The DKNY Be Delicious Eau de Parfum is available for GBP 36.50.
The Eau de Parfum is described as follows. "DKNY Be Delicious Women is a fresh, sophisticated fragrance from the heart of New York City. Be Delicious opens with crisp and edgy top notes including American Apple, crisp Green Cucumber and sparkling Grapefruit. The middle notes are sweet and sinful with Magnolia, Tuberose, White Muguet, Rose and Violet. In the base, Sandalwood and White Amber round out the scent with an innocent and sexy appeal."
A crisp top notes of grapefruit, cucumber and Magnolia encounters a juicy-sweet heart notes of apple, lily of the valley, rose, tuberose and violet, framed by base notes of woods and white amber. A scent of smells extremely fresh, green and fruity. A fragrance that reflects the fast pace of New York's success grace and dynamism symbolizes. The freshness of this fragrance would almost a unisex fragrance meet, if not quite an easy chords of exotic flowers would give a very fine feminine undertone. This combination of tangy apple, citrus fruits, flowers and woody accents gives a whole new, very modern fragrance composition that is so far in this form a novelty! This fragrance is both easier than to describe other scents, as the apple shisha is very dominant, the other hand also a lot harder. If one were to be limited to terse description of an apple, you would do this scent very wrong. The fragrance is very fresh and light, it has a slightly woody, bitter note, which he directly acting sexy and wicked again. I too have had the experience that the scent evaporates relatively easily, and I might need to spray again at noon. However one takes the scent true to himself. The scent is very light and not very intrusive, so you can use it any time of day and occasion.
DKNY Be Delicious is an Eau de Parfum which is available in a 30ml bottle priced at £36.50, or a 50ml bottle priced at £48.50.
The bottle is kind of weird and unique in that it's shaped like an apple, but it's not the prettiest or most interesting design and certainly not one of my favourites. It looks ok, but I think the green colour puts me off a bit, the red one and some of the others look a lot nicer than this one to me.
The fragrance is described as a fresh, sophisticated fragrance which celebrates individuality with refreshing spirit, like the city that inspired it. I don't really agree entirely with this description. The scent is certainly fresh and refreshing, but I wouldn't say it's sophisticated.
The top notes are Amercian green apple, cucumber and grapefruit, the mid notes are magnolia, tuberose, white muguet, rose and violet, and the base notes are sandalwood and white amber. The overall fragrance is a very sweet but fresh and juicy one, with the fresh, fruity top notes and the violet being most noticeable to me.
This is a fragrance that I would only wear in the day time as it's quite light and fresh, and I prefer a warmer, more seductive type of scent for evening wear. Despite the lightness of it it does have a very chemical feel which easily gives me a headache, though I am more sensitive to chemical perfumes than most people.
Only one of 2 sprays of this is needed, and in fact any more than that and you risk smelling like a teenager using cheap perfume for the first time due to the sweetness, which is generally not what one aims for! It isn't a perfume that would suit all ages, I'd say anyone over say, 40, should steer well clear as it does not suit the older lady at all.
It is a long lasting scent, and the scent after just one or 2 sprays in the morning will linger for a good 12 hours both on the skin and on clothes.
This is a decent scent, but it's my least favourite of the Be Delicious range. I find it a little too sweet and immature, but it is long lasting, so if that's your type of scent then I'd recommend it.
I got this fragrance as part of a duo pack which also included the DKNY Be Delicious Red. The two fragrances came in separate boxes, which were packed together and each bottle was a fairly small 30 ml. I paid £30 for the pack, which even accounting for the small bottles, I thought was good value. It is not often that you get a bottle of perfume for £15, especially one that is by a designer.
The fragrance comes in a round bottle which is shaped presumably to look like an apple, as is the same with all of the fragrances in the Be Delicious range. It has a silver top with a button on that you press down on to squirt the perfume out. The bottle is nice enough and a little bit unique, but it is not a show stopper that you'll want to have displayed on your dressing table. The button can also be quite hard to press down and I tend to find that I have to use two hands to do so, which is a bit of a pain when you are trying to spray it on your wrists!
Be Delicious has top notes of American Apple, crisp Green Cucumber and sparkling Grapefruit. The middle notes are Magnolia, Tuberose, White Muguet, Rose and Violet. And the base notes are Sandalwood and White Amber. I was surprised to read about so many flowery notes running throughout the fragrance actually because the overwhelming thing that I get from it is apples and not much else. It sort of smells like those rosy apple boiled sweets that you used to get from your local sweet shop. It is indeed very fruity and I really don't get much else from it to be honest.
It does smell quite fresh and light, but very sweet (probably from all those apples) and it is a little bit too much for me personally, I am not a big fan. I think it smells a bit too immature for me really and would be much better suited to a teenager or someone in their early to mid twenties at the most. I would also say that it is a summery fragrance rather than a winter or all year round one because it does put you in mind of fruit salads on warm days.
The staying power of the fragrance seems to be quite good, but maybe that is because I am not all that fond of it so it lingers quite a bit! It is very strong.
Overall I would say that it is a good value fragrance, but just not one that I like particularly.
I got this as a gift for my birthday a long time ago. I have been using it ever since but not regularly because I like to mix it up a bit by wearing different fragrances. I love this smell it is very distinct to other perfumes out there and you can not mistake it for anything else. Whenever I wear this I get a lot of compliments and those who aren''t close with me always ask what fragrance I''m wearing. It''s definitely long lasting but it is quite strong. So for those of you who do not like the stronger smelling perfumes this is probably not it. To be honest another reason why I do not wear this regularly is because it gives me headache due to its strong scent. I like the shape of the bottle because it is different and not like other perfume bottle out there. This perfume is definitely a winner as it is so recognisable and durable.
I had some money left over on my flight home from my holiday and decided to spend it after browsing the in flight magazine. I chose to buy the DKNY Be Delicious perfume.
About the fragrance
The perfume promises to be light and refreshing, and perfect for day wear. It has been inspired by New York city with an edgy, crisp and sophisticated aroma. It claims to be both innocent and sexy, fresh and fun.
The perfume has a both fruity and floral top notes. It has the sharp and juicy aroma of apple and grapefruit and the floral scent of Magnolia. At the heart of the fragrance is a combination of the floral scents of Rose and Lily of the Valley. The base notes add some warmth and depth to the fragrance which is brought by Amber, Musk and Sandalwood.
Packaging and Price
The fragrance has been packaged to resemble a rather shiny apple. The product is rounded in shape. The bottom half is where the perfume is contained and it is a green tinged glass through which you can partially see the perfume. The top half is shiny and metallic. You push down on the silver part to dispense the fragrance so it doesn't have a lid as such. The packaging makes it look like you get a lot more perfume than you actually do.
The perfume will cost you around £30 for 30 ml. Larger bottles are available although these will cost more. The perfume can be bought from stores such as Boots, fragrance stores and also from a range of online websites.
One of the main problems with buying this on an aeroplane is that I didn't get the chance to try it before buying it. When I opened the fragrance, I really did like the packaging. I thought it was eye catching and interesting, and it looks nice on display. The product is easy to dispense although the shape does make it a little more difficult to grip and hold than other perfumes.
When you push down on the top of the bottle, a few amount of the perfume is released so only two pushes are needed in order to get the desired results. It comes out as a stream rather than a mist but it doesn't mark or stain my clothes. The aroma of this perfume is fresh an crisp as promised. It is fruity rather than floral although a you can detect some of the included flowers on the edge. The musk give the fragrance a slight warmth but you can't smell any of the bottom notes predominantly.
The fragrance is evident and strong but in a light way. Those close to you will notice it but it would over power people or fill a room in the way that some fragrances can. The fragrance becomes quite sickly to me after a while and although it is a pleasant and generally nice aroma, it doesn't do it for me. It is definitely a day fragrance and it is also probably one that is better suited to the summer. The fragrance is long lasting and it sticks around for the day. The perfume is gentle on the skin and it hasn't caused me to experience any irritations.
All in all, this is a inoffensive and pleasant fragrance that is nice for summer days. It is refreshing and subtly fruity but it gets too sickly for me even though it is no way over powering. The packaging is pretty and the results are long lasting but this one doesn't get used much by me. My advice would be to try before you buy. I don't love this perfume but I don't hate it either so I'm giving it three stars.
This is the last of my perfumes that I own that I am going to review but is actually the perfume brand that I have used for the longest. I first bought it several years ago when I was quite new to wearing perfumes and since then have re-bought several new bottles to keep myself stocked up.
The name of the perfume "be delicious" is a reference to the delicious brand of apple and the first thing that attracted me to try the perfume was the bottle. It is a sleek round shape just like an apple with the bottom half made of clear glass though which you can see the sparkly green colour of the perfume and the top half a shiny silver. The spray for the perfume is cleverly integrated into the silver top so all you need to do is press down on it without taking off a lid at all which is really convenient. The whole of the packaging makes reference to the apple shape and it has not become quite iconic now although it was very new when it was first produced.
The perfume is very light and fresh and smells just like fresh crisp apples when you first take a bite out of them.
The full ingredients are:
Top notes of American Apple, crisp Green Cucumber and sparkling Grapefruit.
Middle notes of Magnolia, Tuberose, White Muguet, Rose and Violet
Base notes of Sandalwood and White Amber.
On spraying the perfume I like the fact that a reasonable amount is dispersed from the spray meaning that I don't have to use more than one spray. The scent is immediately obvious and the first impression is of the sparkly apple and other fruit scents. However once it is on my skin it tends to settle down a bit and become a softer as some of the floral scents and base notes come through.
I love this perfume and think it is a very fun perfume, which is suitable for daytime wear and probably suits younger people more. I must admit I wear it less now I am older although I still like to use it occasionally. It really does smell delicious like you want to eat it.
The perfume is long lasting on your skin and I find that it lasts most of the day once I have used it. When I wear it I find that it is immediately uplifting and it makes me smile which is a good tonic on any day!
Since it was first launched several different versions of the perfume have been produced and there is currently a version with a designer art design on the lid. The standard Eau de Parfum 30ml costs about £35 and can be bought from all perfume retailers including Boots, The Perfume Shop and department stores.
I would really recommend this perfume if you are looking for something fresh and fruity that is a fun and young style of scent. Just remember not to eat it!
A couple of years ago, my mum brought me Golden Delicious for Christmas, since then, she has brought me some more from the Delicious range, this being the most recent.
The fragrance comes in three different sizes, 30ml which retails at around £35, 50ml which retails at around £48 and 100ml which retails at around £67. I always try to buy gift sets as it always works out better value for money - Especially as these tend to get reduced in the January sales.
The design of the bottle is quite unique, shaped just like an apple and I cannot think of anything else on the market like it. The spray is quite powerful - by that I mean that quite a lot comes out (not like a mist), I also find it quite hard to position the bottle to get the 'stray' at the right angle due to the shape of the bottle.
According to Basenotes.com, the fragrance smells a follows:
Top Notes - Grapefruit, Cucumber, Magnolia
Middle Notes - Apple, Tuberose, White Muguet, Rose, Violet
Base Notes - White Amber, Woods
Up until Christmas, I had never smelt this before, so was a bit dubious at first as I have quite different taste to my mum and was worried it would be something she likes rather than what I like but I was actually quite pleased with her choice.
I find it really fresh, upon first spray; I can really smell the cucumber fused with magnolia which I love and I think it gives it that real summer feel. As the day wears on, I can detect a nice juicy apple aroma with a hint of warm amber. I have received loads of compliments when wearing this which I always find as a good sign.
The Delicious range is quite strong and you don't need to spray too much, several hours after spraying the fragrance is still quite strong and I have never found that I have reapply throughout the day.
In the same range, there are also body lotions and shower gels, I always like to apply my fragrance on top of a body lotion from the same range as I find it gives the perfume better staying power and also, I don't need to apply as much to get the same aroma.
Overall, despite my 'spraying issues', I love the design of the bottle and the fragrance therefore I would recommend it and give it 5 out of 5 stars.
Thanks for reading.
I love picking up new bottles of perfume to try out and as a wee treat. In the summer time, I picked up a bottle of the DKNY Be Delicious perfume in Debenhams as I had a little sniff at the tester in store and really loved the fragrance.
The bottle from this perfume is quite cool, it is shaped as an apple an is green in colour with a silver top. The spray works by pushing down the middle of the top of the apple down and which is quite handy and looks great. This apple also has a Be Delicious sticker marking on it, that reminds me of apples in the store, I think that this is quite a nice touch and is just a little extra bit of detail. I think that this bottle looks rather professional and it looks well sitting in my room. Also because the bottle looks so nice, it makes it a lovely looking present to give to someone on a special occasion.
Apple, Grapefruit, Magnolia
Violet, Rose, Tuberose, Lily-of-the-Valley
Sandalwood, White Amber, Blonde Woods
What I Thought
I really liked this perfume, it has the fresh, clean scent that I expected with a DKNY fragrance and it is has a fruity apple scent and also has subtle hints of floral tones as well.
I think that this is a really different scent, it is zingy, sophisticated yet really feminine and it makes me feel really good when I am wearing it. I would say that this scent is really rich smelling and I would usually keep my bottle to use for nights out and special occasions.
I really like that this scent has really good staying power, it can smell a little strong when it has been first applied, but it develops into a really lovely fragrance quite quickly and lingers nicely throughout the day.
I have been given lots of complements while I was wearing this perfume, my fiancé especially likes it and also my sisters and work colleagues have pass comments on how nice it smells.
This perfume doesn't set off my migraines, it isn't too overpowering or sickening and I have not had any problems when wearing it. This is great as I can sometimes have problems with strong perfumes triggering my headaches.
Price and Availability
You can pick up a bottle of the perfume in Debenhams for around £35-£60 depending on which bottle size you buy, I originally bought the smaller bottle, but next time I will buy the bigger one as I like it so much and know I will get the use out of it. Sometimes Debenhams do special %% off days, so it is a good idea to keep an eye out for this one around sale time.
I think that this is a fantastic perfume and love how different and feminine it smells. It isn't too expensive for the smaller bottle and it lasts ages and has really good longevity when sprayed. Overall I would give this perfume 5 out of 5 stars.

I originally got this DKNY Be Delicious perfume for Christmas a few years ago, and ever since then I have been a fan of the fragrance, and for the price it is welcome addition to my perfume collection.
The perfume was originally released in 2004, so since then the price has thankfully gone down somewhat. The perfume can be purchased from any outlets, however I usually purchase mine from my local Boots store. I opt for the 15ml sized bottle and that sells for around £15. It comes in larger sizes including a 30 ml bottle (£20) and a 50 ml (£30) bottle. I personally think that the price is quite reasonable compared to other highly expensive perfumes on the market.
The perfume comes in a simple box packaging, with a brown colour scheme. The box packaging although simple, manages to still make the perfume look sophisticated and more expensive than it is.
The perfume liquid comes inside a glass perfume bottle, which is in a shape of an apple. I personally love the design of the perfume; it makes it look unique and refreshing. The top half of the apple shape is made of silver mental and consists of the perfume lid, and below the lid the glass is coloured a light transparent green colour; again illustrating the design of the apple fruit.
==THE PERFUME NOTES==
~Tender Skin Accord~
The perfume has a very nice sweet scent, which at first spray can be a little overpowering. However after a minute the overpowering scent is replaced by the different sweet and fruity elements of the perfume. I was a little bit surprised with the fragrance, as the apple scent was not as noticeable as I originally thought it would be (considering the actual perfume bottle is shaped as an apple!), however it is still fruity and fresh smelling.
After a few minutes the flowery ingredient become more potent and as a result makes the perfume smell like a nice summery day at a fruit garden, making it a nice warm and attractive perfume to wear at anytime.
==DOES IT LAST LONG?==
I noticed that after a few hours the fragrance would start to wear off quite considerably, some of the fruity aspects were still somewhat noticeable, however it was less sweet and less flowery than before. This was a little bit of a let down, as it meant I had to reapply the perfume. On a positive note, when applying the perfume I only needed a very small amount as this held the right amount of fragrance to make it just right and not over powering, meaning that reapplying it again after 3 or 4 hours kind of balances it out.
The 15ml sized bottle, actually surprisingly lasts me quite a while. It can take me 6 or 7 months to get through the bottle, but that is only because I do not use it everyday and only tend to use it at special occasions.
Overall I really like this fragrance, its nice and sweet and has elements of flowery and fruity scents combined to make a very pleasant smelling perfume. It is reasonably priced and come in a nice attractive designed bottle. The only downside is that it is not as long lasting as I would have liked, and that the apple scent is not that noticeable. Apart from that I would recommend this perfume.
CK One has been my perfume of choice since the late 1990s, and as a creature of habit I have never really been bothered about trying out other perfumes so I've stuck with it. However, I do occasionally spray the odd perfume on in department stores and the like when out and about. I tried this DKNY Be Delicious perfume whilst at Manchester airport before our trip to Tunisia last September. It was very early in the morning, but I was in an excitable holiday mood and came back to my boyfriend (who was attempting to get some sleep on a bench) to tell him I'd found a gorgeous perfume and to ask him if he liked it. He didn't seem very impressed, but I think that was because he was half asleep!
Although I didn't buy any perfume then and there as I was unsure whether I really wanted to take the plunge, I did continue to test this perfume when I was out shopping, and eventually added it to my Amazon wishlist and dropped very unsubtle hints that went somewhere along the lines of "if you still haven't got any idea what to get me for Christmas, I'd like some of that perfume I tried at the airport!" Sure enough, on Christmas day there was a bottle of perfume along with a gorgeous Pandora necklace - my boyfriend did well for our first Christmas together!
The perfume comes in a brown card box with a yellow line around it. It says "DKNY - Donna Karan New York" on it, and a little oval (that looks like a sticker you'd find on an apple) saying "DKNY BE DELICIOUS - 100% Pure New York". Ingredients are written on the box with a warning that the perfume is flammable - personally I feel perfume is too expensive to set on fire! There are other fragrances in the range such as Fresh Blossom and Red Delicious which I imagine are equally nice.
I have the 30ml perfume bottle which is about the size of a Cox apple . The bottom half which contains the liquid is light green glass and the top half a shiny silver (with a sticky label on it like you'd get on an apple, as on the box packaging). The top half unscrews easily to reveal a silver coloured sprayer. I like the simple and yet elegant bottle.
---Application and the fragrance---
I tend to spray my right wrist (on the pulse point) and then rub it on my left wrist, and a squirt on my neck. The perfume sprays well from the bottle with no wastage.
DKNY Be Delicious is such a lovely fresh fragrance. This is where I struggle with perfume reviews as it's not my usual thing to review. I don't know anything about top notes and end notes and am not going to pretend that I do. However, for those who fins this information important, a search on the Internet tells me that Top notes are Violet leaf, apple, grapefruit, and magnolia, Middle notes are Lily of the valley, rose, and violet and Base notes are Sandalwood, amber, and musk.
In my terms you can definitely make out the smell of apples, but it's not overpowering. I don't really feel that I smell like an apple, but the hint is there. It's just lovely, crisp and light. Even if you went overboard with spraying it (which I don't intend to try), I don't think that you would scare people off.
---Wearing the perfume---
I don't wear this every day as I want it to last. Besides, I found a huge nearly full bottle of CK One hidden behind my boyfriend's aftershaves and I'm now working my way through that. I tend to wear this perfume on Mondays as I feel I need a boost before work, and whenever I think there might be a stressful day ahead...so usually Wednesdays and Fridays which are busiest at work. I find that having a quick sniff of my wrist makes me smile, and it also makes me think of my boyfriend!
I have had a fair few comments from people at work saying that I smell nice, so that is lovely to hear, and something I've never had before. It's certainly the perfume that they're smelling as I don't get any comments when wearing CK One...or perhaps I just generally smell so awful that people feel the need to comment when I actually smell nice? Who knows!
In terms of staying power, I find that I can still just about make out the fragrance at the end of the day, although I would probably put on an extra squirt if going out (not that I often do go out). One thing I did notice when trying on in a shop is that I got some on my jacket sleeve and I could still make out the smell on my sleeve for a few days. With such a nice fragrance this is a good thing!
I absolutely love this perfume and intend to wear it for a long time. Better still, since I have a DKNY watch (already reviewed), I match when I wear the perfume.
I would highly recommend this perfume. However as everyone is different, and different smells suit different people, definitely try before you buy, or before you buy it for someone (unless you like taking risks)! If this one doesn't suit, then perhaps you'll prefer another one in this DKNY range.
The 30ml perfume costs around £20 - £25. It is also available in 50ml and 100ml bottles which will probably work out more economical if you're going to wear it a lot. Next Christmas my boyfriend can get me a bigger bottle!
DKNY Be Delicious is a crisp and fresh perfume by Donna Karan New York. It is the first fragrance my fiancé ever bought me as a surprise among my Christmas gifts several years ago.
My DKNY Be Delicious is a 30ml bottle of the eau de parfum spray. I really love this perfume.

The 15ml bottle is available on Cheapsmells.com for £15.95 (recommended retail price £21.00).
The 30ml bottle is available on Cheapsmells.com for £23.95 (RRP £35.00).

The 30ml and 50ml bottles are available from Boots at their full RRPs. Debenhams also have 30ml and 50ml bottles at the above RRPs and also the 100ml bottle for £67.00.
The perfume is available in most department stores at similar prices.
~ Bottle ~
The bottle is almost spherical, representative of an apple. The bottom half of the bottle is transparent lime green coloured glass. The top half of the bottle is silver and on my bottle this is the lid of the bottle. The whole silver upper half of the bottle can be removed to reveal the spray button and the lime green lower half of the perfume bottle. This is quite disappointing as your bottle is suddenly a lot smaller than you previously thought, initially having been under the illusion that the perfume occupied more than just half of the bottle.
There is an oval sticker on the silver lid which is representative of an apple sticker. It has 'DKNY Be Delicious' on it then underneath in smaller print '100% Pure New York'. I think the apple sticker is a nice, fun touch to the bottle.
I think the bottle is nice and it adds something different to my dressing table's large collection. I don't think the bottle would be worth having without the lid though as it looks unidentifiable as DKNY Be Delicious and appears quite cheap as just half a bottle.
~ Scent ~
The scent is refreshing, fruity and really light.
It offers top notes of violet leaf, apple, grapefruit and magnolia, heart notes of tuberose, lily of the valley, rose and violet and base notes of sandalwood, amber and musk.
It smells as green as it looks and the crisp, fresh apple scent dominates this fragrance. It is surprisingly strong, but by no means overpowering. I always expect this perfume to be more subtle, knowing it to be light, fresh and fruity.
It is quite a youthful perfume. I could imagine a teenager wearing this fragrance, although I am in my mid-twenties and it is one I know to be popular among my friends of the same age. I also think an older, more mature woman could easily get away with this scent. I can't imagine that anyone would be offended by this scent.
I think it is more of a casual, every day scent rather than one for special occasions. I have found it to have good staying power as well.
~ Overall ~
Overall I think this is a nice, light, fresh, fruity fragrance and I would consider repurchasing if my bottle were to run out. I think the bottle is quite cute and adds something different to my dressing table. I think it is a perfume that will appeal more to younger girls and is perfect for every day wear, but would recommend it to anyone who the description appeals to.
I've had this perfume for quite a while now - around a year and a half and I love it! I've nearly used it all up and I will definitely be re-purchasing another bottle once I have. I'm trying to make it last for as long as possible as this is quite a pricy perfume and I can't really justify buying another bottle when I already have a ginormous perfume collection but it is definitely worth every penny.
I usually wear this when I'm going somewhere that is quite a casual event but I still want to make an effort, say a family meal or to the cinemas or something like that, as it's a casual and versatile fragrance but it stills smells special and expensive if that makes sense! Basically it's not over the top and while it's nice and fresh and light it has a subtle warmth which makes it ideal for any season. I have the 100ml bottle of this which retails at around £65.00 so like I said before it's not cheap!
Don't let the price put you off though, it is well worth the money and you can tell that it's an expensive perfume because of the high quality, delicious scent and it is very long lasting too even though only a few squirts is needed with each application. Smaller sized bottles are available - 30ml and 50ml and this perfume can be purchased from a huge range of shops - supermarkets, depertment stores, perfume shops and so on and it can be found at a slightly discounted price on sites such as Amazon.
The first thing that attracted me to this perfume was the apple shaped bottle, and after seeing the advert for it ages ago, I set off in search of it as I thought that the bottle was really unique. After sniffing this I fell in love and didn't mind forking out for it. I remember this been even more expensive than it is now when I bought it but I would rather buy one really good quality perfume once in a while rather than buying lots of cheap perfumes. This is a really luxurious and it's easily in the same league as my Chanel, Marc Jabobs and Thierry Mugler perfumes.
The perfume bottle is unique and although when I describe it it might sound a little childish (as it's an apple shape!) it is actually a really cool and elegant design. Pictures and descriptions don't do it justice. It's basically a round glass bottle which is very solid and sturdy without being bulky. Half of the bottle is tinted green which obviously reflects the apple fragrance while the other half is silver and very shiny. The silver part has got the DKNY logo on it and the perfume is released by pressing down on a little triangular button which is kinda cool!
The manufacturers describe this as a refreshing, juicy fragrance. They state that it combines the scent of apple with a blend of exotic flowers and sensual woods. The top notes are apple, cucumber and grapefruit while the middle notes are magnolia, tuberose, rose, violet and white muguet. The base consists of sandalwood and white amber. I was expecting this to be very floral, however it's really fruity with apple being the most prominent smell. It smells like natural apple rather than an artificial smell and it has a nice hint of floral which balances it out nicely and stops it from smelling too sweet. Although it's a very delicious, mouth waterring fruity kind of scent it's not too girly in my opinion and the woody notes give it a nice twist. The fragrance is fresh and uplifting and I feel like a million dollars when I'm wearing it!
Even though it is a fresh fragrance I would not class this as a summer scent as it has gorgeous, comforting warm tones which reminds me of a glass of warm apple juice and cinnamon. I personally find it hard to detect the amber in this and the notes that stand out to me are apple and cucumber which smells so much better than it sounds!! I usually squirt this on both wrists and my neck and the fragrance lingers on my skin all day and it is still detectable even when I've had my bath and am in my pj's! It's incredibly long lasting and in the year and a half that I've had it I've had countless compliments on the smell.
Overall, I can not recommend this enough.
DKNY Be Delicious is one of my favourite perfumes and is always in my collection. It has a beautiful fresh light fragrance perfect for everyday use.
It is from a range by Donna Karan, a New York fashion designer and although I have not tried any other products from the Be Delicious range that include, golden delicious, fresh blossom, sparkling apple, red, night and heart the world (3 different scents named after the cities London, Paris and New York City)
Body and bath products are also available as well as perfume.
The bottle comes in either a 30 ml or 50ml size. I have the 30ml bottle and lasts me quite a while as I find I only need a couple of sprays upon application.
The glass bottle is presented in the shape of an apple with the top half being silver and the bottom half green. On the bottle that I have, to apply you simply pull off the top silver lid to reveal a sprayer to release the scent. (some bottles may slightly differ in the fact that you just press down on the silver lid instead of pulling it off.)
Some people I know have said that the smell does not last a long time however I disagree, for myself it seems to last well throughout the day.
The scent is fresh, clean and light that is suited for everyday use, combining exotic flowers and sensual woods fragrances with ingredients including rose, cucumber, orchid and lilly.
The last bottle I purchased was earlier this year and I still have some left so last me quite a while. I can't remember what I paid for it but after looking online have found that in Superdrug it is priced at £30.99 and the perfume shop at £34.50 for a 30ml bottle.
Overall I would definitely recommend this perfume. ;-)
Until a few years ago I thought Donna Karen only made clothes and handbags. Turns out she makes pretty good perfumes too.
I bought this one, Be Delicious, in Boots for £18 which I thought was a real bargain for 50ml. The packaging is lovely, a glass bottle shaped like a green apple with a sleek silver top half. The push button dispenser is cleverly concealed in the top and sprays the scent easily. Even the box looks organic, a little like a wooden fruit pallet. The label is like the stickers that you find on apples, with the lettering in silver on white and green, simple yet stylish.
The scent, as you may have guessed is supposed to be predominantly green apple, but I don't really find apple at all. The top note I get is cucumber, followed by fresh fruit salad and in the lower notes, spring blossoms, particularly cherry blossom. The floral notes are light and summery, not too heavy and all the elements together make it smell vaguely edible. It's so fresh that I am happy to wear it during the day, in fact I use it all the time. The only thing that lets it down is that it doesn't last long, two to three hours at the most, which is ok for everyday but I would always wear something more long-lasting for a night out like Chanel or Givenchy.
This perfume is less expensive than some of the high-end brands and is an ideal summer scent for holidays, it's light and youthful and I feel good when I'm wearing it which in my opinion makes it excellent value for money. I recommend it.
