DKNY: Be Delicious for Women, Eau de Parfum

I first remember seeing this perfume advertised when I was shopping in the Waterfront in Cape Town in March 2005 and this was on promotion as we were given a free sample of the mens version and the lady's version and I thought it was delicious and was determined to buy a bottle from Duty Free before returning home until we arrived at the airport and ran out of time so it was a good 12 months until I finally got my hands on a bottle for my birthday from my lovely fiance. The way this perfume is designed is very sharp and contemporary. It is a little hard and to apply as you have to press the button with a bit of force and is hard to get angled. I don't like fruity or summer scents as they tend to smell a bit weird for me but this product certainly doesn't do that. The smell is intoxicating, it smells of apples which make you wanting more. I bought this perfume at the duty free shop in Zurich Airport whilst killing some time in between connecting flights and, I must say, I love it. I get loads of compliments from my friends and my boyfriend, who also love the smell. It is a light fresh smell (it really does smell like apples) and is perfect for every day wear, although I wouldn't wear this for more formal occasions or for going out in. The bottle is really attractive (it looks a bit different sitting on my shelf at home!) and really nice to hold as it fits into your hand really nicely. When i buying this product i got a gift set, so not only was the perfume included but i received a nice matching body lotion all presented in a attractive shiny box. The bottle itself was nade to look like an apple and due to the rounded shape was often awkward to hold but it tied in with the theme well. Unlike the partner red delicious, this perfume wasnt as fruity or sweet, but there was a definate apple scent and floral tones aswell. I bought a bottle of Be Delicious (an unwanted gift) on ebay after deciding it was too expensive in Boots!! I don't wear it every day as I think it is a bit too appley... For lack of a better word. It's more of a green apple-scented body spray than a perfume, the scent is so distinct!! It's a really light, fruity smell - very pleasant but in my mind doesn't really go with more elegant or formal dress (this makes sense in my head, bear with me!).
