Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Not a memorable scent
My ex's sister purchased this for me last year for my birthday, I was quite glad at the time, as I was running a bit low on a backup fragrance (Lacoste red) and I was on the look out for something different. I remember in my youth(a long time ago), a lot of my friends wore Cool Water, and I loved the smell, it was different, it seemed vibrant, definitely a lot better than my dads Old Spice. So why had it taken so long for me to own a bottle? It was too popular and it seemed like everyone was wearing it, I like to be a bit different.
==What is it?==
Cool Water is an eau de toilette that first hit the shops in 1988 under the Davidoff brand; a brand more famous for tobacco than scent, Cool Water is now part of the Coty Prestige brand. The bottle is blue with a black lid with "Davidoff", "Cool Water" emblazoned on the front, just under the lid. Not the nicest looking bottle of fragrance I have ever had, in fact, in my opinion Old Spice would probably look better on my shelf.
==Scent==
The scent isn't spectacular, it has a lingering smell of lavender and orange blossom, which is quite nice but I find it lacking the oomph that would make a good back up cologne for me.
**Top Notes**
Lavender, Coriander, Peppermint, Rosemary, Orange Blossom.
**Middle Notes**
Jasmine, Oakmoss, Geranium, Sandalwood.
**Base Notes**
Amber, Musk, Sandalwood, Cedar
==Price==
Cool Water comes in various different sizes and prices, it is not at the top end of the range for price, but it is good value for money in terms of the scent.
40ml = £14.00
75ml = £16.00
125ml = £20.00
200ml = £25.00
==Verdict==
I liked this fragrance a little, I am glad that it was a gift, as I certainly wouldn't have paid the money for it. Would I buy this again? I would have to say no, I am glad that I tried it, but the scent isn't anything spectacular. As much as you are getting good value for money, I would rather pay a little more and get something a little more memorable, as this is definitely a scent that is very quickly forgotten. As I said at the beginning of this review, I loved the scent when I was younger but like most things that you look back on with fondness, the reality is totally different.
Summary: Lavender and orange blossom scented cologne, that won't break the bank
