DKNY Be Delicious Women Eau de Parfum
Advantages: Smells divine, great staying power, bottle lasts well
I first smelt this perfume when my sister came wandering into my house as she usually does and a lovely smell followed her, I wanted to know what perfume it was straight away as I loved it. She told me it was Be Delicious by DKNY and I put it on my christmas list hoping I would get some myself and sure enough I did.
The perfume can be bought from many places such as Boots, Amazon and our local Tesco store even had it at christmas although like with most fragrances it seems to be found cheaper on the internet. I have looked this perfume up on cheap smells for the purpose of this review and the current prices are as follows,
15ml - £16.95
30ml - £22.00
50ml - £35.75
100ml - £49.95
As you can see the bigger bottle you buy the better the price works out, I was lucky enough to be bought a 50ml bottle.
The perfume comes in a circular bottle made to look like an apple, the bottom half is green glass the colour of a green apple such as Golden Delicious, the top half is silver in colour and really shiny. The trigger for the perfume is a triangular press down button on the top of the silver looking like the apple stalk and then there is a little sticker on the side with the name of the creator and the fragrance like you would get a sticker on an apple. I really love this bottle and think it was a brilliant idea for a perfume bottle and love the look of it, I like that I can see in side to see how much is left although I admit it is getting worryingly low now!!
When you press the button for the perfume to spray it presses easily and it gives a good squirt so you don't need many squirts each use. The smell is sweet and smells as you would probably have guessed now like apples, I can't say I have ever thought of apples as being such a lovely smell but this is. I think it smells like pure apple juice but not quite so strong with a hint of a woody smell along with it, the perfume is light and is a perfume I wear everyday.
When I recently went to the hairdressers she asked what perfume I was wearing as she could smell it in my hair, even after my hair has been wasdhed it is the perfume you can smell more than the shampoo, I'm not sure if my hair just picks this up really well or it would cling to everyones hair but I like it since my hair is so long when I turn it seems to re-release the fragrance.
The smell of this perfume is very long lasting and even when I think it has gone if I smell my wrist I can still smell it and other people have commented on my perfume late in the day so I know others can still smell it. This perfume is to me the very best perfume I have ever had, it smells great and the smell lasts, it looks great and in the grand scheme of perfumes it isn't overly expnsive especially if you buy the bigger bottles. I have been using a 50ml bottle since christmas day and would say I still have 1/4 of a bottle left so I think the bottle lasts really well.
In the range of this perfume there is a mans version which is in a brown bottle and a fresh blossom version which is in a pink bottle, I haven't smelt either of these but since I like this one so much I will look out for a squirt of the others when I am in my local Boots or perfume shop.
