*Searching for the right kinda scent - heavenly preferably*

During my research and trials of cruelty free perfumes my daughter discovered Dolma and brought the company to my attention. They are indeed absolutely cruelty free and include vegan musk. I was very interested in testing them out but it is only possible to buy online at this time. Fortunately you can order sample sizes in a variety of options and that is what I did.

*Box of delights*

Options for the box sets are 5 of your choice, 10 of your choice or all 12. As I had been treated to some cash for my birthday I plumped for all 12 because I was intrigued and wanted to smell them all. The website was simple to navigate and the ordering process secure. Delivery was exceptionally fast and I was ready to start the trial.

At 1.8ml per small bottle (high quality glass bottle with a secure screw lid - no leaks) and in a cute and sturdy clear box which holds 10 (two come in a small clear sealed packet) my first thought was how handy these would be to take away with me on holiday. Then I pondered how long these samples would last as they are pretty small. The answer - a good length of time due to the fact that each bottle contains perfume and I have found that a little dab on the wrists and neck area is all that I need to last all day! Yes I am still aware of the presence of each scent after I come out of the shower in the evening - and I do have a good lather up in there! Obviously the fragrance is not as strong but it is detectable - this is the first perfume to last so long on me and I have used some powerful notes in the past.

I had a surprise when I inhaled the different options from the little box. I normally avoid flowery or sweet perfumes and as a rule go for the more earthy, oriental types. I thought that Calista (floral) would be one that I avoided at all costs - but quite the opposite because this perfume is light and airy and not in the slightest bit sickly or headache inducing (this is normally the effect that florals have on me). I love the name of Amethyst Mist and so was delighted when I tried it and found once again that I could easily wear and enjoy thoroughly the smell of the rich floral aroma. There is something quite unique about these perfumes, they are not overpowering and yet the fragrance lasts and lasts during the day meaning that the little bottles are very economical for the price.

My favourite one (if I really have to pick one because this is incredibly difficult - I actually genuinely adore all 12!) is Sarabande which is described as green and oriental - there you go I am naturally drawn to these mystical and sensual types and this one is absolutely gorgeous. It is a rich offering which is made up off honeysuckle, patchouli (love love love it), geranium, basil and vetivert. When I was in the cinema recently I got a whiff of a gorgeous smell and after a while of wondering where it was coming from I realised it was me! Yes really and I smelt beautiful! I have been searching so long for a perfume that I can actually keep detecting on myself during the day rather than it being obvious for an hour or so and then disappearing into thin air - well I have found it and 11 others.

*Any drawbacks - negatives about the box of tricks?*

No, this box is the best thing I have discovered in a long time - if I had to produce one drawback it would be: 'how the heck do I make my choice as they are all so divine'.

Highly recommended - cost effective, superb service, high quality. Gorgeous fragrances that last and last. There is just so much choice - but that is a good thing right. A great way to sample and trial before you buy this very high quality perfume.
