Advantages: Smells divine, Not too strong, Lasts for hours

Disadvantages: The design of the bottle isn't that great

Well, up until a few months ago, if you had asked me what my favourite perfume was I wouldn't have been able to give you an answer. But after discovering D&G's Light Blue I'm a complete convert and wear it all the time.

Looks wise, it comes in a flocked turquoisy blue box with silver writing on it. The glass bottle is clear and has a simple tall rectangular shape. It has a silver and blue rectangular top. The effect is smart and sophisticated, but not very sexy. If you like your bottles elegant and elaborate you probably won?t think much of this.

Right, the whiff?.

It is described as a light summer fragrance (not much cop during this cold Feb then!). Its notes are apple, bluebells, jasmine, bamboo and white roses with subtle hints of cedarwood, amber and musk.

To me it has a rather sweet oceanic smell (this is not a traditional floral scent), something akin to Davidoff?s Cool Water for women ? it also smells slightly masculine. However, I think that it is modern, refreshing, sporty, and sexy. When you first put it on it does smell rather strong and a bit too alcoholly (if you know what I mean), but fear not, after a few minutes it disperses into a lovely light aroma which lingers all day. It is perfect for daywear and just as good for a night on the tiles (especially if you don?t want to smell like a tart?s boudoir).

I?ve tried Light Blue on the chaps that I work with. They gave my wrist a good sniff and told me that it was ?very nice!? and one of them said (after being told that it was called Light Blue) that it did smell of the colour light blue. Now I?ve never thought about how colours smell but I think he is right ? ocean, seabreeze, bluebells ? all blue?

It is available in a 50ml edt at a RRP of £34, but you can get it for £24.99 if you have a search on the web. However, I have just purchased a 25ml edt for £16.50 from supadrugstore.com (it should have cost £25 - bargain!) ? slightly mor
e that most perfumes, but if you are looking for something different it is worth a try. It is also available in a shower gel and a body gel.

Thanks for reading!
