David Beckham Instinct is one of my personnel favorite aftershaves, simply for its masculine and refreshing scent.
I first used this aftershave after my mum bought me and my father a gift set that included this, along with the David Beckham shower gel too which smells exactly the same. The aftershave comes in a clear 75 ml bottle, with a handy magnet lid that sticks to keep it shut. The nozzle is a spray cap, so push it down to operate. I much prefer the spray on aftershave compared to the tops that pour out, I find they are much easier to manage how much is coming out of the bottle, plus they tend to last me much much longer.
The scent is really nice, and I find that it has incredible staying power, unlike most of them. The scent itself is masculine, and has a sort of spice hint to it too, which just adds to the aroma. I use this after a shave, and I would say it probably lasts a few hours before needing to reapply. I also find that this product hydrates your skin, a lot better than most, and leaves you feeling clean and refreshed after use, especially after a shave.
The 75 ml bottle varies in price from store to store, but if you buy this online it only costs around £15 including delivery to your home, which is a lot cheaper than some of the other bottles of aftershave that cost the wrong side of forty pound!
I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a really good quality and fair priced aftershave. I would suggest getting this with the shower gel too, for extra nice smelling goodness!
As a big fan of David Beckham, I was quite intrigued when the news was released that he would bring out a series of fragrances for men. I bought one of them after trying them in Boots and I received one for Christmas when I met up with a mate and we bought each other one of the gift sets and also bought one for ourselves as we both thought the deal was great. The gift sets were on a deal which was less than £10 which I thought was an amazing deal considering the quality and original price of the fragrance. Pure Instinct is the latest fragrance from David Beckham that I have owned.
This particular fragrance was released in 2009 and is still in production now. It is one of four instinct fragrances in the David Beckham range. I would recommend the fragrance for the younger male and ideally a David Beckham fan as you probably wouldn't want a fragrance from a player you didn't like. The fragrance has been likened to something for the Marc Jacobs brand and there are hints of Joop as well. The fragrance has some popular notes and is a daytime wear fragrance as well as one that can work at night too. As usual the fragrance is available in a number of different sized bottles.
Grapefruit, Black pepper, Cardamom
Sage, Rosemary, Lavender
Tobacco leaves, Moss, Cedarwood
The Fragrance opens with top notes of Grapefruit, Black Pepper and Cardamon which makes for an interesting scent with a fruity feel with a kick. The middle notes are cool yet noticeable with Sage, Rosemary and Lavender. The base notes give the Joop comparison with Tobacco leaves with Moss and Cedarwood which gives a nice woody feel to end the fragrance on as it fades out. The notes tend to lose their scent fairly quickly compared to the more expensive fragrances but they still get a good couple of hours in most occasions which is fairly good and better than most deodorants.
This is a very good fragrance which is another David Beckham hit. It's ideal as a second less expensive fragrance. you might use this as an everyday fragrance and use something more expensive for special occasions. It has some really nice notes and a pleasant scent. As you can get the fragrance for less than a tenner it may be ideal for those who don't want to spend £40 or so but still want a quality fragrance just don't expect it to last as much as the more expensive fragrances. That's the only major gripe on the fragrance but even that is a minor gripe as it does last enough.
I was bought this as a present as i'm a massive football fan, my mum is a massive David Beckham fan and I think she found this on offer in Boots and put 2 and 2 together and made 8.
The packaging for this product is a bit dull, its a silver box and a metallic silver bottle within it with a shiny silver top and a David Beckham insignia that looks slightly too close to the Armani insignia for my liking as an amateur copywriter. It is a 50ml bottle so isn't too much if you don't like it, i'm not sure what my mum paid for it, but it is available in most good fragrance shops and in Boots, Superdrug and Debenhams at around £19.99 for 50ml.
The bottle is supposed to be minimalist but for me it looks a bit too much like its trying to hard, it doesn't catch the attention and just looks a bit cheap.
Pure Instinct is a naff name for a fragrance, the whole marketing behind this doesn't work for me and its definitely not something i would have bought myself, the smell is actually fairly decent though, it has an earth natural smell, whereas I was expecting something slightly too fragrant. It underwhelms but in a nice way, having layers of citrus, woodiness and lavender which my Nan absolutely loves.
According to the box, it also has black pepper and cardomom, I have to admit I wouldn't notice these smells and they don't really add anything, for me the citrus is quite nice especially on hot days, whilst the lavendar adds a very elegant, understated sniff to it.
It combines well with me, which I like as not all fragrances work with everyone, it doesn't make people step back when I meet them and it definitely lasts for most of the day, as people often compliment me when I wear it.
Overall, its not something I would have bought, the packaging and name are a bit naff, but the smell has to be key to any fragrance and this has a gentle understatement but it is strong enough to last and make a good impression, so I may possibly buy more in the future.
This perfume is one of the best i have ever used, my girlfriends mum brought it for me last christmas and i havent stopped using it since. Being a teenager and wanting to look and smell my best i have brought lots of aftershave but with this one You dont need to buy loads as the smell is very strong and one or two sprays will keep you smelling nice for the rest of the day as the smell seems to stay with you for a very long time compared to other products i have brought on the market. This product is for people of all ages and can be brought by anyone. It's a great present for v-day, christmas or even your mans birthday. Get rid of his horrible odour and buy him a product of really quality which you will love the smell of. A wonderful product from the Beckham range.
I have always been a fan of Beckams fragrances and have all the ones he has released and been highly impressed with most of his offerings and so picked up Pure Instinct as soon as it was released but does it live up to the standards previously set?
Pure Instinct is another of the fresh and characterful fragrances to have been released by Beckham but what is it made up of? The fragrance contains pomelo citrus notes, black pepper, rosemary and lavender on a woody base of tobacco leaves, oak moss and cedar wood. The result is a contemporary yet distinguished fragrance that exudes a cool, sensual and elegant fragrance that is the ultimate finishing touch for every man with style.
For me this fragrance has amazing depth developed into in and should be one that I love but it simply does not react as well with my skin type as other Beckham fragrances which makes the fragrance last a very short time and not as nice as others in the range.
The scent itself is a very nice one which I love when it is not on my skin and I smell it so I still recommend it as being one for those looking for a contemporary fragrance to suit those looking for that little extra something to add on as the finishing touch (like when you have the perfect suit and outfit this is something that raises it that extra little bit).
I must admit that i was dubious about this product. I usually steer clear of fragrances linked to celebrity, especially when purchasing as a treat for my partner, but there is someting about the David Beckham / Victoria Adams celebrity bandwagon that made me try this fragrance, and i loved it!!!!.
The whole package that is David Beckham is conferred on this product, while the bottle is not extravagant it has fine form, slick and sexy (with not to muchupstairs).
The fragrance is pure beckham, very Brut, musky and brings back memories of my father splashing his face after i had looked on in awe having watched him shave.
I cannot help using this fragrence with a nice pair of ripped jeans (no sarong) and a crisp white shirt, no other fragrance have i tried makes me feel more masculin.
In four words "testosterone in a bottle", absolutly brilliant and usually very well priced.
