I'm a big fan of Estee Lauder and of their fragrances which they seem to know how to improve without ruining the classic and staple scent of Estee Lauder.
The 'Pleasures' range is a continuous range that I started to actually buy for my mum a few years ago for Mother's day and tend to get the upgraded scents and a little cheeky bottle for myself! They're suitable for any age. It's not a fragrance for young people so that older people cannot try and vice versa. It seems to meet everyone's need.
This is ideal I would say for evening Springtime. It's intense and elegant to apply for more the evening time or lunch time meeting up with friends. It just has that gorgeous laid-back scent about it but with a touch of effort.
LE CHARME PEONY
TOGER LILY PINK
This is intensely floral and gorgeous. It smells special yet laid back and you don't need to apply a lot to get someone to notice the scent or you as you walk past.
I received some wonderful comments when I mentioned this to friends and colleagues.
This is priced variously at:
15ml for £23
30ml for £36
50ml for £50
100ml for £72
The body wash and body cream is also available to enhance the scent. Although incredibly gorgeous already it helps it last longer.
This just reminds me of the spring, a fresh shower scent and it sparkles with the rose scents colliding. All the notes blend incredibly well together complimenting each other really well. Not one note is too strong.
I love this range and would highly recommend you sample this at your local department store or EBAY sells small vials
This is one of my favorite scents and seems to suit so many people. I bought my first bottle about 12 years ago coming back from my first holiday without my parents so i associate it with fond memories. However when i returned i was to to discover that both my mum and gran already had it on their dressing tables!! I am sure not many perfumes can boast that it is loved by three generations! The scent always reminds me of warm summer days with its light notes however can be worn during the day or night.
It comes in a talc, body lotion, perfumed body cream, bath and shower cream and perfumed body powder. The bottle is also compact and slim lined so great to take away with you for the weekend, unlike so many of the perfume bottles these days. I would defiantly give this perfume 5 stars.
I was introduced to this perfume in an airport duty free lounge and from my very first spray and sniff I loved it! I had sprayed some on the back of my hand and kept smelling it all through the flight home and was kicking myself that I hadnt bought some!
My subtle hints paid off though and I recieved some for my birthday and so my love affair with this perfume could continue!
The perfume type is described as a lush floral and Contains Notes of Green Lily, Le Charme Peony, Velvety Moroccan Rose, silky Pink Tiger Lily, Jasmine, Maple Wood and Benzoin crystals with a spicy touch of Vanilla.
As the name implies it is more intense than the original Pleasures but is by no means overpowering although I do tend to use it as an evening perfume, or as my other half would say "my pulling scent". I wish!
I find that a little goes a long way so even though it is quite expensive at around £30-£40 it is longlasting and therefore a good investment. (Well thats what I tell my Hubby!)
It must be said though, that my best friend doesnt like it at all, and thats the trouble with reviewing a perfume as it comes down to personal taste, a bit like marmite you either love it or hate it.
Try it an see which side you are on.
All I know is that I love it!
Launched in 2002, Pleasures Intense is an intimate fragrance suitable for evening wear. It begins on a top note of green lilly, cassis and ylang ylang, moves on to a middle note of Moroccan rose, tiger lilly, tiare blossoms and jasmine, and then blends to a base of maple wood, benzoin crystals and vanilla.
