Advantages: Good price, smeel snice and decent staying power

Disadvantages: Can be quite heay at first!

I hardly ever buy my own perfume and in fact it is very rare for me to do so! I think I have probably bought less than a handful in my entire life and the rest have been given to me as presents but, even then I don't own that many! I received this perfume along with another off my mum last year when she had been to a shops closing down sale and she had bought one for herself and then another for me because she got it so cheap.

The packaging:
To me this perfume has a very eye catching box as it is very bright and draws your eye to it. I think this is also part of the reason my mum would have been drawn to it as well. The box is a mix of bright fuchsia, lime green and royal blue and then around the whole box is a bright lime green ribbon! Upon taking the ribbon off, the box then folds out from two of the sides and lastly the square bit of the box is lifted off to reveal the small glass bottle sat on a pink tray. All very fiddly to get out if you are one who likes to keep in the original box or display case!
The pick section of the box that lifts up tells us the name of the perfume as 'fantasy' in lime green and is visible between the two fold s that come apart once you take the ribbon off.

The scent:
I am not very technical at all when it comes to describing fragrances so this is more my way of explaining how I feel the scent comes across!
When I initially spray it onto my skin it is quite strong I feel in that it is very sweet almost. It is quite heady and a single spray on my wrist is adequate enough to really be able to smell it. I found though when the scent has been on for a while and I sniff my wrist, it then smells a lot better as it isn't as overpowering and has a more milder sweetness to it. It reminds me of flowers that you can only smell when you get up close but, when you do they are full of their aroma and you want to keep sniffing them because they have an almost addictive scent to them if that makes sense?
I really quite like this as it doesn't feel like one of those perfumes where you would be overpowering to everybody else but, instead give off a lovely subtle scent. Also it does seem to have quite good staying power as when I have worn it people have commented on it even after I have had it on for hours so this obviously shows it is still there on my skin!

Price:
My mum got a total bargain as she only paid £3.50 for this perfume but, usually this retails for around the £11-£15 mark. I do really quite like it and think it suits me so I would happily use it and if it was given to me then I would be quite happy indeed.

Overall opinion:
Yes I would buy it if I was going to buy myself a perfume and as I say I would be quite happy to receive it although there are a few perfumes out there that I do much prefer such as Jean Paul Gaultier's 'Madame' which is one I truly love! However as a cheaper alternative if I was strapped for cash and had ran out of anything to use this would be one I would be happy to look at. I think of course it wouldn't suit everyone and also it is marketed more at a younger consumer such as teenagers maybe but, overall I quite like it so would give it a good 4 stars for overall niceness and the cheaper price tag.

Summary: A decnet priced celebrity perfume that doesn't smell too bad either!
