Advantages: Packaging is attractive (that's it though lol)

Disadvantages: Smell that isn't worth the high price tag at all!

For me Coco Channel is the poor sister fragrance of Coco Mademoiselle!

I'm aware that Coco Channel was around ages before Coco Mademoiselle popped into the world and not the other way round but to me Coco is simply nothing special! It just isn't strong enough for me and as soon I put it onto my skin it vanishes into thin air and I can't smell it any more which to me is a total waste of my pennies!

The smell (if you quickly inhale) is Oriental and Floral.

Top notes: Tunisian Orange Blossom, Sicilian Mandarin.

Middle notes: Damask Rose, Oriental Jasmine, Mimosa from Provence, Ylang-Ylang from the Comoros.

Base notes: Tonka Bean from Brazil and Venezuela, Indonesian Patchouli, Somalian Opoponax.

The problem I have with this fragrance is I cant identify the different ingredients at all its just lightly flowery, though it does have an expensive air about it to be fair to it but not the same as other Chanels, there is something missing in it for me.

The Packaging....

As always it is classy. Its a glass square bottle with a glass t bar lid wit a silver sprayer and black label with silver writing on it explaining who it is by and what it is. The liquid is a rich dark gold. I can't tell you what the box is like I've had my bottle ages and the box is long gone into the trash! Open the bottle take a sniff and its missing that expensive waft of ingredients that the other chanel perfumes possess and that is off putting!

What the product says of itself....

An exuberant, sensual and gourmand top note.

In March 1979, Jacques Polge visited the apartment of Coco Chanel in rue Cambon for the first time. He was both stunned and amazed... How could a woman who loved such simple and restrained lines have liked living in an apartment where such an incredible profusion, such an eclectic mix of styles reigned supreme? In order to understand, he decided to pay tribute to her by creating his first feminine fragrance for CHANEL.

My Opinion.... For What It's Worth lol....

Don't get me wrong I don't hate it, its just not one I would purchase as someone who is into obsession and Jean Paul Gaultier and anything heavily fragranced!

To me this smells cheaper than other Chanel's! It's ok for a daytime fragrance as it's so light but if your looking for something that makes a statement, I'd pass on this one!

It's definitely one for for the more mature lady in my view and isn't very modern in it's approach. It's not a statement perfume and I'd say its ok for daytime use but because its not a long laster it doesn't last long in the bottle. It doesn't last on the skin above an hour on me and it's a waste of my time applying it!

Where this perfume could be useful is as a gift for someone you don't know so well. If you don't know what a new gf would like perfume wise etc because it's not offensive and as it doesn't last long on the skin anyway, anyone could use it! lol.

Not for me it just doesn't make me excited using it. It's simply ok and run of the mill but I won't be buying it again. For such an expensive perfume I can't even report what it smells like to you!

Summary: Not so good to my nostrils but that doesn't matter it doesn't stay put anyway lol

Thanks for marking one of my reviews "not useful". Although perfume is subjective and what I like the smell of someone else will hate. I thought your review had a lot unecessary filling out and also Coco eau de parfum is very long lasting when used.
