Advantages: Light, fresh fragrance, Perfect for summer

Disadvantages: Won't suit everyone, Slightly expensive but shop around!

I have just received a package in the post this morning and I'm really excited because it's the Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue perfume I ordered just 2 days ago after reading a review on Ciao!

THE PACKAGING
The box is a light blue colour, quite appropriately! It appears to have a suede-like texture and is very plain with silver writing. The outer cellophane is sealed with a round silver sticker with Dolce & Gabanna printed across it in blue writing the same shade as the box. Look reassuringly expensive so far!

On opening the cellophane, the suede-feel box is gorgeous and very different. I like it.

The bottle inside is lovely. To my surprise it fills the majority of the interior of the box, rather than being largely packaging, like some other brands. It is a rectangular, slightly opaque glass bottle with a silver band with the spray button and a rectangular blue lid, which is actually lighter in colour that the one in the picture. There is silver writing on it, echoing the box exactly. It's a beautifully simple design although probably not appealing to everyone.

THE SMELL
Here's the important bit... Mmm, I like it. It's initially quite citrusy and slightly too much of an alcohol smell but that evaporates in seconds. The fragrance left behind is gorgeously light and floral, maybe jasmine and light woody-citrus smell, but extremely fresh. I like this a lot.

After a few hours the smell is still with me. This is a lovely daytime fragrance.

THE PRICE
I bought the 25ml size, which is the small one. I'd never tried this before and I do change fragrances quite often so thought it best!

The rrp is £25.00 but I bought mine for £16.50 including postage on the internet, so it's wrth shopping around.

The rrp for 50 ml is £34.00 (have seen for £24.99)
the rrp for 100ml is ££48.00 (have seen for £32.99)
