I bought this perfume just after my son was born so around 3 and a half years ago now but I still have some in the bottle (around half) so when I'm in the house I'll spray it on rather than use one of my nicer perfumes. At the time I paid around £35 for a 50ml bottle in Boots, having a quick look around this is now available for £13.69 on Amazon so quite a price difference.
The reason I bought it was I liked the bright blue colour of the bottle that was semi transparent so I could see how much liquid was left inside. It has a waves sort of pattern etched in the bottle which is a little different even though the shape and the cap is nothing creative. Game is detailed in bright pink. The box is the same shade of blue as the bottle and has the same pink marking, the difference is that Cool water is displayed in white. The box and the bottle go well together which is nice. The bottle feels lighter than other perfumes, not as solid which gives the impression of it being cheaply made which I didn't like so much. The bottle is quite big though so it isn't one you'd want to carry around with you.
Spraying the perfume was easy enough and I found it sprayed a decent mist rather that can be built up rather than having too much go on. A couple of sprays is more than enough to provide a semi strong scent. A description given is:
"An upbeat feminine fragrance. Fresh citrus notes give it an invigorating kick. Top notes of Granny smith apple and fresh lemon then develops in to heart notes of exoctic fruit softened by lotus and freesia. The base notes are cedar, sandalwood and amber which warms the skin."
I can definitely smell the citrus it is the predominant feature I think and gives a very sweet yet sharp burst to the nose. Very quickly however the perfume settles as a hint of fruit, I cannot smell the sandalwood, lotus or freesia at all even though it is supposedly in there.
Once I have the perfume on very quickly as I said it settles, after around an hour the scent is almost completely gone in that I can no longer smell it. I know the nose gets used to smells but generally with perfume I can smell it when i move for some time after it has been sprayed but this is just not there. Even smelling the inside of my wrists (which I done for the purpose of this review) I can only smell clean skin rather than the scent. I am incredibly disappointed with this as it does prove rather useless which is why i only use it while I'm in the house. When I go out I want a perfume that goes on and stays detectable for quite a while which is just not possible with this.
Overall for the price I paid I am highly disappointed, the scent is fresh and fruity but it's definitely not as nice as other fruity smelling scents out there. Even at £13 I doubt I would buy it again as it just lacks staying power. I wouldn't recommend this unless you're looking for a cheapish perfume to wear round the house. Even then unless you're happy to keep respraying it's all round rather disappointing.
Feel the energy and freshness.Cool Water Game for Her opens with fruity notes of apple and lemon continuing into a heart of water lily and freesia. The juice closes with notes of sandalwood, cedar wood and musk.Colourful and playful.
