Even though I used to be a Coleen Rooney fan and have her 'x' perfume, funnily I had never heard of this perfume until my friend bought it me as a gift. The perfume in question is called 'Butterflies' and was released in the United Kingdom in 2011, and so it is quite recent.
The perfume is available in the following bottles:
50ml (£16.30 Amazon)
100ml (£27.85 Amazon)
Top notes: Citrus, Rose and Hibiscus
Middle notes: Black Pepper, Nutmeg and Vanilla Flower
Base notes: Cedar, Rosewood, Amber and Tonka Bean
The bottle is very nice! It consists of a glass bottle with butterflies. It is very stylish and glamorous looking, and looks great on my dressing table.
The notes which stand out the most for me are the vanilla and musk. The scent is very fresh and clean. At times it smells quite woody, then the 'floral' scent will come out and then the spiciness. It's a comforting kind of scent and whilst I think it is great for winter, I do think that it is also great for summer too as it is quite light. I would therefore recommend it for all year round.
There is also something quite sexy about it. Whilst the perfume is girlie, it is also quite mature and so I would recommend it to women of all ages! It makes you feel very feminine.
On the downside, this perfume does not last very long. It's 'faded' after an hour or so and I think that this is bad considering the price of the perfume! Too expensive for what you get.
There is something really flirty and romantic about this perfume (Butterflies was the theme of Coleen's wedding to Wayne Rooney) and so I think that this perfume would be great for a date or wedding.
All in all, I do like this perfume and would recommend it. I just have to make sure that I carry it in my bag when I am wearing it to top it up as the scent fades.
Thanks for reading!

WHAT IS IT?
A celebrity fragrance from Coleen Rooney.
It's quite a pretty bottle with pink glass and golden butterflies arranged up one side of the bottle. The lid is gold too but the colour has chipped off a bit now and this has made the bottle look very tacky, it's not a sophisticated perfume bottle but suits the style of Coleen Rooney.
Very sweet and floral, Coleen is a young woman but this perfume is more suited for older ladies as it's very heavy upon first spray. The floral is mixed with a citrus fragrance but I don't think they are mixed well because the perfume smells very cheap, it's inexpensive at £15 for a 50ml bottle but the price should not indicate that the perfume has a cheap smell.
The citrus runs all the way through the perfume and becomes quite sharp towards the end, it's more like grapefruit than anything else and not very pleasant. When I saw the word citrus in the description I thought it would be a sweeter orange but it's very disappointing. After wearing Butterflies for an hour a smooth vanilla fragrance comes through, I wish this was stronger as it struggles against the tart citrus and if it was allowed to come through properly would make this a more youthful perfume.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Butterflies is quite long lasting and lingers for about 4 hours after I've applied it. It isn't very strong after the first few minutes and fades rapidly towards the end. I don't like the bitter end so don't wear it very often, I wasn't expecting anything sophisticated from someone like Coleen Rooney but I thought it would be better than this.

To say I was spoiled by my little sister this Christmas is a complete understatement! Not only did she buy me tickets for a Matt Cardle gig in March and a Pandora bracelet she also bought me a gift set in which was a 50ml bottle of Coleen Butterflies eau de toilette. My sister was aware that I really liked the first Coleen Rooney fragrance simply entitled "Coleen" and so she took a chance that I may like the other scent too.
Butterflies looks very different to the Coleen fragrance bottle which is somewhat simple in its design. The Butterflies bottle is much more detailed with golden coloured butterflies raised from the surface going from the bottom to the top of the bottle. The butterflies match the golden coloured lid of the product but personally I don't really like them as I think they look quite cheap and I would prefer a simple looking bottle. What I do like is the fact that you can see through the pink stained bottle so you know how much perfume you have left which was something you couldn't do with the previous Coleen fragrance I owned.
When you remove the lid you reveal a chunky golden coloured spray. The spray is quite powerful and a large mist of the fragrance is released with each spray. I am totally rubbish when it comes to picking out individual notes in a fragrance and so I have looked online for the information and can advise the following:
Heart notes: black pepper, nutmeg, vanilla flower
Top notes: citrus, hibiscus and rose
Base notes: rosewood, tonka beans, amber and cedar
Now all of that together means very little to me but I can advise that when the perfume is first sprayed it is a quite strong scent with a definite floral scent to it. This soon settles on the skin though and whilst it is still a predominantly floral fragrance the sweetness of vanilla becomes apparent making it more sweet and fresh in my opinion.
I do think that this perfume is a nice scent for day to day wear but I wouldn't use it on a night out personally because it only really lingers for a couple of hours properly and then fades in to a barely noticeable scent and this is not something I want from an evening fragrance. As a day perfume though I think this would be nice and summery and one that I would be happy to wear although I do have to say that I prefer the fruitiness of Coleen's original fragrance more than this Butterflies fragrance. Butterflies is ok but it not a fragrance I would have chosen for myself as it is a bit too floral for my liking.
Should you be interested in purchasing I can advise that a 50ml bottle costs £24.50 from the perfume shop.
