Advantages: Uplifting, refreshing, glorious scent. Light and versatile.

Disadvantages: Not recommended for night time wear.

Estee Lauder describe their perfume creation "Pure White Linen" as a 'fresh, luminous' scent and I really have to say, luminous is definitely the right word for it.

Even just having a little sniff of the bottle, there's an incredibly delicate, fresh sweetness that really is like luminous morning dew, or moonlight, or something else a little bit magical.

Upon spraying the perfume onto the skin you are hit with some tingling fruity, citrusy notes, which swiftly sweeten into a spicier floral freshness. To me it has the tiniest touch of honeysuckle overlain by a summery citrus orchard. This fragrance is never heavy, it is light and sparkling from the first breath to the heart and base notes. The longer it is on the skin the more it mellows into the deeper, spicier notes, but there is always a lightness to it, making it absolutely perfect for daytime wear, especially in warmer weather when something heavier would feel cloying. That being said I am also often tempted to use this for a bit of a summery cheer-up in winter!

It's not a perfume I would wear at night or for going out as its lightness is likely to be overwhelmed in smoky or heavily scented environments (like restaurants). For me it's the perfect office fragrance as it's light-hearted and uplifting without being overpowering.

On me this perfume does settle very quickly. I would say within 10 minutes it is at a very subtle level, more of an aura than a scent, one of those fragrances that tends to make people think that you naturally smell amazing because it doesn't announce itself as a PERFUME. If you are someone who likes to have a recognisable scent on all day I think you would need to reapply at least once during the day.

This fragrance is truly versatile and I think could be comfortably worn by a woman of any age.

Summary: A must have.
