I do not have many perfumes but the ones I have I really like. One of the few perfumes I own is this Escada Moon Sparkle.
What first attracted me to this perfume was the name and also the shape of the bottle. When passing through Debenhams I cannot help myself and I always stop and smell the perfumes on display. One day this one was there and I loved the bottle. It looks a bit like a tear drop and it is coloured pink at the top and gradually blends down to dark blue which makes it look really nice. The shape of the bottle feels nice in your hand too, the shape is perfect.
I like the name moon sparkle, it makes it sound quite magical and also rather girlie!
The smell is lovely, it's quite sweet in a floral and fruity kind of way which is nice, it's a young person's smell (I believe!) it's quite zesty and fresh.
I find that you just need to use one or two squirts and this is enough. Anything more than it's a bit too strong and I am not the kind of person who likes to walk past someone and leave them sniffing the air wondering what the smell was, I prefer to be more subtle and so if you're like me don't try and put more than two squirts on!
It does last quite a while but I do find after about 3 hours I do need to put a bit more on.
I really like this because it's not a hugely strong smell and it's fresh and sweet. The bottle I have has lasted me a year but is no almost ran out. I struggled to find it again and my husband actually tracked a new bottle down on Ebay so I think it may be hard to get hold of now, or at least it was recently here.
I do recommend this if you are looking for something fresh and young. It's a light scent which I think is nice as an every-day perfume.
Perfume and I...a love story x
My name is Anna Louise. My favourite of my senses is smell... I know-what a curious and verging on the ridiculous thing to say I hear some doubters saying! ...But if you do understand me, you know what a thrill a fragrance can be. Its really inexplicable to me how just a concoction of fragrant notes can create hugely different and amazing fragrances to suit every occasion, mood, and create or add to memories, but ohhhhh they can! Hey I'll tell you now I know nothing technical about perfume, its creation nor production I only know what I like...
Escada Moon Sparkle for her- EDT
I first came by this amazing Moon Sparkle perfume by Escada perfume design house on its release in 2007. The thing about Escada as you may know is that they release seasonal scents. This was summer 2007's release and went off sale once it had had its season... :( sad times. At that time I first bought it from Superdrug, where I was working, at a great value-something like £19 for 50ml. Normally I recommend Superdrug for competitive prices, great staff and beauty points ;p but sadly they cant help with this one although they do tend to stock whatever the latest Escada perfume is-go just before the launch of a new one and they'll be selling off the old one at a great discount!
Summer was great wearing it though-I wore it most days and it evoked feelings within me of vibrancy, fun and fun-times with a new partner at the time, I felt alive wearing it. Because of it being limited edition I've run out several times of this fragrance from my 'stocks!' and have been devastated as I've had to search the internet shops high and low...Most have something in stock but its usually the rather pointless mini 4ml version (at RRP £12.60) which I would use up in 2 days, or because of the lack of availability the prices are more than I would like to pay. Why I like it...its very different to some of the fragrances I usually like which tend to be subtle and understated. This is an EDT, which is a disadvantage and so doesn't stay on for a particularly good length of time. But it is a vibrant instantaneous scent. It is big, loud, fruity, juicy and exotic; with notes of sweet pea, freesia, strawberry, sandalwood citrus cocktail, rose, jasmine, red apple, raspberry, and blackcurrant. You cant go without it being noticed if you've just sprayed it and I've never known anyone dislike it-they've often asked 'wow what's that?'. I think its preety sensual as well-its so juicy and fruity it kinda makes your saliva-glands go into overdrive which I guess is a bit of a turn-on for some. Great for increasing the chances of a few sexy summer snogs! I'm still without it at the moment so maybe when I save up some Ciao pennies I might be able to source some...! A x
I had the pleasure of purchasing a bottle of Escada Moon Sparkle fragrance (created 2007) while in Malaysia recently. It's a really beautiful eau de toilette for women with a mid-strength evening fruit and flower bouquet.
Opening with notes of strawberry, blackcurrant, citrus and red fruit, the fragrance moves onto middle tones of sweet pea, freesia, jasmine and rose. The last notes which remain on the skin after an evening's wearing include raspberry, musk, sandalwood and amber in the base.
I find that when you first put on the fragrance, it is strong and fruity, but within 15 mins you can smell more floral than fruit. My favourite time to make the most of the fragrance is about 1 hour after putting it on, hence I like to spray once on my evening out (if my handbag's big enough at the time!)
It takes about seven hours to have the fragrance turn extremely subtle and wear off, so it's reasonable lasting fragrance.
Escada Moon Sparkle comes in a nice looking pink/purple gradated glass bottle. It's quite large for 100ml and the glass walls are not especially thick, which means you feel like you get more for your money. However, it's not easily transportable due to size and is more of an ornamental dresser fragrance. The silver capped lid is of a high quality - the perfume does not degrade the lid over time and a plastic fitting holds the nozzle in place so tipping the bottle upside down results in no leakage.
The box it comes in isn't very memorable, hence I won't worry about emphasising the delights of the box here.
Escada Moon Sparkle is quite well priced at £18.69 new on Ebay. I paid £24.00 for two Escada fragrances (£12.00 each for 100ml) from a street vendor in Kuala Lumpur, after talking him down from £123.00 for two. Escada is a good brand with sensual and feminine fragrances that avoid smelling "cheap" so it's worth paying a little more to get a desirable fragrance like this one.
Moon Sparkle captures perfectly the essence of a gracious summer's evening. It is the kind of fragrance you would wear to an evening at the theatre, to dinner with a loved one or even for a night on the town. Men don't object to it. Women really seem to like it. It even works in bra and knickers, making you feel sensual, desirable and very rich. Highly recommend.
I love perfumes and I always order free samples whenever I can and you can often see me in the perfume section in department stores, trying different perfumes. This is how I came across Escada Moon Sparkle. I was randomly trying perfumes in Debenhams and this one seemed to really agree with my sense of smell.
Firstly, the fragrance.
It is easy on the nose and not too overly strong or pungent. It has a fruity aroma to it and is pleasant. It does not make me sneeze like some other fruity/flowery scents do so is perfect. A few squirts and it lasts for quite a few hours before reapplication is necessary. I usually wear this during the daytime as to me, it's more of a daytime fragrance than one you would wear out in the night for something of a more formal nature, for example.
Secondly, the price. It is cheap (compared to other fragrances I have) and it is worth the money. I have had my bottle for two years (bought for just under 20 GBP at the time in Debenhams) and it's got about two or three more months use left in it. I use it every second day or so as well, so it's not like I've used it sparingly. I also go crazy when applying by spraying it everywhere!
The bottle is quite small which is deal for the handbag so no need for an atomiser unless you are carrying a clutch bag, but even so, it's small enough to fit in there.
This is easily one of my favourite daytime scents and when my bottle runs out, needless to say, I will definitely be purchasing another bottle of this to replace it!
I'm one of those people who owns a few bottles of perfumes, tends to buy them at duty free and seldom actually wears them! This one was completely different, the scent reminds me constantly of my holiday in spain where i wore it. It's a summery fruity fragrance and it's not ridiculously expensive either, i thought it was great value for money. Comes in a lovely bottle, you can see exactly how much you've got left and it's colourful. I know a lot of friends who have had problems with perfume breaking in their bag but this one is a good solid bottle that i think it'd be pretty hard to break. Main thing is it smells nice, it looks nice and it's a great scent. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a summer scent, if you don't believe it me go to your local perfume seller and have a sniff, it's good value for money and i love it!
Escade Moon sparkle is a truely unique scent. The bottle is really nice its like an oblong shape, smaller at the bottom and then getting wider as it retreats upwards. The colour starts of darkish blue/purple and then gets lighter up the bottle, so its two tone, and the lid is a really simple silver colour. The fragrance to me was really sensual and seductive which was suprising as its scents are quite fruity including strawberry, blackcurrant, citrus cocktail and red apple. I thought it would be alot more light and fruity but its not, you can smell the fruitness but in a more deep way. The scent is really sexy and magical its great. Also when i sprayed it the texture wasnt at all sticky, all it required was a little rub to blend it in and lots of people have asked what im wearing ive even bought it for a few friends as gifts. I personally would wear it on a night time because its got a more romantic feel to it. Its also really quite cheap you can buy 30-50ml bottle within the price range of £15-20. So if your looking for something to spice up your life try moon sparkle
I bought this perfume at an airport in summer, before my holidays and it is such a summery scent it was perfect!
It's fun, flirty and feminine with a candy-fruit smell. It has a distinct strawberry smell, with apple notes too. It also has undertones of rose. I really enjoy being able to catch the scent of the different notes used in the fragrance, because it means they did an accurate representation of their fragrance. It dries down to incorporate a soft but not cloying blend of freesia and jasmine.
However, it may be a bit too sweet-smelling for some, as it is quite fruity and sweet. Those who prefer musky, woodier perfumes may find this a bit sickly and overpowering.
This perfume is available as a body lotion and shower gel. It is also available for men; 'Moon Sparkle for Men', in an eau de toilette and shower gel.
I bought this fragrance after picking it from 100s at the duty free in the summer. I paid near on £30 for it so was a little annoyed you can find it online for £14.99, still I smelled beautiful all holiday. It is a grwat summer fragrance, really fruity and not too heavy. The bottle is a beautiful purplely blue colour and looks impressive on the dressing table. If your buying this for your girl, suss out her taste first as I don't think it's one everyone will like, it's an unusual highly fruity smell. I found soon after I had a blueberry body spray from Boots and I actually could not tell the difference between that and the Escada. I think here you are paying from the pretty bottle and a name tag. A good fragrance, but not distinctive as the same aroma can be achieved with a cheaper product.
This is my favorite scent at the moment. I bought this at the airport whilst traveling to Florida and it reminds me of my holiday every time I wear it.
Its a stunning summer fragrance that Id say is more for evening wear then day wear but I love it so I wear it all the time.
I was originally looking for the one in the orange bottle as I smelt it a while ago but was put off by the cheap looking bottle. I was told that they dont make it anymore and are always launching variations, so get this one whilst you still can ladies as its lovely, and bottles nice to boot.
Its a very fruity sweet frangrance but no overly sweet. Its also very cheap at about £25-£30 a bottle so its great value for money, and last a long time without going off unlike some perfumes.
