I received a huge 75ml bottle of Beautiful a couple of years ago at Christmas - not just any bottle, but a special edition really camp chunky bottle with an over the top giant pink atomiser puff.

As first looks go, I was bowled over - such a fab gift, that the smell of the perfume was almost beside the point.

When I made that first puff of the atomiser, a gorgously floral scent emerged - possibly more richly floral than any other fragrance I have used. When applied to the skin, the floral scent warms nicely and the base notes of amber and sandalwood do their job and the fragrance becomes a rich warm one rather than an overly sweet one.

The notes of the fragrance are as follows:

Top notes: rose, mandarin, lily, tuberose, marigold

Middle notes: Orange flower, muguet, jasmine, ylang ylang

Base notes: Sandalwood, vetiver, amber

Now don't get me wrong - this very floral fragrance won't be for everyone's taste - I love florals, but even this is too much for me some days. However, when the sun is shining and I want to wear a long floaty dress and feel feminine, this is the fragrance for me.

The fragrance feels and smells a quality product and after applying in the morning, I can still smell the fragrance, but then I would expect nothing less from an Estee Lauder product.

The price for 30ml from the Estee Lauder website is £32, but you can find it for under £30 in some of the cheaper on-line outlets. If you like your florals then this could be for you, but DO try it first, as it may be that little too much for some people.
