stand aftershaves and fragrances that have a warm or woody scent - they usually remind me of something my grandad had, or something that was slapped on my geography teacher. Instead Clinique Happy is a modern, clean scent that doesn't need flashy ads to catch it's audience, instead it has a quality and style that should sell on it's own. I was really pleased with it, my girlfriend loves it, and I recommend it to all of my friends and male relatives. It's a fragrance that's good enough for the night out as much as the day-to-day life we lead.
Whilst I do look after my appearance, I've never been the biggest fan of mens eu de colognes. Got my hands on this nice bottle as a Christmas present and it having ran out a few days ago, it just dawned on me how I miss it so much!
The fragrance is very fresh, full of citrus zingy notes. Think oranges being peeled releasing a nice odour into the air but much nicer. The key to this fragrance is FRESH. I can happily get onto the tube and not have to worry about the other commuters being intoxicated but to also bring a smile to their face and for all to be 'HAPPY!'
Cannot highly recommend Clinique Happy, buy it for yourself and buy it as a present for any male difficult to buy for, very little chance of this scent being disliked.
50ml goes a long way. Having had it since Christmas, Its lasted me a good 10 months, will daily use of 6 squirts a day. I carry it around everywhere and use it regularily, its somewhat slightly addictive!
Overall - Stylish, cool, fresh, happy and zingy!
I first came across Clinique-happy, when I purchased a Clinique gift set from the duty free shop at cancun airport (Mexico). The set included trial size examples of face and eye moisturiser, and a 30ml bottle of Clinique happy. Needless to say that within 2 weeks I had used up my 30ml and gone on to buy another 50ml bottle.
Why did I do this? Well, obviously I was very impressed with the product, and so was my girlfriend. The scent is light and airy and perfect for day or night time use. Upon application the first thing you notice is a clean, slightly sweet citrus smelling aroma. Once this initial aroma has settled down, you are left with a very clean and fresh smell (a bit like freshly laundered clothes). The scent is obviously well put together, I would say that one application easily lasts for a good 5 hours or so. The bottle is funky to look at and the spray nozzle makes application easy and more cost effective than the open nozzle variety. A great smelling cologne - highly reccommended!
This is my first cologne. I have tried to find some other just want to change but find that this is the best for me. The scent is very very subtle. At first you will be lifted up by the refreshing citrus scent. After a while (10 min), you will smell like a clean piece of cloth dried in the sun. Finally a very very warm smell will stay with you the whole day. It really make me feel happy, just like its name.
Happy by Clinique came into my collection of aftershaves as a gift earlier in the year. Coming in an orange card box, the bottle (as seen above) looks horrid! Oval in shape, the overall first impression was "eurgh" but the looks were indeed deceiving.
On removing the lid I was greeted with a fruity citrus aroma that reminded me more of a bowl of oranges (hence the colour of the bottle I'd say) and upon inspecting the notes, this is marketed as a refreshing masculine scent made from a blend of lemons, mandarins, oranges and grapefruit and is recommended for day wear around the office.
It's not what I would call a masculine aftershave, but it is still lovely.
I can't stress enough how subtle this is. Without actually sniffing at area's I had sprayed I wouldn't have known I was wearing this. Saying that however, it is a sign of a good quality aftershave and that it has blended well with your skin when the wearer can't actually smell it.
When I think about all of the different fragrances for men that are now available the name Clinique is usually the first thing that springs into my mind. This may have something to do with the fact that Clinique were one of the first companies within the cosmetic and beauty sector to attempt to actively market not just a single product for men but a whole range of different products.
Clinique is one of the leading brands of cosmetic companies in the UK. It began back in 1968 as an offshoot of the Estee Lauder Company, and despite having successfully carved out its own unique identity within the market place, it still remains under the umbrella of the Estee Lauder group of Companies.
Happy for Men is an aftershave that I am currently wearing for casual use. It is classified as a masculine scent with a citrus fragrance and comes in a rectangular shaped cardboard box that is such a vivid bright orange colour you could be forgiven for thinking that Stelios from Easyjet had launched his own brand of "easy-aftershave".
In the ever changing world of perfumes, where the packaging and bottle shape is almost as important as the fragrance itself the bottle inside this eye-catching box is a little bit of a disappointment. It comes in a short, fat bottle with a silver push on lid that takes up half of the container. Below this lid the bottle is transparent with an orange-red coloured tinge to it giving the impression that the liquid inside is actually of this colour. It is not of course, it is a clear liquid.
The initial smell of this aftershave is very refreshing. It has a very clean, fresh, fruity smell which is definitely predominantly of citrus flavours and in particular of oranges. Closer inspection reveals other citrus flavours of lemon and grapefruit.
Once applied I find that the initial strength of the fragrance fades rather quickly leaving only a subtle hint of its original blast of citrus laden scents behind. At this point it would be tempting to apply a little more of the spray but I would certainly recommend against this as once the initial smell has settled down it does remain for a very long time, leaving the skin feeling soft and very refreshed.
Clinique Happy for Men aftershave is a part of a small group of Clinique products in the Happy for Men range that also includes deodorants and anti-perspirents. These all come in the same distinctive bright orange packaging.
Happy for Men Aftershave is sold in 50ml and 100ml bottles. A 50ml bottle costs around £25 whilst the larger 100ml bottle works out at better value at around £35 a bottle. I currently have the 50ml size which I received as a gift. It is also available as a splash on liquid but I have found this difficult to find. It is not to be confused with the female equivalent of this product, which comes in a similar looking box (though slightly paler in colour) and is simply called Clinique Happy.
This fragrance is marketed as being suitable for office wear. Personally I wouldn't wear it for work as I think that it is too good for everyday use. Instead I wear it as a casual fragrance when I am going out in the evening but not going anywhere extra special. Using it in this way and alternating it with some of my other fragrances a 50ml will quite easily last me six months.
This fragrance is not the cheapest around but you do only need to use a very small amount so a little goes a long way and for this reason I believe that it is reasonable value for money. It is also very refreshing, and above all when I am wearing it always puts me in a good mood. Therefore it is recommended.
I was first introduced to this fine fragrance about a year ago and it has been my cologne of choice ever since. Of course, there are many excellent fragrances for men on the market, but for me, this one just has something a bit different to offer.
It comes in a bright orange oval shaped cylindrical bottle with a large silver lid on top. I find the bottle a bit cumbersome to be honest, it's very wide and would look nicer if the bottle was round and more compact. However, this is a minor complaint.
The fragrance itself is the most important part. And in my opinion, it does not disappoint on this front. I guess the best way to describe the smell would be as zesty, fresh, and uplifting. It has an undoubted smell or orange to it. But the bit I like best is that it keeps that fresh aroma all day long and you can feel as fresh at the end of the day as you did at the start. I find many other fragrances tend to be a bit heavy, overpowering, musky, and nauseous, but Happy has none of these problems.
The distinct smell of Happy often draws attention from friends, colleagues, and even strangers who want to know what the magic fragrance is and where they can buy it. This applies to both males and female admirers, everyone's a winner!
Both a solid everyday fragrance, and also one for the weekend.
I get this perfume bought me for every birthday and christmas from my mum as she knows I love it that much.
This is the most gorgeous and plesant smelling fragance I have ever come across in my life.
Clinque Happy really doesnt deserve its name, as when you spray it onto yourself, it really does lift your mood and make you feel Happy, special, sexy and alive.
I have had alot of woman come up to me asking whats that smell? whats that fragrance your wearing, its absolutely gorgeous. I always get compliments on this fragrance and woman asking me where I got it from and how much it cost.
I always feel like a million dollars spraying this on me for a night out.
Fragrance Notes: ruby red grapefruit, boysenberry bush flower and Hawaiian wedding flower /
