*Introduction*

I am a huge fan of perfume. I am one of the lucky ones whose skin suits the majority of perfumes therefore I don't need to worry about it being brought as a gift without having tried and tested it first. Last year, my parents bought me DKNY Be Delicious for Women, Eau de Parfum in the duty free shop when they were returning from their trip from America. I love the smell of apples and I am guessing that this may have been one of the reasons that they bought this perfume.

*The Claim*

DKNY Be Delicious celebrates individuality with refreshing spirit like the city that inspired it. Served in a sleek metal and glass apple bottle, this juicy fragrance combines the scent of apple with a blend of exotic flowers and sensual woods.

*About DKNY Be Delicious (as claimed by the brand)*

DKNY Be Delicious is a fresh, sophisticated fragrance from the heart of New York City. Be Delicious opens with crisp, edgy top notes including American apple, crisp green cucumber and sparkling grapefruit. The middle notes are sweet and sinful with magnolia, tuberose, white muguet, rose and violet. In the base, sandalwood and white amber round out the scent with an innocent and sexy appeal. A scent with ripe possibilities that invites you to take a juicy bite out of life. Innocent, sexy, wholesome, provocative.

*Price and Availability*

DKNY Be Delicious can be purchased from a number of different shops including Debenhams, Boots, The Perfume Shop and House of Fraser. It is also available to buy online from www.boots.com as well as numerous other online perfume stores so if you want to lay your hands on a bottle, I don't believe that it will be a difficult task for you.

You can buy this perfume in 3 different size bottles. The prices for these average at around:
- 30ml bottle: £27
- 50ml bottle: £35
- 100ml bottle: £48
I think that these are very reasonably priced for the brand and I will definitely consider buying the perfume again as and when my current bottle runs out as I love the fresh scent that the smell of apple gives off.

*My Opinion*

The packaging: The packaging of perfume is almost as important as the smell itself. For me, it is something that will sit on the side in my bedroom therefore I want it to look nice. DKNY reach my expectations of design and surpass them with their perfume Be Delicious.

It is a spherical ball shaped bottle that is in the design of an apple. How fabulous is that? Well I think it is anyway as it resembles the image of an apple well. At the top part of the bottle, it is a silver metal and the bottom half is a tinted olive green coloured glass. I like this as you can see how much or how little you have remaining. On the silver part of the lid, there is a triangle shaped button which you press down on to release the perfume. The spherical shape with this button is very easy to grip and simple to use.

I absolutely adore the design of this fantastic, funky bottle. The whole idea behind the product fits together perfectly, especially due to the shape, appearance and design of the bottle. A round of applause from my part goes to the design team of this product as I feel they have done a fantastic job. Bravo indeed.

The smell: The one main smell that I find very distinctive with this perfume is of apples. There is no question that you can smell them in this fragrance. This makes the smell predominantly fruity, although once on your skin for a while, there is a slight floral aroma that comes out.

This perfume is a fruity and summery aroma that is perfect for wear during the day. It is definitely not a perfume that I would consider wearing in the evening for a girls night out as I prefer something a little more sensual like Givenchy Ange Ou Demon. It is another perfume that is not overpowering or in your face yet one which is noticeable when you use an appropriate amount.

The brand describes this perfume as being a scent with ripe possibilities that invites you to take a juicy bite out of life. It has such a fresh, fruity smell that this statement is most definitely correct. There is something about this perfume that allows you to feel a sense of confidence and an aura of 'I can do anything'.

How many squirts of the perfume are required? Very few squirts of this perfume are necessary as it is very powerful yet somehow, amazingly not too much. Somehow though, I think that if you went overboard and squirted too much of the perfume over you, it would be a little bit intense. Two squirts allow the fragrance to linger on your skin all day long which is really what you want from a perfume.

Staying power: DKNY Be Delicious has fantastic staying power. A very small amount will leave you with its fruity, fresh scent for the whole day. Towards the end of the day you may find that it has faded slightly but the aroma is still distinctly on your skin towards the end of the day.

Longevity of the product: I have the 50ml bottle of DKNY Be Delicious and I have worn it quite frequently in the past. I am a bit of a strange one and only tend to wear this perfume in the summer and spring months. Now that it has hit autumn, it has been placed back in my drawer, not to be seen again until March of next year. Somehow, it just doesn't seem right to wear such a fresh, bright and summery smell whilst it is dark, gloomy and raining. But that it just me and my quirky ways. It will probably last you well over a year as such a little amount is required for daily use. Great value for money.

*Would I Recommend This Perfume?*

I would recommend this perfume strongly although I do believe it will be one that you either love or hate. If you like the smell of apples or like a fruity, tangy scent, I believe this is a perfume that you will adore, like I do.

DKNY Be Delicious is another perfume that would be perfect as a gift but due to its specific smell you may want to test the water and ask them if they like it first. That would be my advice anyway.

*Overall*

DKNY Be Delicious is one of my favourite perfumes therefore I would definitely recommend the product. When I wear this perfume, I feel encouraged and sure. It is fresh and vibrant leaving you smelling and feeling great. You won't regret buying this for yourself or as a gift, I'm sure.
