Spiced Green Tea
Paid £3 for a 5 ml handbag sized bottle.
Currently the 50 ml bottle sells for £27 on Amazon.
Fragrantica websire state - 'an Oriental Spicy fragrance. Spiced Green Tea was launched in 2001. Top notes are ginger, rhubarb, lemon verbena, anise and lemon; middle notes are jasmine, tea and cardamom; base notes are labdanum, sandalwood, patchouli and incense'.
I bought the small handbag sized bottle a while ago online for £3. It was intended as a little something to go in my present drawer but I ended up using it for myself as I fancied a change.
The bottles of both sizes are the same and are quite nondescript and plain. The handbag size one however is good to carry around with you. The perfume itself is a good daytime fragrance and lasts for about 2 to 3 hours. It is light and refreshing but at the same time is sort of mellow and spicy. The main notes that I can detect are the ginger and lemon and possibly the sandalwood. Although spicy it is light enough to be used for the summer months as well.
Not one I would rave over but I am happy to finish using my bottle. I would not want to spend £27 on a large bottle but I would buy a small one again if it was on sale for around £3. This to me is just an ordinary every day sort of fragrance - not my favourite but nice enough to use and is better than having no perfume on and is not one that annoys me when I wear it.
So in effect just a good ordinary perfume - nothing special but quite adequate.

Why Do I Have This?
In all honesty I'm not sure where my bottle of this perfume appeared from as it seemed to magically appear in the bathroom one day! I'm presuming that one of my friends must have left it by mistake when they came to visit but after asking around and nobody seeming to know anything about it I just kept it with my ever growing collection of perfumes.
As I just mentioned I "inherited" this perfume seemingly out of nowhere so I don't know how it was originally packaged. The bottle however is peach in colour and is a simple glass bottle with a peach tint to the glass and a matching peach coloured plastic lid with a pump spray nozzle. In my opinion the bottle looks quite basic yet the decoration on the bottle makes it look reasonably nice. The front of the bottle has the Elizabeth Arden logo and the name of the fragrance printed on it in some nice easy to read lettering. The reverse of the bottle has a large image of a leaf printed on it in the same peach colour. The liquid inside the bottle is clear and there is a small label on the bottom of the bottle stating the size and manufacturer, Elizabeth Arden, USA.
How Does It Smell?
Spiced Green Tea has quite strong and almost (but not quite) woody scent to it. There is a certain warmth in this scent, however for me I find it to be a little strong as I prefer more fresh and lighter scents, although saying this I do find myself drawn to the scent at the moment as it feels quite autumny. I would describe the smell as being quite spicy and you can definitely catch the cinnamon in there and possibly a more citric hint of lemon too, although this is very subtle.
Since discovering this bottle in our bathroom I think I have only really worn it about two or three times. My reason being that while I do kind of like the scent, it is just a little too strong for my liking so I tend to avoid it unless I really do fancy a complete change. I think with autumn being here and the weather starting to turn a little chilly I may start to wear this more often as it does have a nice warmth about it but for me it is certainly not an everyday scent or one I could wear all year round.
On the few occasions when I have worn this Spiced Green Tea I have found that due to the strength of the scent it will quite easily last the whole day and into the evening and I have never needed to re-apply it. I find that Spiced Green Tea can initially be too overpowering for me so when I do want to wear it I tend to spray it onto my clothes before I get dressed to allow the strength to at least settle a little before I have it up close to me.
As this perfume randomly appeared in my bathroom I don't know how much was paid for it. However a quick search online tells me it is available on Amazon priced at £8.99 for a 100ml bottle.
Would I Recommend?
If you like the stronger and slightly bolder scents then you would most probably like this and I would recommend it as it isn't a "bad" scent, its just not my kind of scent. It is not really the kind of scent I would go out and purchase myself but being as I still have half a bottle left I will still use it from time to time but I wont be making any future purchases.
3 out of 5 from me.
Thanks for reading :)
