      A longlasting scent

When I am on holiday I always like to treat myself to a couple of bottles of perfume. It seems that almost every second shop is a perfume shop when staying in a Spanish resort so you have no excuse to try and pick up a bargain. The shop assistants are all too keen to sell you something and when you refuse to buy what they offer they always manage to come back with a better price so my advice would be to keep refusing until they hit you with your ideal, but not ridiculous, price.

The first fragrance I decided to buy was the new summer, limited edition fragrance by Davidoff - Cool Water "Freeze Me". It is available in a 100ml bottle for women and a 125ml bottle for men. The women's bottle (not the one pictured here) is very feminine with a lovely slender tear shaped bottle, wide, rounded and white in colour at the bottom graduating through darkening shades of blue to a narrow dark blue metallic top.

The fragrance was release earlier this year as a new light and fruity summer fragrance. Boasting top notes of pink grapefruit, pineapple, mint leaves and crushed sea accord. The middle notes follow with bamboo, sea breeze accord and floral notes of violet, magnolia, lily of the valley, summer jasmine and iris. Finally the base notes finish the fragrance off nicely with peach, amber and musk.

When I first applied this fragrance I was amazed at just how fresh it felt, it really did feel like it almost chilled my pulse points as the spray hit my skin, hard to explain but "Freeze Me" is a very apt name! Quite a strong but very pleasant initial scent with the definite fruity notes coming through strongly, especially the pineapple. After about an hour or so I was still aware of the strong but very pleasant scent with my feeling that the floral notes were now more prominent. I usually like to apply my perfume again at lunchtime as, even although other people my still smell it, I never feel the scent has lasted, but with this perfume I am very pleased to say I did not feel the need to reapply at all. Even after having worn this fragrance all day I was still very aware of the scent still being quite prominent in the evening. Definitely not nearly as strong but leaving a subtle musky , slightly fruity scent on my body and one that was still commented on by those around me.

All in all I think this is a great summer fragrance, even although we haven't had much of a summer, at least it gives the impression of a cool, fresh summer's day. A great strong scented perfume if that's what you like with really great staying power, which is what I liked most of all, as it will last longer giving more value for money.

      100mls costs approximately £25

      Many thanks for reading.
