Advantages: A pleasent scent
Disadvantages: Too plain smelling
This is one of the most popular fragrances on the market and I am sure most people who have a collection of five or more Eau de Toilette's have this in there somewhere, and I definitely have it in mine, but it doesn't necessarily mean I am the biggest fan of it.
In terms of the bottle it is pretty plain which is always good to see, these days you always get unique designs, like with the Diesel Fuel for life having a protective cover, or Le Male and its body sculpted bottle. Here you just have a plain blue bottle so no complaints here, but I didn't but this for the bottle.
In terms of the price we are looking at around £26 for a 75ml bottle from the fragrance shop and around the £33 mark for a 100ml bottle. However I would recommend looking out for the Cool water gift sets, where you can generally find a 75ml bottle plus a shower gel for like around £20-25, so less than a 75ml bottle itself. This is usually available around Christmas, and can be found in the perfume shop and Boots, but just keep your eye out for a bargain. Bare in mind with most fragrances you can always find it cheaper online and on EBay but just beware for fakes. I am not saying they are all fakes, but be careful and do your research first.
In terms of the smell this is a very aquatic fragrance. The main notes are lavender, jasmine, oak moss, musk and sandalwood. I am not sure what the combination of these should smell like, but from my nose it is a very fresh smelling fragrance. That is the best way to explain it. It complements a clean shaven look and I feel it is very youthful. This reminds me of the blue seduction fragrance from Antonio Banderas and is very pleasant. However I prefer the more adventurous fragrances like Le Male with a few random ingredients in them, so I cant say that Cool Water is one of my favourites.
As I said above it isn't one of my favourites, however in terms of going to work and day time use, this is in the three or four fragrances that I rotate. The spray nozzle provides a good spread which means two to three sprays is going enough, and the projection is of my liking as I hate fragrances where people can smell you from down the road.
In terms of longevity your looking at several hours, I have heard people say this lasts all day, but not on me. Bare in mind fragrances can very from skin to skin, so just cause it doesn't last all day on me doesn't mean it won't last all day on you.
Overall having had this Eau De Toilette for a number of months I can comfortably say that it is a good fragrance, but not spectacular. I can't honestly say if I will be purchasing another bottle when my current one runs out, and it will depend on if I discover any new day scents. I definitely would not wear this on a night out as it is far too plain; you want something with a bit more panache. Considering you don't need to many sprays this can easily last many months so I will give this three stars overall.
