This is a lovely fragrance, it reminds me of time spent by the sea on summer holidays and it is sweet and smells of the beach and the tides. This kind of 'seaside smell' has been around for a while but it still works well, especially on warm summer days - and yes, we did get a few, even though it's gone a bit cold now.
I really like the way it is packaged. The bottle is pretty and unusual and makes you think of a message in a bottle, tossed into the sea. The colour is amazing, a lovely turquoise and pale green.
Davidoff is a good make and they certainly know what they are doing when it comes to perfume. The scent lasts a while but it's better if you smooth on a little bit of moisturiser first. I usually do this with perfumes and they last twice as long.
Davidoff Cool Water Summer Dive is one of my favourite fragrances. It was released in 2011 and is refreshing, cool, light and smells great so it is perfect as an every day scent. A lot of my perfumes are very heavy and can almost go stale after a long day. This fragrance has staying power and is still evident after an 8 hour day.
The bottle is tall and narrow and is blue and turquoise in colour (representing blue sky and green seas) with Davidoff Cool Water Woman Summer Dive in white letters on the glass bottle.
According to Davidoff the fragrance's top notes encompass pineapple and melon zest, a heart adds aquatic violet and lotus, while a base finishes with a sophisticated trail of iris and soft wood.
I find the fragrance really refreshing The fruity aromas remind me of summer.
Price and availability
This fragrance is becoming increasingly difficult to get hold of.
The eau de toilette spray is available on www.fragranceshop.com for just £19.99 for 100ml.
It is also available on www.galaxyperfume.co.uk for £28.15, but on popular sites such as Amazon it is £35.18+£9.95 postage and packing (postage is rather steep as usual from these companies selling on Amazon) sold by Perfume Emporium.
I think it is well worth £30 for 100ml - I intend to stock up before it goes into extinction!
I would recommend Davidoff Cool Water Summer Dive to anyone who is looking for a refreshing light summer fragrance that smells great. I was really impressed with it's staying power as well. A great perfume if you can get hold of it.

Coolwater is a stunning EDT, perfect for Spring and Summer, morning or evening. I hae worn this fragrance for several years now and NEVER get tired of the beautiful notes it as to it. The fragrace changes throughout the day. It starts off very fresh and summer like smelling of sweet, musky flowers. As the day progresses, the frangrance changes to that of vanilla musk - for me that is as I appreciate that every edt smlls different on every person. The bottle is very sexy and cool. It makes a perfect gift for females of any age.
The emphasis with this fragrance is on the cool and that whole image starts with the bottle, an ice cold blue colouring with different depths of blue colouring throughout the lenght of the bottle which sort of gives it a layered feel. From the base their rises a small column that is stunted, like the base of a tree and the top is quite nicely designed. Price wise I paid £26.99 for a 100ml bottle which makes it a reasonably priced fragrance.
This a cool fresh scent, it avoids being overly sweet and instead has a nice fresh and lively feel to it, there are some fruity tones such as pineapple and melon however these are complemented by the calming influence of orris and also some minty tones an well and it is these that give it the cool fresh, quite invigorating smell.
I like the fact that this is a subtle fragrance that lasts a long time on my skin, it sort of grows in strength initially after application and then settles down to be a little understated but still one that has a summery feel to it as well, it is a scent of contrasts and these contrasts however work well in harmony if that makes any sense at all.
It is not an over powering scent however it does have good staying power although I do find myself topping it off at least once during the day and for me this is very much a day scent raher than something I would wear at night to go out.
This perfume is beautiful, it smells incredible and is packaged wonderfully - which really adds on to the overall effect.Possibly a little sweet smelling, but if thats what you like then it's definitely perfect for you! I personally prefer slightly sweet, fresh and flowery, whereas this is sweet shop sweet! If you're thinking of buying it i would definitely go into a perfume shop or boots to test it out first!Tip for testing out perfumes - Only smell 5 at once, any more and your nose will barely differentiate between the smells, however if you try 5 out and haven't found the perfect one, take a break. (Shop for some clothes or have a coffee - which is especially good as the strong smell of the coffee beans clear and cleanse the nostrils.) Then go back and try a few more. Good luck!
I love when a new fragrance comes out for the summer!!!!!! iv been using cool water since i was 19 so over 10 yrs now and iv always loved the fragrance so when i seen this in boots i had to give it a try!!!!!! i do wear other fragrances such as gucci, and lady million so when i tried this it was a compleatly different smell. The fragrance is a Limted addition for the summer!!!!!
The theme of the fragrances is diving and they are inspired by the big blue, adventure and sports spirit and energy.
Cool Water Summer Dive Woman is a fragrance for woman inspired by sea depths and fresh aromas. The blue sky and blue-green clear sea water are depicted perfectly on the flacon which promises aquatic flowers and fruit zests. Top notes encompass pineapple and melon zest, a heart adds aquatic violet and lotus, while a base finishes with a sophisticated trail of iris and soft wood. The perfume is available as 100ml EDT.
A sexy fruity-aquatic fragrance, Cool Water Woman Summer Dive is ideal 'to quench thirst for real freshness'. 'Clear blue skies, hazy white horizon and aqua green sea make the perfect backdrop for this ultra-fresh scent', confides Davidoff. Summer Dive is a limited edition beach perfume that invites women to dive into summer.

Thanks for reading xxxxxxx
The first time I got to know this fragrance at Douglas, I was attracted by its original design: it looked like something very very fresh, something waterlike, tender, soft, sexy ...I didn't know much about Davidoff's products and besides, the price seemed to me too high, especially when you take into account how much similar products of famous French brands cost. However, I did like the fragrance a lot and I bought it and I never regret it...
So, my opinion based on my proper experience with this product:
1. What I like a lot about this perfume is the fact it is really very very long lasting. You can use it easily once a day in the morning and it will last all day long. Really, a very nice surprise, beacause unfortunately, there are not so many brands which can be proud of this quality...
2. Fragrance: fresh, tender, nice, marine, watery, light, with a touch of a lemon flavour. Young, innocent, soft and very chic.
3. Quality-price: really very good, especially when you know that the perfume is very very long lasting.
Conclusion: a wonderful fresh, soft fragrance, long lasting and young.
I first smelt the smell of the original Cool Water Perfume many years ago when I was in Belgium. I had heard of the brand and Perfume before, but never bothered about smelling it, but I tried it, liked it and bought it. I do like lighter, Fruity Summer scents and when I spotted this scent online recently then I thought it would be the 1 for me. Sounded exactly like the kind of smell I like, so I treated myself.
This bottle looks the same as the normal Cool Water, but perhaps the blue is a little bit lighter. It is an ok shape, and is a little bit chunkier at the bottom and goes a little bit narrower as it goes up the bottle. It's a simple looking bottle and nothing all that special, but it is alright.
So how does this smell? Well you get the original Cool Water light airy scent from here, but there is notes of Pineapple, Mint, Melon, Warm Woods, Lotus Flower and Water Violet. There does seem to be a dash of a sort of Musky scent in here which I am guessing is the Warm Woods, but I would say probably the main scents in here are the Melon and Water Violet. This is so nice and light with a crisp airy fruity scent through it. It really is lovely.
I got this in a 100ml bottle and this cost £31. Perhaps a risk buying this size of it without even smelling it but I was confident of the notes in here that I would like this, and I do. Not sure if this is available in any other size of bottle.
This lasts a good enough lenght of time. Not the longest lasting scent, but when I went to reapply this later in the day I could just smell this very faintly.
This is a lovely scent for you if you like light airy scents, and I would recommend this scent for you to try.
My Dad purchased a bottle of Davidoff: Cool Water Summer Dive, Eau de Toilette for my birthday, after asking for advice in Superdrug! He told the assistant that I loved light scents and she chose this one. She chose well!
The bottle is very similar to the original Davidoff: Cool Water in that it is a tall, slim curve with a shiny blue plastic lid. It has, etched onto it in white, the Davidoff Cool Water logo and at the bottom of the bottle, Summer Dive. It is presented in a sealed cellophaned blue cardboard box and can be purchased as a perfume, eau de toilette, and in a gift set with a body lotion and fragranced shower gel.
The lid removes completely and there is a spray dispenser, that when pressed delivers a light mist of the eau de toilette. The mist isn't sticky or too watery - it can be applied to hair, skin or clothing.
The scent is cool, light and slightly floral, just the way I like it. If you like Chanel Chance (Green) or Armani Aqua Di Gio, then you'll like Davidoff: Cool Water Summer Dive as it's very similar as it's a light, summer fragrance which has a decent staying power despite not having a strong musky base. It's suitable to be used as an everyday scent, and is in my 'rotation' of light, airy scents. I often get complimented on it.
If you are looking for a gift for someone who likes light, airy, citrusy - floral scents with staying power, then I'd absolutely recommend Davidoff: Cool Water Summer Dive. I'd certainly buy it again and it was a lovely gift!
I was looking for a new summer fragrance when I came across this lovely Cool Water Summer Dive edition of Cool Water by Davidoff. I have worn the regular Cool Water for years now, ever since my university days and it really has to be described as my signature scent. I do wear other fragrances as I like to change it up a bit but I have stuck by this one for years now. The inspiration behind Davidoff's Cool Water was simple, "Water, one of life's simplest but most invigorating sensations," and with this limited edition Summer Dive variety he has definitely, in my opinion, stuck with that same basic simple philosophy, of capturing the beautiful smell of the ocean and water and summer and rolled it into one beautiful perfume.
I actually stumbled upon this by mistake as I was looking for a new bottle of Cool Water and thought this was it as on first glance the bottles are almost identical. I love the shape and design of this perfume bottle. It is a beautiful blue colour and looks to me like a drop of water as the bottom half of the bottle is bigger and rounded to give it a tear drop/water drop look. It almost looks like water itself inside and the bottle is seethrough and very captivating and immediately takes you to far away places such as lovely pure white beaches! The Summer Dive bottle differs from the regular bottle in that it is slightly sea green coloured at the bottom of the bottle instead of just plain blue and I think that gives it quite a nice summer feel and look.
This fragrance is wonderfully light and refreshing, perfect for summer when you don't want anything too heavy that is going to sweat off in the hot weather (what hot summer weather you say??) It has top notes of mint, melon and pineapple with heart notes of water violet and lotus flower and base notes of orris and warm woods. Now I don't really have a nose for all the different ingredients in this perfume but I do get quite a fruity smell from this but in no way is it overpowering, it is just wonderfully crisp and light, really the perfect fragrance for me. I generally wear this during the day as I like something a bit stronger at night but it really is a wonderful day fragrance.
I bought my perfume in Boots, mainly so I could get the Advantage Card points as I had a double coupon, for £31 which is not too bad for a nice fragrance and one that I am really enjoying wearing this summer.
I have been using Davidoff fragrances for years now. I discovered Cool Water Woman before my daughter was born and it's a testament to how I tend to stick with fragrances I like that I have never been without a bottle since. I don't have a huge collection of perfumes - unlike my daughter who has a box overflowing with bottles - and my favourites are still Cool Water Woman and Calvin Klein's Eternity. Such is my love for both scents that I have bought some of the variations of them too.
Last year I picked up a limited edition summer variant of Cool Water Woman called Ice Fresh which I adored and wore almost every day. I was really pleased with this fragrance as I had been disappointed with the first Cool Water Woman variant, Cool Water Wave. I expect the Wave scent wasn't particularly successful as it was reduced in many department stores and fragrance shops last year - unlike Ice Fresh which seemed to fly off the shelves.
I was browsing in Debenhams a few weeks ago and spied a new limited edition summer variant of Cool Water Woman and grabbed the tester bottle enthusiastically. I wasn't let down - I loved the delicate summer scent immediately and while it perhaps wasn't quite as good as Ice Fresh, I was impressed enough to know I wanted to buy a bottle.
Debenhams wanted £31 for a 100ml bottle of eau de toilette. Being the careful shopper that I am, I decided to go home and see if there were better deals available online and as a result I ended up buying my bottle of Summer Dive from the website Fragrances Direct for £25.99 plus £1.95 postage and packing which represented a small saving on the Debenhams price, never mind the fact I could pay by Paypal which was ideal as I had some money sitting in my Paypal account.
At first glance it's easy to assume the Summer Dive glass bottle is almost identical to that for original Cool Water Woman. However the bottle gradually changes colour from the clear aqua blue of the original at the top to a delicate and watery green. I think it looks absolutely gorgeous and my only complaint is the lettering they have used to imprint "Summer Dive" on both box and bottle - it lacks the classic look of the font used for the brand name of Davidoff and the Cool Water Woman logo.
The bottle has a huge dimple at the bottom which looks like a mermaid's seat, adding to the aquatic feel of the brand.
My nose isn't particularly refined and when it comes to fragrances I decide what I buy purely by what I like, even although there are some scents I prefer to others. I dislike the really sweet fragrances my daughter buys but I put that down to age - when I was her age I loved sweet scents and I remember loving Cacharel's Anais Anais in my teens but just a whiff of it turns my stomach these days.
Anyway, the scents you will detect if you have a better nose than me are:-
Mint Leaves, Melon, Pineapple
Water Violet, Lotus Flower
Orris, Warm Woods
What I love the most about this scent is the freshness you get when you first put it on. I wasn't aware this freshness was from the mint and the melon top notes but when you know what it is it all makes sense. I do quite like fruity scents which no doubt explains why I like Summer Dive and have liked it since I first tried it.
It definitely does develop into a slightly more floral scent as the heart notes kick in and I find this a lovely touch and put me in mind of being back on Chaweng Beach on the Thai paradise island of Koh Samui or gazing at surfers again off Waikiki Beach in Hawaii. When you get to the base notes the fragrance develops a slightly herby and woody tone but all in all the scent makes me want to be somewhere hot and sunny - preferably a beach.
As I am not planning on going anywhere near a hot and sunny beach anytime soon - and let's face it, the Scottish weather just isn't going to make a drive down to the Clyde Coast comparable to lying on a beach in Spain - Summer Dive is a fine replacement for me. The scent is refreshing and cool yet beautifully evocative and as such it's the perfect summer fragrance for me.
Unfortunately there is one caveat with this product and that is longevity. I have been putting this on every morning since I bought it because we've had some lovely weather over the past couple of weeks, and by lunchtime the fragrance is all but gone. I guess this is one of the pitfalls of wearing eau de toilette but this is a bottle you really need to keep in your handbag if you want to reap the benefits of the scent all day long as you will have to top up at lunchtime.
That's the only real criticism I have of Summer Dive however. It offers a light, evocative and distinctly refreshing fragrance which works perfectly on days when the sun shines and isn't so expensive as to break the bank. Having said that I'm rapidly working my way through the bottle so I will no doubt need to buy another one to see me through the entire summer.
My only other complaint would be regarding the fact this is yet another limited edition summer variant from Davidoff of Cool Water Woman. Much as I like Summer Dive, last year's Ice Fresh just pips it in the scent stakes but it's no longer available and I would imagine come next year Davidoff will have another summer variant on offer instead.
If you are looking for a light and fresh summer fragrance I recommend you try Summer Dive but be warned if you like it - you'll get through a lot of it!
