Advantages: Potency, the smell itself, presentation.

Disadvantages: None

The original Sensuous is exactly that. I was told by an Estee Lauder employee that it was meant to be a mix between a masculine and feminine perfume, and it definitely has an energy from the combination. It seems mature yet playful, definitely not sickly- and perfectly boyfriend friendly; I usually keep a hairband on my wrist, and it easily picks up the smell. Once my boyfriend realised that it did he started keeping my old hairbands because they smelled so lovely! I'd recommend it to anyone of or over the age of 16- and the beautiful and sophisticated packaging would make a perfect gift.

I first found Sensuous on a trip to London three years ago, when I was given a beautiful purple ribbon with the fragrance sprayed on. I had various other perfume ribbons from House of Fraser and I'd tried them onto my bag, but this one smelled so good I wanted to keep its smell, so I kept it zipped up inside and rationed my exposure to it. At the time I was still working my way through a bottle of Clinique Happy, but it was never finished as I found the little roll on bottle at a discount shop for about £14 and instantly started wearing it every day; and it lasted for ages, being in roll on form. I got the 50ml bottle for my birthday the next spring, and I still haven't quite finished it (although I'm getting scarily close!), because it's potent enough to last well into the evening. If you have long hair it also works well if you spray it into your hair from a distance; you send out a refreshing waft whenever you move your hair.

Summary: Not to be confused with Noir or Nude- this one's the one to go for.
