Up until recently I only owned one DKNY fragrance and that was the original DKNY Be Delicious fragrance, which was launched back in 2004.
There have since been over 30 releases in similarly designed bottles released off the back of Be Delicious's success.
A few months ago I got my second DKNY fragrance, which was the Delicious Art Fresh Blossom edition and ever since I have gone mad for DKNY's Delicious fragrances.
~ Price and availability ~
I tracked down DKNY Be Delicious Juiced online. One of the only sites I could find it on was www.strawberryNET.com, which is an American website, which I have used before.
It comes as an eau de toilette and it costs £47.00 for 50ml.
It was also released as a 30ml eau de toilette, but I have not seen the 30ml bottle anywhere.
This fragrance was released as a limited edition for spring 2011, so it is quite difficult to find.
~ Bottle ~
The bottle is similarly designed to all of the other bottles in the DKNY Delicious range.
It is rounded, but not spherical. The bottle sits quite low.
The bottom of the bottle is made from clear glass, but the top of the bottle is made from bright green plastic.
It has a triangular spray release button, which is on the top of the bottle and also made from bright green plastic. The spray comes from a hole in the front of the green plastic top.
A white and green oval shaped apple sticker is stuck to the side of the plastic with, 'DKNY Be Delicious Juiced' written on it.
The fragrance itself is a bright green colour as well.
I think the bottle is really nice. It is quite brightly coloured, but I don't think it looks tacky or over the top.
~ Scent ~
I love the scent of this fragrance. It is cool and refreshing.
The top notes are bright fruits of mango and pear blossom.
The heart notes are green apples, lily of the valley, peony and violet.
The base notes are cedar and white amber.
There is a definite green apple scent in this. It is a very clean, crisp scent. It is juicy, fruity and uplifting.
I can also detect the harsher lily of the valley note. Usually I don't like the scent of lily of the valley, but in this fragrance it is toned down by the stronger fruity notes in the fragrance.
It is quite sweet, but it doesn't smell cheap like some sweeter scents sometimes do.
The mango and pear blossom are not notes that I can pick out individually and to me this fragrance smells much like the original, Be Delicious fragrance.
Despite the fact that this fragrance comes as an eau de toilette I have found that it lasts longer than most of the DKNY Delicious eau de parfums. I wore it today for work and I could still smell it on my skin 8 hours after it was applied. I noticed the scent on myself during the day as well.
I have been impressed by this scent, although I do think it very similar to the original Be Delicious fragrance. If I was tested, I don't think I would be able to identify which one was which.
It feels a bit like DKNY are just pumping out different bottle designs with very similar, in some cases identical scents so that they can make as much money out of idiots like me who fall for it.
~ Conclusion ~
I love this scent and have been impressed by the longevity. It was still going strong after 8 hours of wear.
It is really fresh, crisp and clean, but it is very similar to the original Be Delicious. It would have been nice if they had actually changed a few more notes. The mango and pear blossom (which are different to the original Be Delicious's notes) are difficult to detect in this scent!
I like the bottle design for this fragrance.
It has become quite difficult to track down and it is quite pricey at £47.00 for 50ml, but I am glad I have it in my collection.
